@Tink2019 hey! Yeah I think I started drinking a couple of glasses a day after my period stopped. Luckily I love grapefruit. I also started drinking pomegranate juice yesterday to try and thicken my lining but less keen on the taste of that. I also have a pineapple I'm going to crack into today 🤣 I bought all the fruits! I also started taking Cq10 and bromaline 🍍 supplements this month. And we're both eating lots of Brazil nuts! Yep I went all this month!

Got my static smiley face this morning CD12 so look like it's an early ovulation - very curious to see if I ovulate on my right side this month. I have a theory it's always early on the right side. It was the one time it worked.

This is cycle 12 and we'll at 1 year TTC number 1 in August. I did get pregnant on cycle 10 but lost it at 5 weeks. So I should feel grateful something has happened but overall it's been an emotionally exhausting year x

Tink2019 · 14/07/2020 08:34

@Dbop100 Amazing, think I'll start today with the grapefruit juice. That all sounds fab and super healthy and great you have your static smiley - have everything crossed for. So sorry to hear you about your loss, I can't begin to imagine what you went through x

I'm really hoping the Soy Insoflavones bring forward my O - it was cycle day 25 last cycle - but think I may have started them a little too late. We'll see 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

KK251289 · 14/07/2020 09:27

@Tink2019 yes that's exactly it! I've seen so much pregnancy around me especially on social media and everyone makes it look so easy when in reality it's very difficult. It would be so nice if we could all just get BFP now.

@Dbop100 sounds like you're so prepared this month, well done you. I'll be following your list when AF arrives. I'm sorry for your loss that must have been tough, really hoping to see a BFP from you this month.

CeeCee1918 · 14/07/2020 10:02

@notyetamumbuttrying yes you may be right about different requirements as I already have one. Worth a try though. Thanks for your reply!

@Tink2019 thank you for responding! Will get in touch with my GP and see what they say.

@KK251289 thank you for your sweet response. I’m very lucky to already have a dd but it doesn’t make the journey for another any less hard!

I wish you all the very best in your journeys. X

KK251289 · 14/07/2020 10:14

@CeeCee1918 you're welcome. I dont think it matters which number baby you're TTC, the same want is still there even if you have children already. Fingers crossed for a sibling for your DD soon x x

lamby12 · 14/07/2020 10:33

@CeeCee1918 welcome to the thread. Many on here who know how you feel, I'm 11 months into TTC number 2, have had 2 chemicals (maybe 3, I'm not 100%..) and it feels like time is ticking by on the sibling age gap.
I'm trying to feel more relaxed and thinking well if it takes LOADS longer than I thought #1 might be closer to school age and give me more time with #2 at a young age.. but really I just want to it to happen ASAP!

@Tink2019 thanks for posting the costs, I had NO idea it was this expensive!! wow.
A friend of mine told me that if you already have a child you can't get much on the NHS and certainly not IVF, does anyone know is that's true??

@Dbop100 what is the grape juice for?? Sorry if I've missed it, trying to keep up! Grin

X

Dbop100 · 14/07/2020 11:10

@lamby12 apparently grapefruit juice is good for helping you produce more EWCM. Pomegranate is for thickening you lining - I mean take it all with a pinch of salt of course but can't hurt to give it a go eh?

notyetamumbuttrying · 14/07/2020 11:15

Thanks for sharing @Tink2019!
Same as me @KK251289 we started in September so our year is looming now too!
@CeeCee1918 best of luck to you! Must be even more frustrating for you as you know you can conceive and carry. Hope it all works out for you!
@Twinkletoes85 hope your OH chats with his mate and gets some first hand perspective!

KK251289 · 14/07/2020 11:23

@notyetamumbuttrying it's such a weird feeling being nearly 12 months in! I never imagined it would get this far, I've still got AF this month and then try in august before a GP appointment can be made which seems like an eternity away so I just want it to hurry up, if that makes sense.

notyetamumbuttrying · 14/07/2020 12:55

@KK251289 same, I'm dreading September as I think I might cry, it'll feel very pivotal! I'm on again end of July so will be calling 1st August!! End of July will be cycle 12 for me as I have short cycles. Let's hope we both get those bfp's in a few weeks time!!

KK251289 · 14/07/2020 13:18

@notyetamumbuttrying I'm really hoping you get a BFP this cycle, itll be under a year for you then and no GP appointments. It's such a weird situation to be in all of this.

notyetamumbuttrying · 14/07/2020 13:31

@KK251289 very weird!! Will be in the dreaded tww from tomorrow 😫 getting bored of it all now!

KK251289 · 14/07/2020 14:56

@notyetamumbuttrying good luck, I know this is the worst part. Just make sure you look after yourself, do some things you enjoy xx

notyetamumbuttrying · 14/07/2020 15:38

@KK251289 I have my sisters baby shower next weekend so I'll have that to look forward too 😫😂

KK251289 · 14/07/2020 15:53

@notyetamumbuttrying oh bless you, keep your chin up, itll be your baby shower before you know it xxx

lamby12 · 14/07/2020 16:41

Thanks @Dbop100 might give the grapefruit juice a go.

@notyetamumbuttrying @KK251289 @CeeCee1918
sounds like we're all getting close to a year.

I'm totally with you on the feeling of expecting to be pregnant by a certain time and now feeling like I can't actually believe it that I haven't had the baby yet?!!! Never mind still TTC.

OH says I need to find a way to not let it consume me month on month, he's right. I'm really trying to distract whenever I want to google a symptom or open flo to look at dates I'm trying to 'do' something. I do a lot of crafting so that is my go to and is proving a good distraction so far. I have still thought about things but haven't got too absorbed in googling etc. I am only 3 days into TWW!

@notyetamumbuttrying the baby shower is difficult, try your best and remember it WILL be yours soon.

X

notyetamumbuttrying · 14/07/2020 17:31

@KK251289 aww thanks hun, hope so! Hope you're doing well?! xx

@lamby12 a fellow nearly yearer 😆 fun over here isn't it, not 😂
Distraction techniques are great! I've finally stopped googling now, took me 9 months to stop doing it mind lol! I had some sort of breakthrough last month where I was like fuck it, I can't keep torturing myself every cycle.
Aww thanks, I really hope it will be! I hope you get one soon too!

KK251289 · 14/07/2020 22:11

@lamby12 yeah we're all nearly in the 'one year club' which none of us want to be in. It's really good you're keeping busy with the crafting, I'd give that a go if I wasnt so terrible at anything creative 😂😂

@notyetamumbuttrying I'm doing ok thanks, so crampy today but nothing new for me at this point

notyetamumbuttrying · 14/07/2020 22:24

@KK251289 haha same on not being creative, like at all 😂
You due on soon then? Or not, hopefully!!

KK251289 · 14/07/2020 22:45

@notyetamumbuttrying it was recommended that I didnt take art for GCSE that's how bad I was. Yeah I'm CD22, last month AF arrived after 28 days but im usually every 26 days, so I'm pretty sure shes well on her way. I was really hopeful this month as well.

CeeCee1918 · 14/07/2020 23:38

@KK251289 thank you!

@lamby12 thanks for the welcome! Sorry to hear about your chemicals. It’s hard to get a positive only to get a negative a few days later. It messed up my dates too so the following few months were all over the place and hard to track. I know what you mean about the plus of having the older one in school if it takes much longer - sometimes I think that would be the ideal, especially on the days that my toddler is in full on terrible two’s melt down mode!! I hope it happens for you soon.

CeeCee1918 · 14/07/2020 23:38

Anyone who is trying to conceive #2 had any experience of scaring from previous pregnancy hindering ability to get pregnant now? Prob. clutching at straws but I had an emergency c sec with dd due to placental abruption - luckily she was full term and all was ok in the end - but wondering if any scarring from that and the c-section is preventing implantation. It took 8 months to conceive dd but wasn’t using OPK’s then which I am now and am getting clear positives each month. I guess I’m 3 yrs older now so that doesn’t help either. Just curious if anyone else has had similar thoughts.

notyetamumbuttrying · 15/07/2020 08:56

@KK251289 aww sorry to hear! It's rubbish when you just know she's coming 😔 hopefully you get a lovely surprise tho, but i know what it's like getting your hopes up!
@CeeCee1918 I can't help you on your question but there's a few who are trying for no2 that can hopefully help Thanks

Seafrontsky · 15/07/2020 09:44

Morning everyone. Just catching up after a few days headspace from TTC. AF was due on Monday, BBT has stayed high for 16 days and then AF caught me by surprise this morning. I've been so much more positive than normal that I felt really confident this month and even OH said 'I had a feeling about this month'. But no. I was OK with it and ready to book in my HSG this month but after 6 calls to the hospital they've now said they aren't taking bookings unless its urgent due to covid and I cried on the phone! It feels urgent after 23 months trying. So I'm obviously not ok with it!
Going to take some time and catch up with you guys in a week or so.
Hope all OK sending 💚

notyetamumbuttrying · 15/07/2020 10:55

@Seafrontsky so sorry to hear this. Take all the time you need, we'll be here when you come back. We'll be on fb too if you do need any support. Thanks
