@Twinkletoes85 that's good you have somewhere to call, I hope it helped a bit. It really is so stressful this TTC lark. I hope you're ok. Just finished the impatient woman's guide to getting pregnant and I thought the bit about depression and managing your mental health through TTC with various coping mechanisms was good. It also highlights how difficult it is on us emotionally if that even needs a section. Take time to look after yourself, try to do something that makes you happy and get lots of sleep! I'm failing on this last one right now as we are binging game of thrones and cant get to bed before midnight (far far too late for me!)

Twinkletoes85 · 01/07/2020 07:52

@Tink2019 I think B6 is in the ttc supplements, from my quick google last the b vitamins are linked to this and lacking in one of them can cause you to have issues (which are rectified as soon as you have enough of it in your system.)

@Seafrontsky it did a bit, was a very typical tell me about your childhood type call which I thought was just a tv thing 😂 but it's nice to know there's a friendly ear there and that I'm not the first person to call about all this. Oh I've got that on my kindle which I keep meaning to read! Read the first chapter and it was really interesting.

Game of thrones is fab but you can never watch just one episode!

@jlmul9 did the test hurt? If I don’t get a BFP this month then that will be the next test I will go for. Good to know though you are more fertile afterwards.

@Twinkletoes85 it’s good to hear you were able to talk to someone, it’s so important. Hope you are doing better xx

lamby12 · 01/07/2020 17:24

@Aokbaby @beachbum85 the lockdown pressure has totally added extra pressure by making TTC an obsession! I'm glad restrictions that restrictions easing and life getting back to something more normal will keep my mind busy.

Thanks for the vitamin info everyone it's really useful. I've just started taking seven seas trying to conceive. Has anyone had much experience with these?

I took advantage of the low price OPKs on amazon, realised now it's arrived that it's the advanced digital, I've only ever used the digital. I'm sure it's not much difference but just wanted to ask others when do you usually start testing? Do you test once or twice a day? And if once, AM or PM?
I've read a lot of conflicting advice so just wondering what others do.

I'm not sure I'll put much focus on TTC this month as I'm still feeling too mentally wiped out from recent events, but I still want to track my ovulation to keep understanding my cycle.

@lamby12 if you go on the CB website and put in how long your cycle is, it will tell you when to start testing. For a 28 day cycle it’s day 7 I think. You test with FMU, the first days will just be a circle. Once it detects a surge in one of the hormones you will get a flashing smiley. This is when you can then test more than once a day. I only test twice a day around when I think O will be (the sticks are expensive!) and do my second test normally early evening. The first test of the day I always do with FMU. Once it detects the second hormone surge that’s when you will get the static smiley and you are about to O. Hope that makes sense!

jlmul9 · 01/07/2020 17:49

@DSC1 I'd say a 6 on a scale of 1-10. So uncomfortable and hurt pretty bad for maybe 15/20 seconds. No pain since, just a few tingey cramps. If you have any blockages then it can hurt worse I think. Hopefully you can get away without having to have it done but if not then don't worry. No need to panic like I did, I had myself all worked up and probably made it worse than it needed to be.

DSC1 · 01/07/2020 18:28

@jlmul9 thanks for the info and good luck this cycle.

Seafrontsky · 01/07/2020 19:35

Thanks for the info @jlmul9 that's good to know. I'm due to book on for the same next month.

@Twinkletoes85 glad the talking felt helpful for you. I absolutely think its such a stressful thing. The book is interesting, a bit weird American in places around diet and choosing gender but I found the information on when to DTD and age related pregnancies useful, plus what to do if things dont go right.

Yes starting GoT earlier tonight so I dont repeat my mistakes! Only 2 episodes left and its getting tense!

Tink2019 · 01/07/2020 20:34

Is anyone else in the TWW and driving themselves nuts googling every symptom?! Every cycle I promise I won't do it then end up searching 😩

Fraucherie · 01/07/2020 20:54

@Tink2019 that was me for the last two weeks. I had them ALL, and then I got AF. I was completely devastated and still am. I am going to promise myself this cycle that I am not going to google, it is not good for my anxiety. I think I am going to try red clover. My friend swears by it, is I'll give it a go. I was thinking about the B vits too. I got pregnant without even trying last time, so I don't even remember symptoms or anything. I think maybe that was to my benefit... No stress!

Tink2019 · 01/07/2020 21:17

@Fraucherie I'm so sorry AF arrived, TTC is utterly shit isn't it. I seem to be all over the place this cycle, maybe it's because my cycle has been all over the place - who knows. What does red clover do? I have written down so many different vits, just don't know where to start x

Fraucherie · 01/07/2020 21:20

@Tink2019 It is supposed to me amazing for all things woman! Helps with the cycle, ovulating, thickening up the lining, PMS and pain. My good friend, who I trust immeasurably recommended it to me. I seriously have no idea why I can't conceive when I had no issues at all prior. All the supplements can be super overwhelming can't it. You just don't know what direction to go!

notyetamumbuttrying · 01/07/2020 21:26

@Tink2019 first cycle where I haven't googled symptoms and I'm on cycle 10 now lol! I took that bloody long to stop 😂

Ooh red clover is a new one for @Fraucherie. Will look it up! Love a vitamin, tend to add something new every cycle so after 10 months I'm rattling now 😆

Tink2019 · 01/07/2020 21:48

@notyetamumbuttrying Same cycle as me...I've not got out the habit yet though 🙈 Really must because it doesn't help.

@Fraucherie wow sounds amazing - will definitely read up on it. I have bloods and scan first few days of next cycle so was going to wait for results of those before trying new vits (only take folic and vit d atm) in the hope the results will help give me some guidance. I guess there's just so much luck involved so even if you know you can conceive because you have before and there's no underlying issues, it's all down to chance 👎🏻

Fraucherie · 01/07/2020 21:53

@notyetamumbuttrying @Tink2019, I am entering month ten as well. Lucky number ten right?!?!?

notyetamumbuttrying · 01/07/2020 22:05

Yeah do try @Tink2019! It is hard tho, I'm so happy I've finally cracked it I'm not gonna lie. Now I'm here thinking that it means I'll get a bfp cos I'm finally chill...god I hate ttc 😫 lol!
@Fraucherie lucky number 10 indeed! Hope so anyway! It'll be cycle 11 this weekend even tho it's month 10 for me. Short cycles will do that to a girl!

Best of luck to you ladies! 🍀

Tink2019 · 01/07/2020 22:22

Fingers crossed for us @notyetamumbuttrying and @Fraucherie (and everyone else on this thread) 🤞🏻 ☘️

KK251289 · 02/07/2020 09:39

@Seafrontsky let us know what you think of the last GOT episodes! I've seen it all twice Grin

Hope everyones doing ok on here. I caved and used my CB OPKs. So weird I'm on CD10 still a blank smiley but the last 2months on CD10 I was on my 2nd flashing smiley! So not sure what's going on, I'm probably just overthinking.

Dbop100 · 02/07/2020 09:51

Morning ladies

I've been holding off testing all week (I was so good!), AF is due tomorrow and then this morning at 13dpo I caved and tested with a First Response early test and it was a BFN, plus I have cramping in my stomach so that's fairly conclusive. Really disappointed, had a little cry, we've been seriously trying since last August and whilst we have had a very early MC last month (5weeks) overall the trying has been almost a year and it's soo draining. Not much for it but to pick myself up and head into next month with fingers crossed.

notyetamumbuttrying · 02/07/2020 10:09

@Dbop100 sorry to hear hun, so shit isn't it! I'm a month behind you as we started in sept, I've never had a bfp tho. I'm due on tomorrow and can feel it coming already so I too am out. Do you think you'll ring docs next month?
@KK251289 yeah it'll come when it's ready. Ov can change month to month, try not to worry.
@Tink2019 thanks, you too!

KK251289 · 02/07/2020 10:24

@Dbop100 I'm really sorry lovely, take some time over the next few days just for you, indulge in wine, chocolate etc whatever is your fave.

Thanks @notyetamumbuttrying every month I seem to get worse panicking with every little thing. It's my OH birthday on 21st July so was curious if I could test on his birthday but that would be way to early now judging how this cycle is going. I hope AF doesnt show for you and you get your BFP. We started September too, hopefully the statistics that couples conceive within the first year we're so close to getting a BFP.

Tink2019 · 02/07/2020 10:28

@Dbop100 sorry to hear you got a BFN ☹️ I've never tested, I just wait until AF inevitably shows up (don't think I could handle seeing a BFN), so not sure how reliable FRER are but I'm sure I read that some women don't have enough levels of the hormone for the test to work even if they are pregnant...either way, seeing that must be shit.

@notyetamumbuttrying just realised that I'm month 10 not cycle 10, I'm only actually cycle 8 because my cycles are so irregular 🤦🏼‍♀️

notyetamumbuttrying · 02/07/2020 11:24

@KK251289 it's hard not to worry about everything when you're ttc. It's all consuming! Aw thanks but I can feel it coming so I'll be out from tomorrow. You know when you just know your body. I'm ok about it tho, I've finally got to a point where I'm ok about it all! I feel revitalised lol! Only took 10 months to get this point. 😂 yes just two more months to go and statistically we should both get bfp's 🥳
@Tink2019 we're the opposite way round with our cycles then lol! Funny old thing the female system isn't it!

KK251289 · 02/07/2020 11:31

@notyetamumbuttrying so true! I read something online about eggs having more of a chance to mature the later ovulation is or early ovulation eggs may not be mature enough (something like that) so I was hoping for slightly later ovulation this month but now I'm stressing (cant ever be happy can I) I'm glad you're ok, you've done really well to get to that point where you're ok when AF arrives. Fingers crossed BFPs are on the way.

lamby12 · 02/07/2020 12:11

@Dbop100 sorry to hear about this months BFN, always crushing to see and even when you think it will be BFN there's always that teeny tiny bit of you that still thinks it might just be BFP. Good luck for next month.

@notyetamumbuttrying @KK251289 I'm getting close to 12 months too so fingers crossed for us all to be in line with the statistics!

I am also a nightmare for googling in the TWW. I manage to relax during AF and ovulation but then get increasingly obsessive throughout TWW. I'm going to really really try not to in July!
