Hi All, so I'm at my mums with all my sisters having a socially distanced BBQ had a few drinks really taken my mind off TTC, until I've been to the loo and theres brown spotting in my underwear sorry if tmi, is this early AF or shall I put my drinks down?

Aokbaby · 20/06/2020 19:13

Where are you in your cycle @kk251289

Hoping41 · 20/06/2020 19:28

So sorry @giraffelover90 that sounds like a complete roller coaster of emotions. I really hope it all works out for you!!

Swifty2 · 20/06/2020 19:46

@Douya losing weight definitely helps with PCOS! I'd highly recommend listening to episode 8 of series 1 of the Big Fat Negative podcast, it really explains how controllable PCOS is really nicely!

DSC1 · 20/06/2020 20:01

@Giraffelover90 wow you have really been through it. Huge congratulations on the BFP, I truly hope everything works out for you. Please keep us updated.

KK251289 · 20/06/2020 20:05

@Aokbaby day 22 so 6 days before AF x x

Aokbaby · 20/06/2020 20:16

@KK251289 sounds promising, could Def be implantation spotting or could be spotting before af, it's so difficult to tell. I'd maybe not have any more drinks just incase 🙈

Posy1 · 20/06/2020 20:17

@Giraffelover90 oh my, you really have been through alot! So glad the op went well and fingers crossed for everything pregnancy wise.

@KK251289....so about 8 Dpo? Could be implantation bleeding alright, do you have any cramps? Have you ever spotted between cycles before? I'm sure a few drinks won't do any harm even if it is, but maybe for your own peace of mind have a cup of tea next. Fingers crossed for you.

Seafrontsky · 20/06/2020 20:23

Crikey @Giraffelover90 that's a hell of a few weeks you are having. Hope you're bearing up ok and that everything goes ok for you with the pregnancy. Sending you lots of positive vibes

KK251289 · 20/06/2020 20:26

@Aokbaby and @posy1 I've never had it this early only the day before, and last month had a 28 day cycle. I've had some cramps but not enough for pain killers or a hot water bottle. I hope this isnt another cruel game.

@Giraffelover90 wishing you all the luck in the world, seems like you've been through so much x

MummyOfZog · 20/06/2020 20:27

Thanks for the new thread @Twinkle

Marking my spot! I'm 9DPO today. Had planned to test tomorrow but have got AF cramps today (though no spotting or blood yet) so I'm thinking I'll wait till Monday as I expect to wake up to AF tomorrow morning. I am due on Monday (I have a short 11-12 luetal phase). Need some optimism to get me through yet another cycle so will be relying on you ladies!

Giraffelover90 · 20/06/2020 20:36

Thank you for your well wishes. I will definitely keep you updated! I have everything crossed for you lovely ladies too 🤞🏻 xx

Aokbaby · 20/06/2020 20:48

@KK251289 definitely sounds promising, fingers crossed 🤞

@MummyOfZog here's hoping nothing shows up tomorrow, can I ask have you always had a short leutal phase? Do you have any kids already?

MummyOfZog · 20/06/2020 20:59

@Aokbaby yeah it's always been about 10-11 days. Fell pregnant quickly and easily with DS and I've read it isn't a problem provided it is longer than 9 days. Didn't cause issues the first time so I'm just hoping it's the same trying for #2

Tink2019 · 20/06/2020 21:37

@aokbaby I normally buy them on Amazon. They come in a pack with pregnancy strips - but so far haven’t needed to use any of them 😭

@seafrontsky Hope your walk helped, it’s so frustrating when you’re feeling positive and something knocks you (totally normal how you're feeling btw). I’ve been doing yoga, walking and avoiding social media as much as possible.

Gosh @giraffelover you’ve been through so much, but what lovely news to get through it all - will keep everything crossed for you.

@KK251289 Fingers crossed for you also!

FluffyKittensinabasket · 20/06/2020 23:06

Hello can I join you?

I got my period today - it’s now been 6 months FFS!

KK251289 · 20/06/2020 23:25

Thanks everyone, probably just another cruel AF game, all I know is I'm absolutely exhausted Confused

Nat4392 · 20/06/2020 23:40

@Giraffelover90 wow that’s intense! Hope you have a speedy recovery and that your little bean sticks 🤞🏻

@MummyOfZog that’s reassuring about your LP, mine is 11 days and it’s always concerned me that it might be a problem.

Welcome @FluffyKittensinabasket 😊

Aokbaby · 20/06/2020 23:56

@MummyOfZog I think mine may be short also but I'm using the one step opks and they don't seem to be great at detecting surge, that's great that you've already conceived, hopefully it'll not take too long this time round.

@Tink2019 I'll order some tomorrow. Thanks!

MummyOfZog · 21/06/2020 07:46

@Aokbaby I sometimes use One Step OPKs just to double check in the afternoon as I use CB digital (monitor one) in the morning. I prefer the certainty of CB ones even though I get flashy smiles for 12 days 😂

Tested this morning- BFN. Waiting for AF now which feels like it's on its way today! Meh.

Twinkletoes85 · 21/06/2020 08:26

Still bloody flashing 😫 this is going to sound really melodramatic but it's made me even more annoyed that we missed the chance last month with OH feeling ill.

I'd taken time off last month to be relaxed and just felt positive and fertile and then he was ill and we totally missed this static.

Now this month the woman at work who always stresses me out has been an arsehole as per this week so I've been stressed to the back teeth and I'm just getting flashy after flashy. It's CD 14 now and I've just given up all hope for this month so I'm miserable already.

We've got the dads round for a bbq if the weather stays ok but I just want to sit and mope for the day on my own. I've got a right pity party going on

Tink2019 · 21/06/2020 08:39

@Twinkletoes85 I feel your pain - I've had a super stressful week at work and I'm now on CD21 with no sign of O approaching (although have had cramps for days as usual, which I'm now guessing could be because of endometriosis). Last month I had a a relatively short cycle for me, temps were promising, had a strong OPK test and still nada. It's just so disheartening it's difficult to stay positive ☹️ x

Twinkletoes85 · 21/06/2020 08:47

@Tink2019 it really can be so hard. OH on not so many words told me to just relax last night. I could have murdered him.

It's the wondering where you OV is that's the hardest part and why it's not arrived yet

OP posts:
Tilly1403 · 21/06/2020 09:07

@Twinkletoes85 @Tink2019 I hear ya! I'm having the whole 'have I ovulated? am I yet to ovulate? Maybe I don't ovulate!' thoughts this last few days. I've been temping but the time I wake up varies depending on if I'm working from home or going into the office so there's no real pattern there. Are either of you guys temping?
I understand how frustrated you feel around missing an opportunity last month, I think sharing that frustration can help you not hold a resentment, so definitely use the rest of us TTC ladies for support.
I think we might have missed my FW this month due to DH being ridiculously tired this week after going back to work. Got my static smiley and he was asleep before I even got into bed. I tried my best but he was having none of it. I wanted to shout and him but that would very rarely get him in the mood! So this morning I'm feeling grumpy and resentful and just need to offload. I understand that if you're sick or exhausted there isn't much anyone can do, but also it's literally like a couple of days a month where there's a chance to conceive and the organised control freak part of me had it all planned out, just for the part I can't control to let things down Sad

DSC1 · 21/06/2020 09:18

@Twinkletoes85 keep testing, I’m sure you are going to get your static v soon especially if CD14 and you have a regular cycle. Remember you won’t always O the same day of the month each cycle.

@Tilly1403 I hated feeling like that and so that’s why I tell my DH when my FW is as I hate the pressure of feeling I have to initiate/is he going to fall asleep etc. I totally get why a lot of women don’t say but I just found it helped me a lot. I tell him when the window is beginning to open (flashing smiley) that’s when we DTD every other day and then as soon as I get static I tell him window is fully open.
