Created a new thread as the other one was full. Hope everyone finds it okay!!

Yammers thread 11!

Yammer rules:

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement. Please read the rules before posting!

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

  • Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shalt not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night
  • Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

-Thou shalt not post pictures of positive pregnancy tests. We will be delighted to hear about it but no photos, please and thank you

I got a really really really faint positive this morning 🤞 x

NoseringGirl · 12/11/2019 00:13

@impatientlyinfertile I'm keeping everything crossed that, that line continues to darken. Cautiously excited for you!!

@impatientlyinfertile tentative congratulations!! How many days post transfer are you?

impatientlyinfertile · 12/11/2019 10:14

Thank you ladies I'm 6 days passed 5 day transfer today and I got pregnant on a clearblue ripped it open and that line is obvious 😆 I am sooo bloody happy. When's your transfer @Mseddy sorry I've totally lost track of your journey I feel like you may have done it now? X

Mseddy · 12/11/2019 10:41

@impatientlyinfertile it was yesterday. Bitter sweet becuase we only have one. It's amazing quality and I'm really hoping it sticks, but it's so hard knowing if it doesn't we are back at square 1. Congratulations, clear blue arnt that sensitive so if its come up on there it must be a strong positive! X

impatientlyinfertile · 12/11/2019 11:01

Got everything crossed @Mseddy are you waiting for beta? Or do you think you'll test? X

Mseddy · 12/11/2019 11:30

We don't have a blood test from our clinic, they just give us a HPT. Clinic want us to wait until 24th but I'm thinking 20th. I hope I last it out that long! I don't want there to be any doubt about it being left over from my trigger shot

justbeingelle · 12/11/2019 22:18

Hi all, I keep up to date with this thread but dip in and out. I hope that's ok. Just trying to get on with things and stop feeling like TTC is taking over my life. It's just always there in the back of my mind and it feels like it's easy for my head to get into that sad/anxious/angry head space. Does that make sense? It doesn't help that everyone around us keeps baby bombing - gahhh!

It's been around 1 1/2 years. We started getting tests for fertility around June. I have a large ovarian cyst (11cm) and DH sperm shows that there aren't as many as there should be, but the ones he does have are good quality. Awaiting an op to have the cyst removed and further tests for DH e.g ultrasound, genetics etc. Got an apt with the fertility doctor in December so well hopefully know a bit more then. It's just such a long and frustrating journey.

justbeingelle · 12/11/2019 22:19

@impatientmammy congratulations!

justbeingelle · 12/11/2019 22:19

@Mseddy just caught up with this thread, keeping everything crossed for you 🤞🏻

NoseringGirl · 15/11/2019 20:44

How's everyone doing?

I think that despite the positive OPK a couple of weeks ago, I'm having an anovulatory cycle. I'm at what would be 14DPO with temps all over the place, BFNs and no AF. I'm incredibly frustrated! At this point I'd prefer AF to just arrive. I'm heading into month 20 of TTC and could do without another 3 month anovulatory cycle.

Hi @NoseringGirl

Sorry you went so long without a reply, I don't think there are many of us left here these days.

Did you manage to confirm ovulation? Hopefully you did. I'm not tracking it myself this cycle. Had a lot of new babies in my close family/friends in the last month, lovely but also horrible, I've had to put all ttc tracking and discussions out of my head to survive all the negative feelings that come with that.

Hope all of you ladies are doing well and looking forward to the holidays

justbeingelle · 14/12/2019 00:21

Hi guys just checking back into this chat too, got a notification from the comment @Lilzpk put up. How are things with you all?

katybob · 14/12/2019 01:07

Hi bit late coming on this thread so hope I don’t cause offence I read the first two and think I get what it’s about. Just wondered if any one had mentioned menstrual cup for ttc me and husband were told we couldn’t have children due to a illness he had when he was younger. We tried any way for nearly two years and an American friend told me that they use menstrual cups to pop in after sex or collect the baby gravy in and pop in and it’s keeps it close and warm and it can’t escape. And so we gave it ago and after two months and some conceive plus we now have a one year old. My friend has been trying for six years. They both went for tests and told nothing wrong with either of them my friend told to loose some weight that might help. I told her about the cup and she’s three months now. Again little confused by the rules. So sorry if I’ve said anything out of place but please have a look online it’s an awkward convo to have with the hubby but it worked. Xx

NoseringGirl · 14/12/2019 14:12

@Lilzpk I can understand that, sometimes being able to take a mental break is very necessary!

I never did manage to ovulate. Am currently on CD61 and feeling very sorry for myself about it to be honest!

OP posts:
Lilzpk · 14/12/2019 14:34

@NoseringGirl oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully it won't go on too much longer! I know myself it's just horrible after a certain point. My previous cycle to this was 56 days.Out of nowhere. Have you gotten any professional advice on what to do?

NoseringGirl · 14/12/2019 16:22

@Lilzpk not this time no, when I've been previously the GP has said as long as I'm having at least 3 periods a year they're not really going to do anything. I'm still on the metformin for PCOS and had a few ovulatory cycles before this so it's frustrating to go from regular cycles back to this again!

OP posts:
justbeingelle · 15/12/2019 10:39

Really sorry to hear that @NoseringGirl, that sucks they won't do anything about it. Hope you're able to ovulate soon.

justbeingelle · 15/12/2019 10:39

@katybob I've hear of others doing that but wasn't sure of the success rate. I guess it's worth trying, will give it a go next cycle.

impatientlyinfertile · 16/01/2020 22:30

Hi ladies, I’m miscarrying. I found out the pregnancy wasn’t viable a few weeks ago and deleted the app. Took me soo long to find you all on the website. I see it’s really quite here now 😔 I hope your all ok as you can be. @NoseringGirl is the Ava bracelet a waste of money? Considering buying one off of eBay x

NoseringGirl · 16/01/2020 23:52

@impatientmammy I'm so sorry to hear that lovely! Sending you massive hugs!
I'm quite fond of my Ava, I've had it for nearly 2 years now so obviously isn't a guarantee but it gives great insights.
If you've got a regular cycle, I think it does quite well for predicting ovulation after 2-3 cycles. My cycles can be all over the place and I still find the data it gives me useful.
It's become very expensive to get a new one now though. I think it's almost doubled in price since I got mine! It's version 2 available now but I use version 1.2 and it does pretty much all the same stuff, the only difference is that it has to be plugged in to upload data and it doesn't have the silent alarms on it. So if you can save money getting the 1.2 then that's worth it as well.

justbeingelle · 17/01/2020 03:31

@impatientlyinfertile I'm so sorry to hear that, sending lots of hugs 💕

impatientlyinfertile · 17/01/2020 09:32

Thank you, I’m definitely going to get a second hand one as they’re so expensive. I don’t know if it would just be a waste of money as my cycles are pretty regular x

NoseringGirl · 19/01/2020 00:11

@impatientlyinfertile do you temp now anyway?

OP posts:
impatientlyinfertile · 19/01/2020 19:11

@NoseringGirl I don’t but I sleep with my son (still 😬) so it doesn’t tend to work for me I think I’ve talked myself out of buying one again 🙈 x
