@gypsywater sorry to hear about af,hugs!!

@Tilly1403 what are we like!! I don't even tell my DH anymore he already thinks I am definitely insane, lol!! I can't even watch those adverts about the donkeys, god almighty it just sets me off. I've never really been a crier but since coming off pill, I will cry at anything! Just shows how much those hormones control you. I often wonder would I be the same person had I never taken the pill and sadly my answer is always probably not, makes you think!

Hoping41 · 22/06/2020 22:24

@aokbaby is it from coming off the pill? My God, I never really thought about that. I never used to cry and now I'm always crying. That explains it!

notyetamumbuttrying · 22/06/2020 22:37

Yep same as me re the crying! @Hoping41 and @Aokbaby 😭 😂

KK251289 · 22/06/2020 23:41

@gypsywater sorry AF has arrived, take the next few days to look after yourself.

@Aokbaby I'm good thank you, saw family (social distances of course) then painted my kitchen. I'm CD24 some cramps but not so bad. How are you?

Aokbaby · 23/06/2020 07:28

@KK251289 I'm cd22 (not sure when I ovulated this month, bbt has been rather high for past few days but then I keep waking in the night so not sure if even accurate) so not far behind you, that's good, fingers crossed for us both!!

@Hoping41 @notyetamumbuttrying yea just since coming off, it's either suppressed all my emotions or the influx of hormones is only beginning to level out, we'll never know 🙈🤣

Douya · 23/06/2020 08:56

@gypsywater Sorry about AF, hope you start feeling better soon.
@Aokbaby I'm cycle day 22 too. My cycles tend to be long though.
I got a blank circle yesterday. DH was a bit annoying (unrelated) and I ended up in tears too. I feel better today and I thankfully had stopped crying by getting into work yesterday.

Seafrontsky · 23/06/2020 09:27

Wowsers maybe there was something in the water if we are all blubbing! Or full moon? Not sure. I had a sob too over new friends beautiful baby, and whether or not to have this laparoscopy. OH has said he doesn't want me to have it as its putting me at risk during a pandemic (he's also asthmatic and our LG is epileptic so valid concerns). Really I think it's a case of we are very lucky to have 2 DD and we are very happy. A 3rd would be icing on the cake but we have always said we'd stop short at medical intervention. He sees this as medical intervention at a risky time. I do see where he's coming from but I'm more invested I think! I want a baby and see this as exploratory but also dont want unnecessary operation. Weve agreed to postpone 3 months and ask for a HSG to check tubes.

Sorry to hear about AF @gypsywater. I hope you're ok.

MummyOfZog · 23/06/2020 09:32

How is everyone doing?

I got myself a bit excited yesterday - I saw 2 very faint lines on first response, and one v v faint line on an internet One Step strip. Also suddenly had big painful boobs and felt nauseus. Woke this morning to a temp drop, absolutely no symptoms and BFNs on a range of tests using FMU. If I was truly pregnant the lines should get darker each day not fainter/go away entirely! I don't know much about chemical pregnancies but wondering if that's what this is? I'm due on today and feel like I will come on soon. Meh!

Anywho...Amazon has arrived with my pack of CB ovulation sticks, EPO tablets, TTC vitamins for OH and preseed for the next cycle. Spoke to DH and we've agreed to really try and give it our all next cycle and throw everything at it! Anyone else have tips I could try and use?

Swifty2 · 23/06/2020 09:57

@Aokbaby I 100% think that I'd be a different person if I hadn't been on the pill for so long! I think I would have been much happier for al those years! I had horrendous rage when I was on the pill and huge mood swings, I was seriously not a nice person!

@MummyOfZog we're giving it out all this cycle! I'm on CD8, I've been taking EPO and Angus Castus since CD1 as I had a really late ov last cycle so I thought it would be better to try and bring it forward a bit. I'm also doing regular yoga (3x per week), castor oil packs (3x per week) and fertility massage to try and get the blood flowing properly to the right places! We're dtd every other day. I do feel a bit different this cycle! I feel super positive which is very unusual for me so I have everything crossed for this cycle!

KK251289 · 23/06/2020 10:47

@Aokbaby sounds good, fingers crossed for you.

@MummyOfZog on our 2nd month of trying I took the first response and I saw a very very faint line but the next day AF showed up, could be a problem with them? Hope you're doing ok, that must have been a whirlwind of emotion, I was when that happened to me.

Its CD 25 and I caved and did a clearblue test, got a BFN. In a way I'm not massively surprised because my OH was very ill a few days before my static smiley so DTD wasnt as often as previous months. On the other hand the spotting on Saturday gave me false hope. Hopefully AF might show a bit earlier and I can just carry on. Hope everyones doing ok x

Fifol · 23/06/2020 10:59

@MummyOfZog could have been a chemical. I'm so sorry regardless as I'm sure that was devastating

@kk251289 I'm so sorry to hear about the bfn for you too it's so disappointing

I still haven't ovulated according to my opk which is a little later now than I would have thought but I've had ewcm for about 7 days, I'm taking that as a good sign and just carrying on dtd!

KK251289 · 23/06/2020 11:07

Thanks @fifol atleast I know and I can start prepping for the next cycle. Just ordering something called vital DHA? Read a few bits online a out it helping people conceive so worth a go. It's coming tomorrow so at least I can make an early start.

Dizzttc · 23/06/2020 11:14

Hi hope you dont mind me joining you all.

Im on day 2 of cycle 7 ttc. Im debating whether or not i want to use OPKs this cycle as i kind of dont want the stress of testing every day. However the thought of not knowing my actual ovulation day and fertile window gives me anxiety lol

Also can anyone recommend any multivitamins other than pregnacare please. Thanks

Swifty2 · 23/06/2020 11:43

Welcome @Dizzttc I take pregnacare but I've seen a few ladies on here talking about the seven seas ones!

Completely get what you mean about opks, I'm a total control freak and don't think I could give up knowing when I am ovulating! I also have PCOS so I like the certainty of knowing that I have definitely ovulated 😂

This group is super supportive! Smile

Fifol · 23/06/2020 11:44

Hi @Dizzttc I also think not using opks would make me more stressed than using them! Unless you're committed to dtd every second day of the whole cycle which I just don't think would work well for us!

I started pregnacare conception this month and had been taking the original. Been getting a lot of headaches and ovulation seems to be late dont know it its anything to do with it. I've also started taking vitamin d but that's kinda for general health rather than ttc and I also take omegas but have been taking for ages as find them great for hydration in the skin!

KK251289 · 23/06/2020 12:20

And just like that, AF appears Grin cant make this up can you!!

Welcome @Dizzttc, I'm CD1 so we'll be about thr same point in our journeys this month

Tink2019 · 23/06/2020 13:00

Sending lots of virtual ❤️ to the ladies who have just had AF arrive or BFNs. I've not taken a test the entire time we've been trying (since Oct) as just don't think I could handle it. Hope you all get some you time this week x

@Dizzttc I just take the Boots pregnancy vits - folic and Vit D (in the same tablet). Took the pregnacare ones for a bit but they made me feel a bit off. And also made my wee bright green!!

@Douya I'm on CD 23, but also have long cycles - haven't ovulated yet but had a temp dip today and have had EWCM last two days so fingers crossed 🤞🏻

notyetamumbuttrying · 23/06/2020 13:23

I take vital dha @KK251289 for just over a month now. Sorry to hear AF turned up hun, joe you're ok!
@Dizzttc use the Flo app, it's pretty accurate if you input the correct data! For multivitamins you can try seven seas for pregnancy. Or you can take separate ones for folic acid, omega3, zinc, vitb12/D etc.

Dizzttc · 23/06/2020 13:34

Thanks for all of the replies.

@Swifty2 @Fifol
well i am still debating. I think i may just leave opk testing until app tells me its my window but will otherwise attempt dtd every other day or every 2days.

Cycle 6 was my first full cycle using pregnacare. Bright green wee, acne, felt dehydrated (i drink about 2l of water a day), ovulation was late and af was 3 days late. So wanting to try something different.

@Tink2019
Ill defo look at boots own and seven seas... thanks for the recommendations.

@KK251289 hi... thats fab will be nice to have someone on same cycle

Dizzttc · 23/06/2020 13:36

@notyetamumbuttrying

Hi i do currently use 3 apps lol

I use flo, ovia and premom and to be honest they are pretty much accurate. Im gona take a look at seven seas. Thanks

Aokbaby · 23/06/2020 13:43

Aww no @KK251289 sorry to hear!!

MummyOfZog · 23/06/2020 14:17

....And AF has just arrived, so that's me officially out for this cycle! Onto Cycle 9! @KK251289 I see you're AF arrived today too (sorry :-( doesn't this TTC stuff just really f*cking suck sometimes?), so looks like we're cycle buddies for the next month!

@Dizzttc @Fifol @Tink2019 - I've started taking the Seven Seas TTC vitamins - I find I can stomach them much better than Pregnacare ones which made me feel sick most days! I had swapped to just taking folic acid and a normal multivit for a while which is essentially the same but somehow easier on the stomach!

So, as I'm onto a new cycle I've decided to be positive and list the extra stuff I'm planning for this cycle:

  • EPO from today until Ovulation (help with EWCM)
  • Soy Isoflavones (lowish dose from CD2-6) - hopefully bring Ov forward a bit, help with oestrogen levels in follicular phase
  • Will use preseed during fertile week (although DH hates it!)
  • Continue to use Ava to track bbt and resting heart rate (Ava was GREAT this cycle and I could see my fertile week ramping up as my RHR rose steeply about 5 days before I got my +OPK which is great for giving me a bit of notice!)
  • Continue to use Clearblue monitor OPKs
  • Usually don't tell DH when I'm in fertile week (bit of a turn-off!) but decided I will tell him this cycle so we both have the 'pressure' to DTD and it's not solely left to me to initiate
KK251289 · 23/06/2020 14:22

@notyetamumbuttrying I'd read it online alongside coq10 that it can help. I'm good thanks, feel like because its early I can get on with things ready for next month now.

@aokbaby it's ok, onwards and upwards now, didnt think this month would be my month anyway.

It's my OH 31st at the end of next month and the month we had originally planned to start trying so maybe it's just meant to be.

KK251289 · 23/06/2020 14:29

@MummyOfZog I'm so sorry AF arrived, sending big hugs. It's great you've got a plan for next month going forward already. Itll be our turn soon I'm sure.

notyetamumbuttrying · 23/06/2020 15:43

@KK251289 yeah I take it alongside coQ10 I stopped pregnacare and started these two instead. Then added folic acid on its own and take EPO from Cd1 until ov as well as agnus castus but won't take agnus again. My cycle is regular just early ov but I noticed my period was longer this time round so think I'll leave that for now.
Sounds like it was meant to be! Perhaps it'll happen next month then 🤞🏾

@Dizzttc ha you're like me. I also use clue but often don't update it so may as well delete it! Cool, no worries. Did u not get on well with pregnacare then?

Aww that's annoying @MummyOfZog! You're not far behind me. I'm cycle 10 now.
Good laid out plans, hope all goes well!
