Hi guys

Not sure about anyone else but i have found that that i have tried posting on various threads and sometimes your own post gets really lost which can be slightly disheartening. I thought i would start this thread for anyone who has just started their TTC journey and together we can share our thoughts and experiences.... i do ask that (not to be mean) that this thread is only for people who have just started their TTC journey to avoid disappointment for people who are way into their journey and who may be experiencing different things. My own story is that i came of the pill in September and have yet to get my BFP. I got my first positive on Saturday just gone and now im 1dpo. Be great to hear from anyone in a similiar boat! Xx

Mine should be due in a few days. I haven’t been symptom spotting at all this month. I am fully expecting period. It’s because I actually know when I ovulated and don’t think we dtd close enough.

Vikki90 · 19/02/2020 19:48

@Swife on to the next one! 🤞🏻

@peachypetite I had pains yesterday that have gone today so mines just around the corner to! On the positive we are away next weekend so I have a few wines, every cloud 🤨👍🏼

peachypetite · 19/02/2020 20:05

I feel sick and headachey tonight but I think it’s just because work has been very stressful. Got a bit of spotting too which I am going to assume is period as the last few months I’ve talked myself into it being implantation.

Swife · 19/02/2020 21:18

Thanks @Vikki90 😁

Vikki90 · 19/02/2020 22:16

@peachypetite I have done that the last few time’s I have spotted too...Although sometimes I spot up to a week before 😒
Least if it’s AF showing up your only a few days away from ovulation again...every cloud. X

peachypetite · 20/02/2020 19:23

Started spotting today. Assuming it’s period starting (due weekend)

Vikki90 · 20/02/2020 21:35

@peachypetite mines due from Saturday onwards. Ready to get it out the way then onto the next cycle, all I keep thinking is surely I am getting into the higher % of chance to conceive as been trying for 4/5 months now...!

EithneBlue · 21/02/2020 08:28

@Vikki90 My husband likened the increasing percentage chance to flipping a coin twice and getting heads both times: try it - sometimes you'll do it first time, sometimes you'll drop the coin, sometimes it takes lots of attempts. Eventually it will probably happen.

I hate not being on the pill. Proper periods are kind of disgusting. I adjusted my CD1 to yesterday on my app because what I assumed was AF ended up being 2 days of spotting. Yesterday was definitely AF. Onwards to the next cycle!

peachypetite · 21/02/2020 09:15

that’s a good way of looking at it @eithne.

Jenna30ttc · 21/02/2020 09:50

Hi ladies I'm back! Sorry that I've been MIA recently! The short break really helped!

@MrsH0692 A huge congratulations from me!!! So happy for you.

I hope everyone is doing okay? My current situation is that this is my 4th month trying now and like @Vikki90 said surely the % of conceiving is increasing now. Im due af on Sunday and I have no urge to test early so I'm just waiting for AF to arrive. I've booked in for a blood tests on Monday to make sure everything is okay (which I was surprised about as drs usually don't allow this unless you have been trying for at least 12 months).

Vikki90 · 21/02/2020 10:12

@EithneBlue like your thought process!

@Jenna30ttc glad your good!! Was wondering where you were! I followed your advice and rang my doctors and they have asked me to do the same when I come on (they are going to try and squeeze me in as I can’t book a certain date due to my cycles being messed up) let me know how you get on lovely xx

peachypetite · 21/02/2020 11:40

Hmm I’m wondering if I should also do the same. I usually have a few days of spotting but my period has properly started now, early. Only a 26 day cycle!

Vikki90 · 21/02/2020 15:47

@peachypetite it’s worth asking if you feel concerned but I think because you got a peak on the ovulation kit I would take that as you are definitely ovulating. I have never had peak hence my concern x

MrsH0692 · 21/02/2020 16:58

@Jenna30ttc thanks lovely.

I feel horrific with a cold and a few symptoms, but wouldn’t have it any other way! 🤣 xxx

Jenna30ttc · 21/02/2020 17:20

@Vikki90 oh yes I did mention it before! I totally forgot. I think for me whatever the result (I say this with caution) it will hopefully give me the reassurance I need that everything is working fine. I will let you know how I get on. X

peachypetite · 21/02/2020 17:42

Ah I just meant booking an appt. about a year ago I was referred for a transvaginal scan due to my awful periods (they have always been terrible even on the pill v heavy and painful). Unfortunately the scan showed everything as normal and they never got to to the bottom of it. I was prescribed the acid stuff to make flow lighter but that isn’t getting to the root cause. So for the last year or more I’ve just had this feeling something isn’t right. Maybe I’ll see how I get on March and April and then take it further? I’m in my 30s and feel like I can’t afford to wait a year before next steps.

Vikki90 · 21/02/2020 19:02

@peachypetite yeah it’s no harm booking an appointment, I am a believer in we know our own bodies better than anyone else so definitely go for peace of mind x

peachypetite · 22/02/2020 13:26

Is everyone planning to try next cycle as normal? (Christmas baby)?

EithneBlue · 22/02/2020 23:44

@peachypetite - my next cycle would put me at an end of November due date: the month after almost bang on 25th December. The still-hypothetical child can suck it up: it ain't that bad.

peachypetite · 23/02/2020 08:56

actually I think mine will too. My period is in full swing today, horrible pains and crampy. URGH.

Vikki90 · 26/02/2020 08:01

Hope everyone is good this week 😘
AF just arrived for me 😒 knew it was coming but my longest cycle to date - 44 days.
@Jenna30ttc how did you get on? Have you been in for bloods? X

Jenna30ttc · 26/02/2020 08:32

@Vikki90 I'm sorry af arrived! I can ring up for my results this Friday so I will let you know. Only thing is my period was really light on the day I got tested (not sure if that affects it). How are you feeling? X

Vikki90 · 26/02/2020 08:36

@Jenna30ttc ah good, hope your results are good and put your mind at ease or at least help you come up with a plan for the next step! I have just booked in for Friday (hoping I will be fully on by then as only spotting today) but if it lands full force on Saturday/Sunday Monday would be too late anyways, so fingers crossed I get the right results. I feel ok lovely, I already knew in my mind so have just been waiting for it. Now am just thinking, on to the next! Let me know how you get on x

AutumnCat · 26/02/2020 18:14

How is everyone? I feel really disheartened this month as we re ally didnt DTD enough though hopefully we hit the right days. Would like to get across to DH that we need to be doing it pretty much on a schedule, even if we dont quite feel like it :/. Tempted by SMEP but DH would never go for it! In the mean time I've just applied for a promotion at work... 😂

Jenna30ttc · 26/02/2020 19:52

@Vikki90 I will do. Let me know how you get on too. X
