Lol @notyetamumbuttrying I know that feeling, crazy woman here 💁 I stopped temping this cycle as I was trying to cut back and be ahem.....less obsessive🙈I also found that I was waking earlier than my usual 7am so the results weren't very accurate as you're supposed to take your temp at the same time each morning with about half an hour give each way. It definitely helped me track ovulation as my IC were useless so it's good in that sense!!

notyetamumbuttrying · 29/07/2020 22:06

@Aokbaby lol I think we're all crazy during ttc, it's bloody horrible tbh! Yeah I'm worried about that too and just generally forgetting. I use the CB digital tests and they're pretty accurate as I get ov pain the next day. I'm just trying to think of what else I can do as I'm slowly going mad now 😫I'll give it a go anyway and see, at least it can't hurt!

Crayon7 · 30/07/2020 09:21

10dpo BFN

Waiting for AF.

lamby12 · 30/07/2020 10:12

@notyetamumbuttrying temping is the only thing I haven't tried yet either. I'm not sure I could remember, I struggle to remember to do the Ov tests first thing and to take the multivitamin so another thing might be too much! Also yes, could make things more obsessive in the TWW when desperately trying to switch off!

I'm going to leave it for now but it might not be long before I start too.

I'm CD 8 could Ov any day with my early/short cycles, haven't done ov tests yet as I just don't feel in the mood this month. I'm not sure why, I just can't muster things up to start tracking, etc. Maybe I need a month off?!

Me and OH had a massive argument last month when he 'couldn't be bothered' to DTD on my Ov days. When I explained calmly to him how it feels putting all the tracking etc effort in, thinking about it every day... etc, etc we all know how draining it is... for him not to be arsed, he did understand and said he actually felt terrible and had never thought of it that way... which isn't like him to admit. I don't think he realised quite how much TTC consumes us ladies!

Anyway, I just can't get geared up this month.

Everyone around me seems to be pregnant and due in Dec/Jan, so I feel 'out of the club' and like I need to just focus on myself rather than other people's pregnancies.

Anyone else not feeling it this month?
X

lamby12 · 30/07/2020 10:13

@Crayon7 sorry about the BFN, but 10dpo is early you could still be in! X

notyetamumbuttrying · 30/07/2020 10:45

@lamby12 I know exactly what you mean! I ov early too as have short cycles. Usually cd10 on a 24 day cycle. I'm only cd5 today so we'll prob start on the weekend. It's fun then as we have no work pressures. But once the working week starts, neither of us can be arsed lol!

lamby12 · 30/07/2020 11:11

@notyetamumbuttrying oh actually just realised I'm day 9... shows how off it I am this month!
That's good that you time for the weekend 👍🏼
I think we will have a month of tracking I haven't got the ooompf this month, I'm starting to change my mindset to this being a long journey rather than desperation each month that it 'has' to happen ASAP!
X

Florence13 · 30/07/2020 15:03

@lamby12 I think that is a good mind set to have after having my crazy long period I feel like I am being much more relaxed about everything this cycle. I even feel grateful that I’m even able to be TTC after a five week long period x

notyetamumbuttrying · 30/07/2020 18:42

Good change of mindset @lamby12 I already feel more chill now that I've got first set of bloods booked and DH is sorting his SA. August should be a good month! And it's our first wedding anniversary on the 24th 🥰

@Florence13 don't know how you coped with that?! Did you have period pain throughout too? I take it you were at least light with the flow? Best of luck for this new cycle!

Florence13 · 30/07/2020 21:05

@notyetamumbuttrying it was horrendous I didn’t have to much pain but was full flow throughout so ended up on iron tablets as was nearly fainting on my long shifts at work. Aww how exciting I’ve just had my first wedding anniversary!! It would be incredible for you to get a BFP for that x

notyetamumbuttrying · 30/07/2020 21:16

Christ I bet! Sounds awful @Florence13! So glad it's over now and you can get bk to normality and dtd!
Yeah it'd be so lovely! But as always I won't hold out much hope as all it does is make me even more sad when it doesn't happen! I just wanna enjoy our time off together and hopefully go somewhere! Had Barcelona booked but that got cancelled today 😫 hoping we can get off to a Greek island but we'll see.

notyetamumbuttrying · 30/07/2020 21:17

Posted too soon! How did you celebrate yours @Florence13?

Dbop100 · 30/07/2020 21:24

Ladies, I'm thinking of a whole new strategy for this next cycle. Going to sack off the temping / pomegranate juice / pineapple etc. Just going to do the ovulation sticks AND a new one day on one day off doing sex schedule.

The theory is...my husbands SA came back as 'satisfactory' but the NHS don't test it for DNA fragmentation, so if that IS a problem they say you should leave a day between sex to allow the little guys to replenish to full power. Who knows if it'll help but worth a go eh? 🙃

Anyway just sharing. Anyone else got a brand new master plan for August?

notyetamumbuttrying · 30/07/2020 21:37

@Dbop100 sounds like a good plan! I was thinking of every other day as well. We did it like that before but most recently have been doing 3 or 4 days in a row. Might go bk to every other and then we might actually hit the day after ov as well. We don't usually hit that day as neither of us can be arsed after so many days in a row 😂 11 months of ttc will do that to a couple, well us anyway 😆

Florence13 · 30/07/2020 21:48

@notyetamumbuttrying it was awful glad to feel like I’m back in the game but like you say hate getting my hopes up to high so just going to try and be more relaxed. Mainly I feel more thankful that I’m trying this cycle and can actually dtd! Due to lockdown unfortunately we didn’t really get to celebrate but hoping to get away later in the year. Keeping my fingers crossed you manage to get away to celebrate sorry about your cancelled trip x

Aokbaby · 30/07/2020 22:11

Hi @lamby12 I know exactly what you mean, couldn't be bothered this next cycle, kind of fed up now. So I started af there properly on Saturday and it's STILL here ahhh!! Kind of stopped yesterday bit today it's heavy with lots of clots. I'm really concerned as I've only ever had it this long when first coming off pill and never seem to have clotting, could it be a chemical? Any of you ladies have any thoughts? Thanks x

notyetamumbuttrying · 30/07/2020 22:14

@Florence13 yeah being relaxed is the way to go, hard tho lol! Hope you get to celebrate with a trip away then! Aw thank you ☺️

@Aokbaby sorry to hear. I've not had a chemical before but I have heard others describe it like clotting. Did you do any early testing?

Aokbaby · 30/07/2020 22:26

@notyetamumbuttrying no I didn't as I got my usual spotting from last Thursday, I thought af had just come early🙈af wasn't actually due to Tuesday of this week. Not sure what's going on. I never really get clotting and if I don't usually just the once at start of af, not day 7. I've had quite bad cramping today too and pain in right ovary/groin area

Dbop100 · 30/07/2020 22:26

@notyetamumbuttrying yeah we've been making ourselves do it every day, sometimes twice a day, for fear of missing the window - so this new approach is going to take some will power! Luckily my husband is a pretty good sport about it and usually does it when I tell him we have to 🤣 (lol so sexy) but a couple of days after ovulation we've stopped doing it for the rest of the month. Awful I know, but I'm knackered after a year.

We had our 1 year anniversary in May in full on lockdown. We did a home date night, bought all our favourite foods, had a lovely meal with a bottle of bubbly, gave each other presents. Just treated ourselves because we couldn't go anywhere (and we were saving money being home). It was much needed for our mental health to have a bit of a celebration.

@Aokbaby sorry to hear it's been a long horrible AF. Did you test at all? If I were a chemical I'd have thought you'd have gotten a positive. If you got any BFNs maybe it wasn't. All my periods are heavy, clotty and painful. hope it's over soon for you. XX

Aokbaby · 30/07/2020 22:35

Thanks @Dbop100 yea maybe just a longer more painful period, i started reflexology there and have had 2 sessions and she did a fertility massage on me, since ovulation this cycle I've been feeling a rush of heat in my right foot where your uterus area is indicated so maybe it's started some process of 'clearing out' so to speak, who knows? Back to reflexology next week so I'll ask her if this is a side effect 🤞

notyetamumbuttrying · 30/07/2020 22:44

So sorry to hear @AokbabyThanks

@Dbop100 wow obedient husband! Mine needs coercing majority of the FW 😂 yeah we only do it once in tww if that ok lol!
Aww glad you celebrated in such a nice way! 🥰

Aokbaby · 30/07/2020 22:46

Thanks ladies 💕 x

Florence13 · 31/07/2020 09:31

@Aokbaby hope your period goes soon completely get how you feel but sorry not sure about chemical or not. Maybe like you say your uterus is having a good clear out.

@Dbop100 aww that sounds like a lovely anniversary despite lockdown

Aokbaby · 31/07/2020 19:16

@Florence13 yea I had a transvaginal ultrasound done last week and it may have been them rummaging around that caused the extra bleeding? They said everything was fine with ovaries, tubes and uterus in general, phew so hopefully just that 🤞

Tiletiletile1 · 31/07/2020 19:54

Hi all! Can I join? Been TTC for maybe 19 months now with number 3. I got pregnant instantly with my other DC but not this time.

I had a c-section with my youngest (and not my oldest). I’ve read that sometimes a c-section can cause infertility and am now concerned?!

Anyone else got secondary infertility after a c-section?

My GP is nice but disinterested because of my age. Wondering about going private to see what’s happening.

Anyone done that after a c-section?
