Hi everyone who read this! My typical cycle is 34-37 days long but everyone I talk to seems to have shorter cycles. I'm looking for others like myself who have long cycles and are ttc :) we are trying for our first baby x

@jaydaebee - I don’t do bbt but if you ovulated as it shows on your chart your still very early to test. Hopefully someone will be able to help you out more

Jaydaebee · 02/05/2020 10:41

Thanks hun I don’t want to get my hopes up but at the same time I want my dream to come true xxx

Runnergirl1 · 02/05/2020 11:07

@jaydaebee. I know what you mean, who thought this journey was so tricky and a huge waiting game. I’m still waiting to ovulate cd29. Don’t know what I’ll be like come testing for pregnancy x

Jaydaebee · 02/05/2020 11:53

I feel like a POAS addict lol xxx

Runnergirl1 · 02/05/2020 12:01

@jaydaebee - you and me both. It’s even worse being stuck in the house x

Jaydaebee · 02/05/2020 15:25

Yeah very true hun xxx

Runnergirl1 · 02/05/2020 15:47

I got this today it’s my highest one yet so hopefully the next few days I will hit a peak on the OPKs. I’m hoping anyway haha x

@Runnergirl1 ooh it's getting there! I got a high 74 today! Weird thing is.. I'm CD 17.. So is quite early for me..
@Jaydaebee I wish I could help more with the bbt but I've only been doing it for half a full cycle..

Runnergirl1 · 02/05/2020 16:51

@pol96 oh that knocks mine out the park. Fingers crossed for you too, sounds very promising. I guess that’s the problem with long/irregular cycles it’s anyone’s guess. Ive been doing these tests since cd10 and I’m bored now haha

Pol96 · 02/05/2020 16:56

@Runnergirl1 I've been doing them since CD 9 or 10 too, it gets very tedious doesn't it!? I did start taking pregnacare conception 5 weeks ago.. Maybe it's that?? Been noticing ewcm yesterday and today too (sorry if tmi!) hoping to get a positive later on, really hope you do too!

Runnergirl1 · 02/05/2020 18:02

@pol96 oh 100% tedious. Maybe, fingers crossed it all sounds very promising for you. Here’s hoping haha

Pawsin · 02/05/2020 18:21

Hi can I join? Albeit a bit late! Firstly, congrats @elmlee!

I also have irregular, long periods (tested negative for PCOS though). They're normally at 44-55 days. Last cycle was 38 days, which is short for me, then I had bleeding for 4 days, although not as heavy as it normally is. The last 2 days since this bleeding has ended I've been feeling so so nauseous. I've read online stories of women who have been in early pregnancy and still bled around the time of AF, which is getting my hopes up (I haven't got a test to check) 😬 what are people thoughts? Was it just my AF and I'm clutching at straws?! Grin(I'm sure you can all relate!!)

Pol96 · 02/05/2020 18:28

@Pawsin if you have a hpt there's no harm in taking one.. Unless you'll be really upset if it says negative?? Do you track your cycles for ovulation etc?

@Runnergirl1 Omg just got a peak opk! 200!!!

Pawsin · 02/05/2020 18:32

@Pol96 I haven't got a test unfortunately! I do have an ovulation though which I may try as I've heard they can show positives 🤔 I do track my cycles, I have done a few months of ovulation tests too, but I hadn't done the last cycle!

Pleased for you that you got a positive opk! 🤞

Pol96 · 02/05/2020 18:35

@Pawsin I've heard opks can show positive for pregnancy too.. Something to do with the structure of the 2 hormones being similar.. Good luck with it!
And thanks!

Pawsin · 02/05/2020 18:52

OPK Test result, not positive but darker than I normally have it 🤔 I think I'll have to order a proper test to put my mind at rest Grin

Don’t know if it will help but i had 34-37 day cycles & conceived first child after 2nd cycle and the next child 1st cycle. I didn’t use any tests. We just DTD every other day starting when my period finished & ending when the next started or i got the positive test.

Runnergirl1 · 02/05/2020 19:39

@Pawsin - only way to know is to get yourself a test. Hopefully it will show a bfp

@Pol96 - yes that’s brilliant news I did one tonight and practically the same maybe slightly lighter. Go and enjoy your night

Suki2020 · 02/05/2020 21:03

Hi ladies, hope you don’t mind me joining. I’m currently CD42 not sure if I’ve already ovulated or not. My temp is all over the place this month. I came off the pill 25 months ago and it took until oct last year for them to return. I’ve had bloods done with my GP and they all came back normal. I’ve had two good cycles between between Oct to March. I don’t seem to have any pattern between my cycles. I’m waiting to have a scan to check my ovaries and tubes, but that won’t be anytime soon due to the virus. I’m 33yrs old and we are trying for our first baby. I have just started taking Agnus castus and vitamin D, I’ve been taking folic acid since last sept.

xoJellyBean · 02/05/2020 23:05

Love how active this thread is! I know I'm not alone :) hope you are all well. Do any of you track your CM? Yesterday (CD14) when I went to the loo I got tons of EWCM! Never noticed it as early as this before, not sure what to think! Confused

Pol96 · 03/05/2020 06:30

@xoJellyBean hi! I've been trying to track cm, I noticed it CD 16 this cycle, not sure I've noticed this early before either! Got a positive opk cd17 (hoping for a temp rise soon, but obviously then didn't sleep well last night Sad) so maybe a shorter cycle for you too??

@Suki2020 welcome! I also came of the pill about 2 years ago, my cycles were crazy at one pont had a cycle of 124 days! and I think are now only just sorting themselves out. I went on BC very young and think it really messed my hormones up, really regret it! I've heard a lot of positive things about agnus cactus so fingers crossed it helps you!

Suki2020 · 03/05/2020 09:24

@Pol96 wow 124days is a long cycle. How long have you been ttc?

What app is everyone using to temp? I’m using fertility friend.

Pol96 · 03/05/2020 11:14

@Suki2020 I know! Luckily my last 3 have been 43, 37 and 42 I think majority are under 50 CD for the last 6 months at least.. This is cycle 1 for us (half started halfway through my last cycle to get an idea of opks and temping)

I'm using femometer to track bbt (also putting them on to flo so I can compare)

runnerttc · 03/05/2020 11:22

Morning ladies! Hope its OK if I join, I've been lurking for a while and found all your stories so reassuring! I've had irregular cycles since coming off the pill Jan 2019 everything from 28 to 83! I've noticed a bit of a pattern with my lifestyle and although I'm a healthy weight for my age and height, I'm a marathon runner and my training intensity seems to have an impact on my cycle length. As there's no races now until the Autumn I've significantly cut my training in the hope this will help balance me out!
Currently on CD18 and still very low on OPKs.. we patiently wait!

Runnergirl1 · 03/05/2020 14:44

Welcome to all the new ladies. 100% the running don’t help. I am also a runner and know it affects cycle depending on how much your doing and intensity.
