Join here please! I’m still taking my pill at the moment but current packet runs out on 7th Jan so planning to start then but not really track anything officially. I’ve been reading up about conception vitamins and going to buy some this week to start taking after new year- does anyone have recommendations for particular brands?
Will be my first but partners 2nd, very nervous but excited at the same time. No idea what to expect but hoping to have some ladies in the same situation to chat to!

@EffRam I feel pretty pregnant considering I've just spent 4 hours on the maternity unit discussing my diabetes with three obstetricians! I've now got maternity notes at 5 weeks and I don't know even know if there's a hb yet I'm having a scan in a couple of weeks to check viability then if all seems ok I'll be started on some aspirin as a precaution

Thanks @FootballAndBeer145 but how annoying having such a long wait for an appointment that seems so unfair!

Evening all!

Hope you don't mind me popping back to update,
I'm now 8+4! We've had a reassurance scan and got to see our little ones heart beat and all on schedule!

I'd been really ill with morning sickness, had 5 days where I couldn't keep anything down at all, but that seems to have eased off now

Hope everyone's doing okay?

Congratulations @rhirhibumblebee

Advice please ladies!

So currently on CD19, and got a positive OPK earlier today (line same as control). Did one an hour ago and negative again! What’s going on?? End of LH surge? Dudd test? Shall I do another one tonight or tomorrow morning?

Hope everyone’s doing well x

Forgot to add that I had some cramping lower right side last night in bed. I did think at the time “is this it?!” 🤞🏼

Effram · 21/02/2020 10:31

@Newbie0818 I would test again tonight. It could be concentration of your urine but when did you test before the positive one? The surges are quite short so it could be you just caught the end of it! Either way go go go!

Thanks for the reply @effram I hadn’t tested since the 18th as I wasn’t expecting to ovulate yet (last month I didn’t get a positive opk until cd 27!). I’ve actually got a doctors apt later today that I’ve been waiting for for ages due to irregular periods and short luteal phase since coming off the pill in August. Might ask him about it too. Been DTD loads just to cover all bases anyhow haha

Well I went to the docs and they’re going to do a blood test to see if I am actually ovulating, but I have to wait until day 21 of my next cycle. Fingers crossed I did ovulate yesterday and won’t need to go because of baby dust 🤷🏼‍♀️🤞🏼✨

@Newbie0818 I have fingers crossed for you!

Congrats to the new BFPs! I'm just going into fertile week of my second cycle of TTC, so will be trying to get plenty of DTD in! It's difficult to fit in sometimes as we both work a lot but trying to put the effort in at the right times!

Hello all, been away from MN as been soooo busy with work and other life stuff.
@butterflylove81 wow that’s a lot of appointments glad they are taking good care of you though.
@EffRam huge congratulations! How are you feeling and getting on?
Oh @lastonetime thank you for coming back how lovely to see your little heartbeat there. When are you due? How exciting!
@Newbie0818 I couldn’t get to grips with OPKs to be honest, I’ve bought a BBT thermometer for next month if I haven’t managed to fall pregnant this month. Going to give that a go instead as from what I’ve read that can be more reliable. Fingers crossed for you!
@Lola871 we’ve had the same struggle in getting it done lots due to work, I am often super tired in the evenings but having to find the energy for baby making Grin

Anyway my update I think I am 8DPO today (nothing scientific to base that on just going by my app) I think AF is due on 1st March so going to test then if it doesn’t show up, I’ve got a feeling I’m not going to be one of the lucky people to get a BFP before period is due!
Totally symptom spotting at the moment, all day I’ve had the most awful taste in my mouth kind of sour- it’s even making tea taste awful which I’m gutted about Grin I made DP smell my breath earlier as I was convinced there must be something but he couldn’t smell anything. Even chewing gum doesn’t help. I didn’t have it last month, hope it’s not just hormones! Also had backaches and stomach cramps on and off.
I just want to know, too impatient for this Grin

@yoomoo due very end of September! We are very excited when I do manage to get some sleep! I'd forgotten how tiring the first trimester is and with a toddler in tow!

I do try and check in every so often, wishing everyone luck on their journeys 💜

@yoomoo Hi! Probably a good time for work busy-ness to keep your mind occupied! I'm feeling pretty good, some moments of nausea but that's kinda reassuring. It's a funny time this first bit just waiting for more confirmation! Weird taste sensations are definitely a symptom so I'll keep my fingers crossed!

With my first baby I got a positive 4 days before my period was due, at about 8/9DPO, but this time I didn't get a positive until the day of so just shows they're all different! BBT is reliable as long as you take it exactly the same time after same amount of sleep etc, but it definitely helped me pinpoint ovulation.

Good luck @Lola871 we had same issue as my husband often doesn't get in from work until 1/2am and I am up at 6 with our son so just had to put in the effort haha! We were both laughing about how unsexy it became...!

@lastonetime thank you for thinking of us! Wishing you a lovely pregnancy Smile

@EffRam definitely I’ve hardly thought about it today, on the train home now so catching up! It just shows that each pregnancy is different, I’m keeping everything crossed but if it doesn’t work out this month I have my fancy new thermometer to try next month, it’s still in the amazon package in case I can send it back though Grin

9DPO today! I’m tempted to test from tomorrow but I don’t think I will as I’ll just be disappointed to see a negative.

Currently 3DPO & CD33 - I've just realised we are away with DPs family when I can test 😩 think I'll have to wait until we get home

Effram · 26/02/2020 08:46

@yoomoo Def try and hold out as long as you can! I am not an example to follow!

@FootballAndBeer145 oh noooo but maybe it's good as you'll avoid early testing?

Report
FootballAndBeer145 · 26/02/2020 12:39

@EffRam that's how DP sees it, knowing me I'll want to test before we go away 😫 must try and resist

Newbie0818 · 26/02/2020 16:31

@yoomoo definitely wait if you can!

I’m currently 5dpo and I posted on another thread as I’ve had LOADS of creamy white (more watery) cm throughout today, which doesn’t normally happen. They said it’s probably a bad sign :(

Report
Effram · 26/02/2020 17:28

@newbie0818 loads of watery discharge was Def a sign for me in both pregnancies but can't remember when it started, so I would still keep hope!

Report
Newbie0818 · 26/02/2020 19:44

@EffRam really? That’s a bit more hopeful! I’ll have to wait and see I suppose. I don’t “feel different” or anything, so I’m just trying to keep my mind occupied and not think about it for the next week or so.

How far along are you now?

Report
Effram · 26/02/2020 20:04

@newbie0818 5 weeksish, tomorrow I think. Still so early! I don't 'feel' pregnant and didn't last time either so I don't think that's a sign either haha!

Amazing, everything crossed it all progresses well for you @EffRam 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Hi all! Been away as I was on my honeymoon and just enjoying time with my DH. So lovely to see some BFPs while I was gone! Congrats to all!
I finally had my first natural period since coming off the pill mid December (on the first day of honeymoon so typical) due to ovulate around 6th March 🥳
