@Iamby12 I'm so sorry you've had to go through that! Take care of yourself!

@Tink2019 I just got one from amazon, by a brand called health leads. I did some research and found that the "big brands" like ovasitol have exactly the same ingredients and are sometimes 3 or 4 times the price! It comes as a powder which freaked me out at first because I'd naturally prefer a tablet but I don't even bother dissolving it in water anymore, I just take it straight into my mouth like sherbet 😂

Hoping41 · 29/06/2020 18:29

@lamby12 so sorry, that sounds really difficult. It sounds like your hubby is very supportive but you've certainly had a difficult time. Taking time away from it all and doing what feels right sounds like a good idea. Look after yourself 💜

Aokbaby · 29/06/2020 18:42

Oh @lamby12 sending lots of love to you💕

@DSC1 that's great news, I'm sure you're relieved

jlmul9 · 30/06/2020 00:37

Hi again ladies, wee update from me today. Went in for my HSG this morning. Had myself in a right state beforehand and almost had a panic attack on the poor radiologist. Was over before too long though thankfully! No blockages or abnormalities were found so such a huge weight lifted off us and he also told us the next three months we will be extra fertile so fingers crossed! Next appointment with the gynecologist is at the end of July and all going well he will prescribe Clomid for me. A BFP in the meantime would be amazing though!

Aokbaby · 30/06/2020 07:43

#jlmul9 that's wonderful news!! Fingers crossed for you 🤞🤞

Annny27 · 30/06/2020 08:44

Fingers crossed @jlmul9 :D

@DSC1 thats great that everything was clear!

Douya · 30/06/2020 08:51

@jlmul9 Excellent news, a literal "all clear" on the tubes!

Seafrontsky · 30/06/2020 10:49

Brilliant news @jlmul9 must be so reassuring to know theres nothing in the way. And approaching a super fertile period too! How do they know that did they say?

Loving everyone getting the literal all clear, feels very positive, almost (but not quite obvs) as good as a load of BPFs!

Seafrontsky · 30/06/2020 10:51

@Twinkletoes85 how are you feeling about everything? Hope you're ok.

jlmul9 · 30/06/2020 11:08

Thank you everyone!

I think the idea is that after the test the tubes are nice and clear and opened up from the dye flushing them out essentially. I read an article lately about a study that said 40% of women who got the test done got pregnant within the following months and that it could negate the need for IVF for a lot of women 🤞🏼

Twinkletoes85 · 30/06/2020 11:10

@jlmul9 I'm glad you got the all clear! The super fertile period is exciting.

@Seafrontsky I'm ok thanks, still feeling a bit down. Work have a phone line you can call for free with counsellors on so I gave them a ring this morning for a chat. Not sure how overly helpful it was but I feel better for it. How are you?

lamby12 · 30/06/2020 12:03

Thanks everyone for the kind and supportive words. I am very thankful for my 2 year old as having to entertain her means I've had to get on and carry on, otherwise I might still be in bed!

I don't want to completely turn off TTC but I certainly need to take a step back from the obsessiveness and try and take a more long term approach. I feel like having in my head that I have to be pregnant by a certain point in time has added to the stress, and is probably not a healthy approach! Is anyone else guilty of this?!

I have a doctors appointment on Friday so we'll start there. And I'm returning to work on Monday after 4 months furlough and my 2yo returning to nursery. That's good all round because some distraction is welcome now, the furlough time has made TTC too much of a focus with not much else to plan for.

So I'll be busy with work, control what I can and try to never ever early test again... Hmm

Good luck for this month to all those who've posted about good test outcomes. Fingers crossed for everyone! X

Aokbaby · 30/06/2020 15:54

@lamby12 I'm exactly the same, always think I should be pregnant by this or that date, then it's doubly hard when af shows up

I also agree that lockdown has put extra pressure as you've nothing else to do/focus on other than the fact that you're not pregnant yet. Google has become my bff and I can't stay off it googling every symptom 🙈 oh doesn't get it and tells me to focus on other things🙄

I got my results of urine sample back and it came back as all clear, had a feeling I had a UTI so that's a positive. Af showed up a bit early this cycle, spotting 2 days, light yesterday and light again today, not sure what's going on. I've decided to stop taking pregnacare conception too, just taking folic acid with vitamin d, vitamin b and epo. See how things go 🤞

Hoping41 · 30/06/2020 16:32

@aokbaby sorry to head af is here - is that why you're stopping the pregnacare? I thought it had a reputation for doing the opposite? I'm having none of my usual tww symptoms so also think it might be the tablets.
I know what you mean about lockdown making ttc such a big deal, I wasn't on here until recently and probably wouldn't be if it wasn't for the virus. Although I'm definitely more obsessed, I've learnt so much from it!!

Hoping41 · 30/06/2020 16:34

Meant to add - and thank goodness because I was actually so naive or wrong about a lot of things!
Glad your tests are all ok, good luck for this coming cycle!!

beachbum85 · 30/06/2020 17:01

@lamby12 what an ordeal... I'm sorry you had to go through that Sad

Totally agree with added stress of thinking you should be pregnant by a certain time - I'm so guilty of this and really trying to cut it out. And also that these months have given too much time to think about, and obsess about, TTC. I also joined whilst on lockdown because I couldn't stop myself from looking things up and reading others' experiences, which really helps.

Glad to hear of the positive tests Smile

@Twinkletoes85 keep taking care of yourself... we're all with you xx

Aokbaby · 30/06/2020 17:28

@Hoping41 I decided to stop them as they were making my ovulation later but leutal phase was still the same, also I read a lot of bad press about them so going to see if this cycle without them makes any difference to my leutal phase, will let you know!!

KK251289 · 30/06/2020 20:52

@dsc1 that's really positive news, wishing you so much luck for this month.

@lamby12 I'm sorry sending you big hugs. Really make sure you take some time for you. Take whatever time you need for you and I'm sure you'll know when the time is right to start again.

@jmul9 wonderful news, sounds so positive. Good luck lovely x

@twinkletoes85 hope you're ok, hope the call through work helped you.

Not sure if this is a random thing or not but I've started taking zitawest Vital DHA and for the past few days I've been starving!! I always track calories on my fitbit, I'm eating the same but I'm so hungry. Not sure if it's just a random thing or its these pills, as that's the only things that's new.

Twinkletoes85 · 30/06/2020 22:08

So I've done a bit of googling and found some posts from ladies saying the seven seas ttc vitamins delayed their ovulation due to the b12 in them.

I think that's what happened to me this month so I've knocked them on the head from today and I'm going back to just folic acid and epo.

OP posts:
Aokbaby · 30/06/2020 22:22

Oh @Twinkletoes85 I didn't know it was down to the b12, I might stop it too and just stick with folic acid and epo. Hope you're feeling better xx

Douya · 30/06/2020 22:26

@KK251289 It could be the reduction in heat? Wanting to eat more with a reduction in heat is common.

Twinkletoes85 · 30/06/2020 22:28

@Aokbaby I have no idea if it's true or if it's just something they've decided. It's obviously in there as it could be helpful but I suppose different vitamins have different effects on people.

It's such trial and error trying to work out what's useful and works for you isn't it.

I figure it's worth a try and see if things go back to normal next month.

OP posts:
KK251289 · 30/06/2020 22:39

Thanks @Douya that could be it. It's so weird TTC and all the new pills etc, you start thinking everytime something changes it's because of pills or pregnancy signs etc, never that it could be something else.

Aokbaby · 30/06/2020 22:49

Yea absolutely @Twinkletoes85 I think i might have started taking pregnacare just when my cycles started getting back to some sort of normal, so not sure if it was the pregnacare that was making my ovulation later or if it's just me. Total trial and error but trying to cut back to a more natural approach this month🤞

Tink2019 · 30/06/2020 23:00

Hey ladies, do you mind me jumping on the vitamins conversation? I read that B6 is good for regulating hormones, is anyone taking it?

@Twinkletoes85 I hope you're feeling a little better after your call x
