Too many threads and looking for friends to go through the TTC journey

Hi guys

Not sure about anyone else but i have found that that i have tried posting on various threads and sometimes your own post gets really lost which can be slightly disheartening. I thought i would start this thread for anyone who has just started their TTC journey and together we can share our thoughts and experiences.... i do ask that (not to be mean) that this thread is only for people who have just started their TTC journey to avoid disappointment for people who are way into their journey and who may be experiencing different things. My own story is that i came of the pill in September and have yet to get my BFP. I got my first positive on Saturday just gone and now im 1dpo. Be great to hear from anyone in a similiar boat! Xx

Hey! Ew, that sucks: too busy panicking and making coronavirus tests, obviously.
I'm one week back into school and already exhausted! But it's now the weekend and husband is downstairs making me a coffee and then I am going out to a hen party for bottomless prosecco.
Trying to go without OPKs this month - just plan to DTD every other day and see what happens. According to Ovia I am in my fertile window, CD10. :-)

Hi girls, so bit of a shocker after what I thought was AF arriving last weds (brown spotting) nothing actually arrived after that and yesterday we got our big fat positive! Can’t believe it!!! 😊 Still in shock as had no symptoms but funnily enough today I have woke up and feel a bit nauseous. I didn’t think it was ever going to happen so don’t give up the hope girls and have sex a lot (that’s what we did) Xxx

@starburst12 thanks lovely! Still doesn’t feel real! Took 2 tests to make sure and keep looking at them! Ha. How are you getting on? 😃 xx

@vikki90 OMG huge congratulations!! You know it's funny when you mentioned the other day you were spotting but AF hadn't arrived, I did think ooo she's pregnant and this is her spotting eeek Lol. Obviously you dont say that to someone haha. So when will your due date roughly be?

A woman at work announced she was pregnant last week and it just made me soo jealous! I'm in the midst of moving so trying to chill about it all and use the house planning to take my mind off but easier said than done lol.

Thanks @shaunab16 I just didn’t think I was pregnant as I have spotted before but I when nothing came I had to test (think part of me was too scared to test early incase of disappointment)
My cycles are long so I think around 5 weeks pregnant, so late October early November providing everything goes ok 🤞🏻
How are you getting on!? Xx

@Vikki90 I know what you mean, I must’ve taken around 20 tests before I believed it! I’m not too bad thank you, I had my booking appointment with midwife last week, booked my 12 week scan so it’s now starting to feel real. Well, it definitely is real because morning sickness has knocked me for six! So many exciting first experiences to come for you xx

@starburst12 awww that’s exciting! Do you know how many weeks you roughly are? I am hoping to have my scan before Easter as I have lots planned and I am very much the girl who always has a glass of wine in her hand 🙈 going to be a task hiding! Bless you with the morning sickness, I am praying this is a symptom I don’t get 🤞🏻😂 xx

@Vikki90 oh, I definitely hope you don’t get morning sickness!! Im going to probably get an early Private scan at 10 weeks because 12 weeks seems too far away. I’m currently 8+5 using my last AF date! Time is going sooo slowly haha. It’s like a super long TWW xxx

@Jenna30ttc thanks lovely 😘 and I am pleased your results came back good! This is brilliant. Will they be able to tell you when you ovulate? I am pretty sure I ovulated over day 30 as I had long cycles so if you have similar keep going right until the end!

@Starburst12 awww I didn’t even think about doing that! I am so impatient so I bet time drags for me to! I am hoping I can get booked in before Easter which I work out to be just short of 12 weeks! Eeeek. Xx

@Jenna30ttc I’m so pleased they came back normal. That must be a relief! Hopefully it means your time is soon! How are you feeling?
I’m not too bad thank you! Going to my gp this week for some antisickness tablets, MW concerned I’m at risk of dehydration from morning sickness.

@vikki90 hopefully your mw can book you for your scan just before Easter! Some people think it’s pointless for me to have a scan 2 weeks before my NHS one but I need the reassurance and it just means I’ll have more pictures xx

@Starburst12 fingers crossed! Aww no it’s not, I would like the peace of mind too. I think the next few weeks are going to be a nerve wrecking time for me. I just hope the scan is fast and keep telling myself if I am 5 weeks now it’s only another 6 to go...xx

@starburst12 It doesn't really matter what other people think, does it? If you can afford a scan, why not?!

I cracked and did an OPK, CD12 positive just like clockwork... best get onto DTD!

@Starburst12 thank you. I'm fine I haven't been as down as I was a cycle or two ago so I guess im just going with the flow and not having high expectations. Oh dear your MN must be really bad. I hope the anti sickness tablets help you. When is your first scan? Sorry if I have missed this.

@Vikki90 so i didn't speak to the drs for the results it was the receptionist 😂 who gave me them. Usually if it's bad news they tell you too book in with the drs. But because everything came back normal there wasn't any other feedback. But I have been opk testing and it came up positive last month so I'm sure I must've ovulated and since the results came back all normal I assume I'm all okay. I guess now if it doesn't happen within 1 year I'll go back to the drs as they usually say to go and see them after the 1 year mark. This is my 5th cycle so awhile to go yet. I usually ovulate according to my app and opk testing on cd15. So we will see. Awh lets us know how you get on. Also did you get any obvious symptoms before missed af? Or after af? X

@Jenna30ttc I think it’ll help to just go with the flow. Pressure on TTC also makes it less enjoyable! Sex is boring when it’s like a chore.
First scan is 27th March but thinking of having early scan on 14th xx
