Hi guys

Not sure about anyone else but i have found that that i have tried posting on various threads and sometimes your own post gets really lost which can be slightly disheartening. I thought i would start this thread for anyone who has just started their TTC journey and together we can share our thoughts and experiences.... i do ask that (not to be mean) that this thread is only for people who have just started their TTC journey to avoid disappointment for people who are way into their journey and who may be experiencing different things. My own story is that i came of the pill in September and have yet to get my BFP. I got my first positive on Saturday just gone and now im 1dpo. Be great to hear from anyone in a similiar boat! Xx

@Starburst12 so exciting. Let us know how you get on x

Vikki90 · 02/03/2020 20:05

@Jenna30ttc aw well this is good, especially if you can work out when your ovulating (something I always struggled with) no just late, but today woke up and felt sick and felt different today (maybe it’s because I know) but just feel different. So literally just a tiny bit of spotting and then AF didn’t arrive. Clear blue said I conceived 2-3 week ago so I am only 5 weeks. My friend said her symptoms landed week 7. Xx

Lucy5546 · 04/03/2020 15:29

@Vikki90 congratulations. Great news. Welcome to the club! Hoping everything goes ok over the next few months for you!!

Vikki90 · 04/03/2020 15:54

@lucy5546 thanks so much 😊 starting to sink in now!! ❤️
How are you getting along? When are you due? Forgive me if you have already said, I get so confused with where everyone is! Xx

Lucy5546 · 04/03/2020 16:00

@Vikki90 if you are anything like me it will take a while to sink in. Im good. Never really had any sickness. Just queasy but that made me worry more. Had my scan last week so im 13 weeks today and its still sinking in!! I have been fairly quite on these threads since i found out to be honest. But i check back every now and again to see how everyone is!!

AutumnCat · 04/03/2020 16:15

I'm just fed up. Another pregnancy announcement from a friend and I made DH text back for me as I just couldnt find any nice words. Of course I'm pleased for her but I'm worried about my long and unpredictable cycles and I know it hasn't been long but I'm just stressed and disheartened today. Sorry to interrupt, and it's good to see lots of lovely news here (somehow it's fine when it's not IRL!)

Vikki90 · 04/03/2020 17:46

@Lucy5546 aww brilliant that you have had the scan, think I won’t feel really pregnant until I see baby in there! Yeah I get that, I will keep an eye out as well on the group and hope for more announcements 🤞🏻 I feel really bloated today, not sure if it’s a symptom or just my over eating from the weekend ha!
@AutumnCat bless you lovely, I had really long cycles too (42 day average) so don’t give up hope and I personally think I was ovulating after day 30 so try and keep going until the very end (that’s what we did this last month and I think that’s what’s done the trick) x

WednesdaySpinner · 04/03/2020 22:49

@AutumnCat I get that. It's hard when people announce it IRL but I am so happy for everyone on here who has got their BFP - it is different isn't it!

I was at the doctors the other day for something else and the nurse told me not to worry and to continue DTD every other day. The problem is that I have no idea when I ovulate (I'm trying not to use OPK's for the moment as we didn't want the pressure of timing it properly and I get different dates on different apps) and so I'm not sure when to stop. It sounded like a good idea to DTD every other day but honestly, I'm worn out!!

peachypetite · 08/03/2020 09:41

Wow @Vikki90 that’s amazing, congrats to you.
I’ve had a little break from here due to a really busy period at work.
Currently in my fertile peak and been dtd lots with OH so fingers crossed for me this month could be the one.

Vikki90 · 09/03/2020 08:01

@peachypetite thanks lovely 😊
I have everything crossed for you!!! 🤞🏻 Xx

AutumnCat · 09/03/2020 11:34

@wednesdayspinner yeah we don't normally DTD anywhere near that often!! Obviously have been upping our game since TTC but it is a bit exhausting. Then again I'm glad as it reminds me that we do enjoy it and it's worth losing a bit of sleep a bit more often than just about once a week however busy our lives are...!

Meanwhile I have long cycles, but 41 days and still no AF... my cycle has only been this long or longer maybe two or three times in the last 3 or 4 years of (admittedly vague) tracking. Even when I was on the coil, which seemed to make my cycle shorter rather than longer despite it having the opposite effect on most women! Mine are usually more like maybe 35 days?

Amd yes, I've tested, BFNs however hard I squint, this morning and two days ago. Plus I'm sure we just totally missed the boat this month...!

EithneBlue · 14/03/2020 16:02

... that seems to be a second line. 10DPO so it may not stick, but... Shock
This TWW we missed what I thought was ovulation day because husband went out for drinks and had a few too many. I had so few symptoms that I assumed this was another missed month so I've been drunk myself twice this week. Whoops.
Keeping this totally to myself until period is due (Tuesday) and I get a stronger line but wanted to come here and share the tentative positivity :-)

Jenna30ttc · 14/03/2020 16:15

@EithneBlue OMG that is defo a clear second line. Congratulations lovely. So so happy for you. How are you feeling? X

Jenna30ttc · 14/03/2020 16:15

@EithneBlue did you get any clear symptoms? I know you said you had very few but were they obvious?

EithneBlue · 14/03/2020 16:25

I'm sort of feeling cautious disbelief! Like... I will test again tomorrow and Monday to check it's getting stronger before I really believe it to be true.
Symptoms? None. Fewer than all the other months. I had honestly written this month off. Maybe today slightly more CM than normal for this part of my cycle... I've no real idea why I decided to test!

Jenna30ttc · 14/03/2020 16:31

@EithneBlue it gives me hope. So chuffed for you. When are you going to tell the oh? X

EithneBlue · 14/03/2020 16:53

I'll check it again tomorrow/Monday. If it's real: I'll tell him then :-)

Jenna30ttc · 14/03/2020 16:58

@EithneBlue that's sensible, though I don't think you have anything to worry about but totally understand why you would feel like that. Let me know how you get on the next few days x

peachypetite · 14/03/2020 18:18

Omg @EithneBlue!!!

WednesdaySpinner · 14/03/2020 19:17

Congratulations @EithneBlue! So happy for you!

peachypetite · 14/03/2020 19:19

Out of curiosity was there something that made you test early?

EithneBlue · 14/03/2020 19:30

Thanks guys! Fingers crossed for a stronger line in coming days - I don't want to count my chickens so to speak. I think I must be in denial, though: I still bought sanitary pads when I went shopping earlier!
@Peachypetite I have been testing early every month - but this month I wasn't really thinking about it: they just arrived in the post today so I thought I'd give one a go!

peachypetite · 14/03/2020 19:36

Fair enough. I’ve hardly thought about being pregnant this tww- all this corona has been very distracting! Period due next week.

Starburst12 · 14/03/2020 20:16

@EithneBlue ahh how exciting! Massive congratulations!! keep us posted throughout to let us know how you’re doing.

EithneBlue · 15/03/2020 09:16

Tested again this morning... there's still a line and it's slightly stronger (not much but I didn't leave 24 hours between tests). If it's still getting stronger tomorrow/Tuesday I'll buy a digital and show it to OH. I'm still in denial, I think!
Now, better hope that no one at this half marathon I am running today has Coronavirus.
