I saw a thread about this back from 2019, a few people noticed their resting heart rate started to increase steadily after ovulation and they got there bfp. (Although people did report it rose then dropped before AF)

Just wondering if anyone on here has tracked and got a definite bfp?

I'm currently 10dpo and my heart rate has jumped from 60bpm to 67bpm since ovulation.

Not sure when my period is due as they are irregular.

Attached my chart too!

@Kona84

It basically plummeted 9/10bpm.
Have attached the screenshot, it dropped 1bpm a day till AF came and has just steadily gone back to my usual of 57/58.
Noticed today it's risen 1bpm so hopefully that's me gearing up to ovulate!

Sorry to jump in but I wear a Garmin watch and just went back through my charts and my rhr consistently seems to spike the day I think I ovulate, so useful! Unfortunately I didn't have it when I got my bfps in the past so cant confirm it also rises then but I'll defo be keeping a look now but there's defo seems to be something in it doesn't there Smile

Kona84 · 26/02/2020 20:44

Hi @sarahc336 are you meaning you didn’t have the Garmin when you had your BfP’s or the spike in HR?

I can clearly see my ovulation for last few months. I’ve promised myself to take the Fitbit off if I get pregnant or ill be over analysing

sarahc336 · 27/02/2020 09:57

Yeah I've had two bfps in the past and didn't have my watch so can't confirm that I got an increase in rhr then to further prove this theory but I've defo been getting spikes at ovulation, just helps to see when I'm likely to be ovulating but agree I'm a bit obsessed with checking now Confused interesting though xx

HighlandMam1 · 27/02/2020 12:22

Hi ladies!

I've been tracking via my Fitbit and always notice in increase both before ovulation and AF! Glad I'm not the only one noticing this!

Carley321 · 27/02/2020 12:38

Hi all I’ve been tracking using my Fitbit Dow a good while. I always have a spike for ov and leading up to af. It usually drops just before af arrives. This month is a bit strange though because I didn’t get a dip after what I thought was ovulation, it’s just stayed the same and still is really.

I’m really anxious about my rhr at the moment everyone I know and read seems to have such a low rhr mine varies between 68 to 75. Would you all say this is high? I’m 7stone 13 and 33 🤔

Juno231 · 27/02/2020 12:41

Rhr dropped 9bpm for AF and now that the witch has departed, my rhr has gone up by 1 already. I'll be drinking tonight which means my rhr will be higher tomorrow but will be watching it eagle eyed at the weekend /next week to see if it carries on going up until OD!

HighlandMam1 · 27/02/2020 13:11

@Carley321 you're not alone! Mines varies between 64-73!

Kona84 · 27/02/2020 13:12

@Carley321 it varies so much it depends on hydration levels, medications how active you are and diet.
I cycle a lot so my heart rate stays at the low end as I dont really get too winded until I’m running or doing something more than my usual activity.

Remember it’s the average too not minute by minute so you may have some parts of the day where it is lower.
I don’t think your RHR is bad but if you are concerned it’s prob best to speak to doctor

@juno231 I use mine to help know when to start testing for ovulAtion so I’m not wasting loads of strips in lead up.

My RhR is still 69 today. I’m 7DPO and feeling quite tired, bit queasy this morning too but could be all in my head

biscuit13 · 27/02/2020 21:29

Thought I would update with more evidence to prove our theory.
My rhr normally is around 69/70 and I've shown on the pic the spike when I ovulated (confirmed with opk) and also a '?' As I had a dip for 1 day and then continued to rise. Maybe could have been implantation??? Is that a thing, getting a drop for implantation?
Anyway I'm definitely pregnant, and rhr is now at 81.

Kona84 · 27/02/2020 22:21

Thanks @biscuit13 I love a good chart.
The dip seems a common event, maybe it’s after the increase of releasing the egg it’s then quite relaxed floating down until it meets sperm and it all kicks off again

Kona84 · 27/02/2020 22:23

Ah I just realised you meant the second dip. Maybe implantation?
Was it a weekend? Were you less active?

Kona84 · 27/02/2020 22:23

Why DPO is the dip at?

Kona84 · 27/02/2020 22:31

I just checked and I got the same 2nd dip before RHR rocketed again

Kona84 · 27/02/2020 22:32

At around 10DPO

biscuit13 · 27/02/2020 22:34

@kona84 it was at 10dpo and was a sunday so could maybe be because it was a quieter day.....

biscuit13 · 27/02/2020 22:34

@Kona84 yes I reckon it means something!!!

Kona84 · 27/02/2020 23:13

@biscuit13 how are you feeling? As it sunk in yet? Did you notice any other symptoms?

biscuit13 · 27/02/2020 23:16

@kona84 no I still cant believe it!!
Before I tested I just had really sore boobs which is a normal AF signal and I'd had cramps since 7dpo.
Still got cramps now, I notice they get worse if I'm doing a lot on my feet, backache, and feeling queasy on and off.

Kona84 · 28/02/2020 19:39

I’m 8dpo now and only feeling tired.
My heart rate is still at 69bpm I’m wondering if I’ll see a dip at 10dpo if I do then I’ll have my fingers crossed for the spike afterwards.
I’m back at my ovulation RHR

Carley321 · 28/02/2020 21:17

@HighlandMam1 thanks for the reply. Yours is similar but stays lower for long. I’m literally only under 68 for a day or 2!

@Kona84 thanks. But that’s what worries me. I’m relatively active. I do a lot of walking and gym/spin twice a week. I do my 10000 or over every day. Except a Sunday lol. Drink 2 litres of water every day and eating quite a high Veg/fruit diet no coffee or pop through the week. Maybe a few cup of teas and a Costa at the weekend. I am an anxious person but do surely my rhr should be a little lower?

So about me. I think I am 11/12 dpo. Not sure because strangely enough I had my bfp opk and rise in rhr but no drop 🤔. It’s just stayed the same since. Gone up by 1bpm today but had the tiniest smudge of very light pink when wiping today. I usually spot brown for a day or 2 before af which would start maybe yesterday or today. So looks like I’m out! Rhr has definitely played tricks with me this month though!

Carley321 · 28/02/2020 21:20

What’s your thoughts. Did I ovulate 4 days after my peak opk?

Tracking your cycle and possible bfp with rhr on Fitbit.
Kona84 · 28/02/2020 21:29

@carley321 I think it’s positive that it’s started going back up again.
Looking at the chart and why we have seen from others I think it’s possible you ovulated on the 17/18th feb (remember it can be up to 48 hours after LH surge) then you’ve had the dip at around 10dpo which is consistent with previous charts.

Have you taken a pregnancy test yet?

Carley321 · 28/02/2020 22:02

It is strange I usually have the spike the day of or day after the peak. But there’s not much action there this month. No I haven’t taken one because I have zero symptoms and if I am day 11/12 I always spot at this time (even down to it being evening lol) usually it’s brown so the pink was new but it was followed by very light brown (sorry TMI).

This is such a head fuzz isn’t it.
