Anyone looking to start TTC in New Year?

Join here please! I’m still taking my pill at the moment but current packet runs out on 7th Jan so planning to start then but not really track anything officially. I’ve been reading up about conception vitamins and going to buy some this week to start taking after new year- does anyone have recommendations for particular brands?
Will be my first but partners 2nd, very nervous but excited at the same time. No idea what to expect but hoping to have some ladies in the same situation to chat to!

AF due tomorrow according to Ovia (based on if I have a 28 day cycle - who knows!) Can't decide whether to test tonight or tomorrow or be strong and hold out until next week only have cheapy tests so not sure how sensitive they are!

Can someone please talk me out of doing a pregnancy test at 9 days post ovulation as I'm sure it will be negative. Today I just felt so hungry and I can normally forget to eat breakfast and sometimes lunch.
I've had
A fry up (last day of holiday)
9 McDonald's chicken nuggets a large fries and an apple slice I've never ordered 9 in my entire life! I felt hungry again an hour after
Went to pick up a Chinese and ate some sushi from the shop while I waited to pick it up because felt starving

Note: my diet is not normally this bad i got gestational diabetes at 5 weeks pregnant last time so have used the two week wait to indulge in things I might not be able to eat for 9 months

Am I going mad or is there a line? I knew I should have ordered the FRERs off Amazon!

@butterflylove81 I’m sure that is a sign of pg but I get really intensely hungry the few days before af comes too, then when she’s here I have no appetite. Since I came off the pill I’ve been quite hungry all the time! Hopefully it’s a good sign for you though x

Lucymagoo I think we might be testing around the same time when I saw you did a test yesterday I did one today. It was negative. Not surprising at 9 days post ovulation. I'm going to try and hold out till Monday

Guess the cheapie was right then!

@butterflylove81 I did another yesterday at 11dpo can't help myself! Period due Tuesday. Are you going test again?

Hey everyone how are you all? I'm at least 5dpo (maybe between 5-8dpo). I'm going with 5 to make me test later! I'll probably cave by Wednesday/ Thursday. No symptoms of anything except I'm SPOTTY! Haven't had spots for years!!! But I realised this is the longest I've been off the pill in over 10 years. So it could be hormone related 😩. Hate it !

Lucymagoo I'm tempted to leave the house as soon as I wake up and go for a swim so my first wee is not in the house but know full well I will wee on it and squint for a good twenty minutes tomorrow I'll be 10 days tomorrow I just keep thinking my pregnancies showed up early last time so if they are negative it will give me time to not feel upset if I get my period on Valentine's Day- my last ttc thread the girls still sometimes joke I should have bought shares in first response. My anxiety of the unknown means I'm just not good in this type of scenario!

@butterflylove81 bless you! I relate, once the FMU is out the way I find it's easy to say I can't do a test now until tomorrow anyway! Hope you get a BFP this time around!

Thanks I've genuinely found the last week painful it was like that week before you get married and you wish you could fast forward time because of the suspense. I know either way next week I'll feel okay if I'm pregnant I'll feel happy if I'm not I can try another month but uncertainty sets off my anxiety

So I wrote this month off as I got no positive OPK so much so i stopped taking my Folic Acid coz I was so convinced it hadn't worked- today my AF is 3 days late and got these! The uncertainty for me though starts now coz in have to have a genetic test at 11 weeks to see if I can proceed with this pregnancy or if the foetus will be too poorly to proceed!! Xx

Hi all, just catching up! I’m back

Huge congrats to @JaffaCakeGal and @MummyBearBoo wishing you lots of luck!

I’ve been so poorly the last couple of weeks with flu but I’m finally getting out the other side! CD10 today so heading into my fertile week, going to try OPKs starting tonight and see what happens. Looking back I think we missed my fertile time last month as DP was at work but this week he’s off so we’ve got a much better chance of catching it!

Shall we do a roll call of who’s still around and what stage we’re at? I’ve lost track of everyone!

Hi, I’m Yoomoo. Came off pill on 17th December, first AF arrived on 31st January so this is our first proper cycle of trying. I’m now 33 (was my birthday the other day) and this will be my first DC although I have a stepdaughter! Fertile period starts on Tuesday and ends Sunday according to Ovia. Next AF due on 28th Feb but hoping it doesn’t arrive!!
