Despite my TTC last month, it resulted in my AF arriving Christmas Day (deep joy!) it's round 2 this month! I'm due to ovulate on Monday (6th) so anyone else wanna join me, with the overthinking, being excessively paranoid, mystery pregnancy signs and taking PT's when you know you shouldn't be! 🤣🤣
Feel free to jump on the crazy train with me!

Wintergal · 05/01/2020 11:46

@Ginge35 aw that's great go and do your thing gal! Baby dust to you!

Sammiantha2020 · 05/01/2020 12:18

@Ginge35 ah you use the cb ovulation monitors? Sorry! I was referring to the cheapie opks!
I hope DH was on board 😉 I’m sure he was!
My fertile window is next wk - can’t wait, but then... I hate the tww 😔

FarmerWantsABaby · 05/01/2020 12:26

@Sammiantha2020 I used the cheap ovation sticks before. I used them for a month or so but I was so fed up using them. I couldn’t track my ovulation properly as periods were all over the place, I think I had a very faint positive line one day but that was it. It started to make me stress out then and think was I even ovulating at all. Now that my periods have regulated a tinyyyy bit I have bought the CB ones to try.

DH is having a grand ole time of it DTD every second day. @Ginge35 you go do what needs to be done now girl 😂 x

Sammiantha2020 · 05/01/2020 13:51

@FarmerWantsABaby Yea a few girls on another thread have told me not to trust opks, that you can get a high surge & actually not ov at all. Apparently the best way to tell is using a thermometer to measure your bbt - so that’s what I’m trying this month!
Do you tend to dtd every 2nd day? I don’t see my partner mon morn- Thurs aft as I work away so that can be difficult 😔 but try as much as we can.

FarmerWantsABaby · 05/01/2020 14:02

@Sammiantha2020 I was considering thermometer next month. Yea we are every 2nd day, that’s what we’ve been told to do to cover all eventualities with ovulation 😂 Im fed up, he’s in his element. There is little enjoyment when it seems like a “job”. I would say DTD for a nice goodbye treat Monday morning and a nice welcome on Thursday afternoon and you’re covered lol

Sammiantha2020 · 05/01/2020 14:20

@FarmerWantsABaby I defo gives me something else to do 🤣... ttc can be so long and boring!
Dtd feels like such a chore...I can’t wait to get bk to enjoying it again!
He gets it whether he wants it or not, but let’s face it men usually want it!!
What cd are you on?

FarmerWantsABaby · 05/01/2020 14:44

@Sammiantha2020 I’m on day 20 but my cycle has been all over the place since coming off the pill. I have two apps I use, and my Apple Watch also suggests different ovulation days despite the app being linked to the same one on my phone? 😂 so I’m either due to ovulate this current week, or next week going my both apps. I’m really confused. Which is why I’m going to start the CB OPK.

Wintergal · 05/01/2020 15:36

@FarmerWantsABaby I am the same sine coming off the pill my cycles are all over the place and two apps are given me different times so not sure which to follow think we are just going to Dtd every two days or so and hope for the best!

FarmerWantsABaby · 05/01/2020 16:10

@Wintergal what lucky OH we all have 😂 I think I’m going to start back at yoga this week and try to do more self care. I have a history of heart palpitations etc due to stress with work (teaching in a country that offers zero permanent work atm so no salary, holiday pay, maternity pay etc) and I’m also doing a Masters Degree, I do CrossFit 5 days a week (considering quitting and changing to a lower intensity regime as I lift very heavy), I farm in the evenings, I have a small craft business at home, I do private tuition for 5 students.... I’m burning the candle at both ends! Can’t be helping things!

Ginge35 · 05/01/2020 16:17

You sound extremely busy @FarmerWantsABaby
I work full time and also bake cakes on the side! My DH works shifts but he's off at the moment and doesn't go back until 13th so it's landed nicely into my ovulation days! 😁
I should ovulate tomorrow but I didn't get a flashing smiley on my OPK yesterday, but did today so we will see!
I'm sure DH won't mind TTTC an extra day if necessary! 😂

Ladies just a question if anyone can help. Cycle 2 and used OPK last month (BFN) and again this month.
I have a fertility tracker and I've just looked at a few others and their window is massive for conception!
If I ovulate tomorrow it's giving me another few days as apparently you don't ovulate the day of you LH surge???? But the fertility tracker states there's no point TTC after the day of ovulation as the egg is obviously useless by that point.
Wtf???? I'm sooooooo confused! 😩😩😩

Wintergal · 05/01/2020 17:09

@FarmerWantsABaby you sound very busy how will you even fit Dtd in!
Sorry @Ginge35 I have no advice to offer in that one! This is all over my head at the minute! Think am just hoping and praying for the best!

sojo44 · 05/01/2020 17:34

@Ginge35 I don't know how true this is, but it looks like there is a small chance after ovulation according to some studies. Hope it's useful.

What CD is everyone on?

Ready to get crazy in January!! Who's with me!
Sammiantha2020 · 05/01/2020 17:39

Hi @Ginge35. When I’ve read online it suggests you ovulate 24-36hrs after your LH surge (well that’s the cheapies...not sure about the clear blue ones). That’s why I’m temping this month as I’d like to know for sure I’m ovulating & when.

Ginge35 · 05/01/2020 17:48

Jesus Christ this is horrendous! Some people just magically get pregnant and I'm here trying to be a specific as possible and it's so flipping difficult!
See..... my crazy is starting already and I only got my flashing smiley face on my OPK this morning! 😭

Hi everyone!
Just jumping on the TTC Jan train. This is my first proper cycle since having my coil removed late November, trying for baby no 1!
AF arrived 23rd Dec and I’m due to ovulate on 7th but DH works away, and no chance to DTD on the 6th. We’ve DTD a couple of times already in the time he’s been home during my fertile window.
I’m already crazy for tracking every little change and I’m worried that my DH working away and conflicting work schedules when he is home when I am ovulating is going to make it so much harder to conceive 😤

sojo44 · 05/01/2020 18:12

I feel you!! I know a few "oh I didn't even try first cycle off the pill and oh dear I got pregnant" damn them!! (Just my jealousy) 😝
With the way we were drilled in on contraceptive growing up, it's like just touching a man on the arm without it would cause pregnancy - the lies! 🙈

BecauseReasons · 05/01/2020 18:15

Jesus Christ this is horrendous! Some people just magically get pregnant and I'm here trying to be a specific as possible and it's so flipping difficult!

You sound pretty stressed-out. Sperm can live inside for days, so have sex every other day and you're covered whenever you ovulate- try not to stress too much! Flowers

I'm wondering when to test again. I think about once a month should cover it, but I've got zero idea when or if I may ovulate so feel I should probably just pick an arbitrary day.

FarmerWantsABaby · 05/01/2020 18:23

@Ginge35 yaaassss girl! Preach!! I honestly get so frustrated at people who just casually say “we had a conversation one day, a week later I was pregnant!” They certainly shouldn’t feel bad about it, it’s amazing. But the jealous part of me is fuming! I’m glad I’m not the only one!

@Wintergal yes I’m very busy! So is DH! DTD is a sleepy handling right before bed most of the time. Unless there’s wine involved 🍷 😂 which I’m trying to stop of course...... 😂

LilMrsS · 05/01/2020 18:28

Hi all just jumping in if that's okay? I see a few of you guys use clear blue kits, I'm hoping their accurate. Got no face on Thursday and smiley (peak) sat morning, we DTD every 2 days after period anyway but getting tired now lol relying on sperm living a few days to cover rest of peak ov!
I'm TTC #2 and 31, had MMC in June nothing since! Don't think I'm doing anything wrong started folic tabs again and will increase/start exercising?? Thankfully I'm more relaxed about the 2wk wait now and might even not try test will just wait for mother nature

BecauseReasons · 05/01/2020 18:31

Don't think I'm doing anything wrong started folic tabs again and will increase/start exercising??

You know, weirdly enough I read something written by a fertility guru (back when I was TTC my first) which said that he advises people to cut down on the exercise and bans women from wearing perfume. I can't remember his logic for it, but he definitely said exercise is fine but too much of it makes conception harder. I'd forgotten about it until you said that, but I did steer clear of the perfume the first time around. Probably a coincidence?

BecauseReasons · 05/01/2020 18:32

*Also, I think he banned the men and women from wearing perfume, rather than just the women

Ginge35 · 05/01/2020 18:34

Oh @LilMrsS if only I could just wait for AF to arrive! I'm really going to try to but I have two PT's in my house and I know by next weekend they will be taunting me! 😝😝😝
I had every sign going last month so I'm not going to think too much about them too much as before!
@BecauseReasons I'm not stressed I'm just super confused with all this rubbish!
@sojo44 I know what you mean! Avoid getting pregnant for the last 20 years (ish) and now I want it to happen, I think my body has other ideas!
Hopefully it will happen eventually, but whilst I'm totally confused and thrown also comfortable with knowing if this isn't how Mother Nature see it and we have no children then I'll be ok with it!
