Thanks for getting back to me ladies, it's not as red today so maybe just hormonal changes that maybe I haven't noticed before? Just met a friend who's pregnant, wasn't trying and said she just wasn't careful, almost as of it's a nuisance being pregnant. I'm like what I wouldn't give to be her. It's so frustrating, you just want to scream. EVERYONE I meet is pregnant or has a baby. It's getting to me so much.

Probably a silly question but does ovulation correlate with period ie if period is early will ovulation happen 14days after day one of period even if it's early, or will it happen when it's originally supposed to? I'm supposed to be ovulating soon and caved and done ovulation test this morning and it was blank circle, this day last cycle it was flashing smiley, so confused?!

notyetamumbuttrying · 06/08/2020 13:19

Yeah it correlates @Aokbaby so if you know when you ov and your LP length then you know when your period will start. So I'm an early ov'er at cd10 and my LP is 14 days so I always know when I'll come on.
And everyone around me is pregnant too including my sister who gives birth next week! It's her second and she was on the pill and has pcos!!

Aokbaby · 06/08/2020 17:56

@notyetamumbuttrying thanks for getting back to me x
It's just so unfair isn't it, like these people just have to look at a man to get pregnant🙈

notyetamumbuttrying · 06/08/2020 21:07

Yep! @Aokbaby at least we'll be so grateful when it finally happens! Hope it does anyway!

Aokbaby · 06/08/2020 22:31

Absolutely @notyetamumbuttrying 🤗 x

Tink2019 · 07/08/2020 07:45

Cling on to that hope ladies - you've got this 💪🏻 After my meltdown last month this has happened!!! There were a lot of tears and now I'm petrified...praying it's sticky x PS. 100% putting this down to the soy isoflavones!

@Tink2019

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!
Finally a BFP on the thread and a digital rather than a is it/isn't line!

Amazing I am so genuinely happy for you (the benefit of not knowing each other is I do feel happy for you rather than the other feeling of when people you know get pregnant!)

I have everything crossed for you over the next few weeks, but as you already have a digital confirmation you have enough HCG! What cycle day are you?

There's no reason why this shouldn't stick for you like it does for so many others. Try to relish in it. X

lamby12 · 07/08/2020 08:41

Ps @Tink2019 ... obviously you now need to give us all more details about the soy so we can all rush out... Grin

Crayon7 · 07/08/2020 10:10

@Tink2019 congratulations!

notyetamumbuttrying · 07/08/2020 10:39

Congrats 🥳 @Tink2019 how many months was that for you in the end?

Tink2019 · 07/08/2020 10:53

Thank you ladies, I do hope you all get yours soon too x

@notyetamumbuttrying 11 this month!

@lamby12 I'm CD 12 - tested yesterday on an IC and was a pretty strong line (I never test but just had a weird feeling, some random symptoms I don't normally get in TWW and high bbt), but the husband wouldn't believe it so did the digital this morning - think he cried more than me! I posted about the SI in another group as just amazed...here's the info:
I took soy isoflavones (just the Tesco ones) for the first time this month - I took 120mg CD 5, 6 and 7 (had blood work so couldn't start before this) then 120mg CD 8 - all taken before bed. I didn't take any CD 9 as I had a migraine. I ovulated CD 18 which was a bit earlier for me (I'm normally quite irregular, cycle before I didn't ovulate until CD 25) and then took 50mg B6 from the day I O'd. I'd been prescribed Clomid - decided to try SI first though...very glad I did!!

This cycle I did lots of new stuff though - I took the soy isoflavones, B6, Coq10, drank grapefruit juice before O and ate Brazil nuts after O, so technically could’ve been any of those that helped, but I’m sure it was mostly the soy because my temps were much more stable before O, shot up after O (never normally happens for me, I’m a slow rise gal on the cycles I do ovulate) and had a huge mid TWW dip which I think was the second estrogen surge (I've attached my chart) xx

@Tink2019 did you take it everyday? May order some from amazon I must admit haven't researched as of what this should help with yet

AmesK · 07/08/2020 11:42

Massive massive massive congratulations @Tink2019!!! So so so happy for you!! Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy xxx

Tink2019 · 07/08/2020 12:31

Do you mean the soy isoflavones @crayon7? If so, you only take them for 5 days at the beginning of your cycle - most people will take them 3-7, I did 5-9 as had blood tests before that - people take various doses I took 80mg for 3 days then planned to take 120mg for two days but had a migraine on the final day. They do them in Tesco, you just have to ignore the fact the say 'menopause' across them 🤦🏼‍♀️

Twinkletoes85 · 07/08/2020 12:32

@Tink2019 huge congratulations! That's fabulous news xxx

@Tink2019 I'm 11 months so hoping it happens for me this month too! Thanks for all the tips below. I need to do some research over the weekend!

Tink2019 · 07/08/2020 14:43

🤞🏻@notyetamumbuttrying Mumsnet has been my lifesaver for finding out stuff, was very very clueless 6 months ago!

Aokbaby · 07/08/2020 15:56

Ahhhh @Tink2019 beyond happy for you!! Huge congratulations 🤗🤗 xx

lamby12 · 07/08/2020 16:23

@Tink2019 thanks for the info on the soy. I will look into this for next cycle. I also need to chase my blood test scan but to be honest I've suddenly gone all relaxed!!?

It's this 'not trying' approach working too well in me switching off from TTC. I feel a lot better though. However, now I'm in TWW (I think, cd16) starting to wish I knew when I ov'd this month... I had EWCM from CD9-15 so no idea! now comes to phase where I regret not testing!

@Tink2019 you said you had some symptoms, what symptoms did you have that made you test?

X

Tink2019 · 07/08/2020 16:54

Ooo that's exciting @lamby12 - maybe good not knowing as you could just ride it out until AF just doesn't show... 🙏🏻 Hats off to you for being relaxed, I felt a bit more relaxed this cycle as knew my husband would flip if I was a psycho-bitch again this cycle!! Aside from the normal TWW symptoms I get (headaches, bloating and breast pain), I was also extremely constipated, had very vivid dreams, kept belching (very unlike me!) and have had creamy cm since around 6dpo. Also had a very random symptom which might not be a symptom at all but has happened every day for about a week...sneezing fit! 🤷🏼‍♀️ x

Crayon7 · 07/08/2020 17:42

@Tink2019 thanks I am too late for it then, will see next cycle.
I have looked at Tesco online and couldn't see it 🙄😐

Dbop100 · 08/08/2020 13:12

Ahh congratulations @Tink2019 🥳🥳🥳 so nice to see a BFP on this thread!

Sorry if this is a dumb question but are the soy isoflavones meant to bring Ov forward if you're normally a later ovulator? I'm an earlier ovulator (just ovulated CD10 yesterday) so don't want to bring mine any further forward! X

Tink2019 · 08/08/2020 14:01

Thank you @Dbop100 😊 Where are you in your cycle now?

It depends on the day you start taking them - I've popped the info I found below:
You take Soy Isoflavones, like Clomid, on either CD 1-5 , 2-6, 3-7 , 4-8 or 5-9. If you take Soy Isoflavones during the later time bracket, for example CD5-9, you shall strengthen the egg that has already started growing producing a healthier egg. The earlier in your cycle you take it, the higher your chance of releasing multiple eggs but these eggs will not be as mature as the eggs grown from taking Soy later. A lot of women will choose the middle cycle (3 -7) allowing time for a strong and healthy egg to develop without erasing the chance of a second egg being developed and released.
1-5 = you produce more eggs, and ovulate sooner, with a stronger ovulation.
2-6 = you produce more eggs than usual, but not as many as taking it 1-5. Eggs may be more mature, and ovulation will be slightly more strong than 1-5.
3-7 = The best of both worlds, a few more eggs, and all eggs will be strong & mature, and ovulation will be alot stronger than 1-5.
4-8 = No more eggs will be produced, but the ones already there, will be matured alot more than usual, and ovulation will be very strong. Ovulation may only be brought forward a teeny bit.
5-9 = You'll have one very mature strong egg, from the ones you already produced on your own. Ovulation will either happen when it usually does, or a few days later, but your egg will be of great quality.

I took them 5-8 (migraine day 9) and my O was earlier than previous cycle but my cycles are very irregular so not sure if it was the soy or that was just when I would've O'd that cycle if that makes sense x

Dbop100 · 08/08/2020 14:34

@Tink2019 today I'm CD11 and 1DPO, can't believe I'm already in the Tww it feels like I only just got a break from feeling anxious.

That's all very interesting, I feel like I might go for the 5-9 to get a strong egg. Will defo think about it for my next cycle x

Chalkie67 · 08/08/2020 14:37

@Tink2019 that's just the best news!! Congratulations and enjoy every second of this!
