Hi everyone who read this! My typical cycle is 34-37 days long but everyone I talk to seems to have shorter cycles. I'm looking for others like myself who have long cycles and are ttc :) we are trying for our first baby x

@pol96. It’s horrible having irregular periods but it’s good to know we are not alone. Think I might start temping in my next cycle as think it’s too late this one. I didn’t think I would use as many as this so I had to panic buy more the other day haha

Pol96 · 29/04/2020 17:17

@Runnergirl1 right!? I was so sure I'd just do one a day.. Yesterday I did 4! (didn't tell my oh I'd done that many!) definitely try temping, it's a bit annoying having to do it before going to the loo etc but you do see a pattern.. I've only been doing it since halfway through my last cycle but so glad I did as it definitely showed a drop before af etc

Runnergirl1 · 29/04/2020 17:27

@pol96. I haven’t even told my oh I’m doing OPKs. As he has the mentality of if it happens it happens and we shouldn’t put pressure on it. Yeah think I’ll order one, thank you

Pol96 · 29/04/2020 17:30

@Runnergirl1 my oh is of the same mentality as yours.. I have got him on the wellman conception supplements though!
That's okay, hope it works well for you!

Runnergirl1 · 29/04/2020 17:33

@pol96 - men ay haha. Don’t even think I could convince him of that lol. Fingers crossed x

fifi1989 · 29/04/2020 22:30

I'm still getting positives on the cheapies and the CB sticks this evening (CD26).
Can't work out if that means I'll ovulate tomorrow or it's already happened.The cheapie looks more positive this evening than the one yesterday ... so maybe tomorrow?
Photo with the CB stick is from last night, the one with cheapie is from this evening.

@Runnergirl1 thanks 😊

After writing that introduction comment I just got this feeling to just take a test after a negative one last week.

I actually got a BFP....

Have faith ladies ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Runnergirl1 · 30/04/2020 07:50

@fifi1989 - after positive you usually ovulate I believe it’s 12-36hrs after. But sperm needs to be there waiting for it. Fingers crossed for you and enjoy

@Elmlee - wow congratulations x

wannabe123 · 30/04/2020 09:36

@Elmlee Congratulations!

Pol96 · 30/04/2020 10:27

@Elmlee congratulations!

fifi1989 · 30/04/2020 15:19

Congratulations @Elmlee, that's fantastic!!

Elmlee · 30/04/2020 17:02

Thank you for the congratulations ladies. Don't lose faith. My other advise would be don't let it consume you. I know it can be really hard.

You've got this ❤️❤️

fifi1989 · 01/05/2020 16:29

Can anyone recommend a good BBT thermometer? The one I bought last week is broken already!

Fisher1008 · 01/05/2020 17:11

I use the Natural Cycles App to track my ovulation that has a good thermometer, I think you can buy it without joining the app.

fifi1989 · 01/05/2020 18:08

@Fisher1008 Thanks so much, will have a look at it.

Moominmiss · 01/05/2020 18:11

Hey, I usually have cycles around 37 days long, ovulate around cd22.
I know women who have much longer cycles even than that.
But I’d heard about soy isoflavones and gave them a try this month for the first time and for the first time ever my ovulation has been brought forward to cd14, today! Literally got such a good positive opk today.
Just wondered if anyone else had tried these or thought about trying them?
Obviously I’m only cd14 so too early to see if it will make my whole cycle a more ‘normal’ length, but seeing as I usually have a 15 day luteal phase (and they say that usually remains the same) then I might hopefully be looking at a 29 day cycle!

fifi1989 · 01/05/2020 19:12

@Moominmiss That sounds great! I've bought some but not sure they're they right brand or strength - which ones have you been taking?
You are only meant to take them on certain days of your cycle I think - is that right?

Moominmiss · 01/05/2020 19:24

@fifi1989 yeah, I wrote a whole separate thread on here today about it. I’ll try and tag you in it. It has loads of info in it. Basically all the info I’d found from researching online.

I took the Tesco ones. They’re 40mg per tablet so I took 4 to give me a 160mg dose, or 5 to give me the 200 mg dose.

I took them cd3-7 x

Runnergirl1 · 01/05/2020 19:49

@moominmiss. - could you possibly tag me in that too as this sounds very interesting

wannabe123 · 01/05/2020 19:54

@Moominmiss please can you tag me too?

Moominmiss · 01/05/2020 20:29

No probs. Will tag you both now xx

Pol96 · 01/05/2020 22:48

@Moominmiss that's really interesting, can you tag me too please?

Moominmiss · 01/05/2020 23:22

Tagged you @Pol96
