Anyone get a BFP after BFN

I'm approx 9dpo and have been having lots of twinges and pinching on my right side, been very very tired so decided to test today and got a BFN.....

Anyone had this and then gone on to get BFP? Or am I out this month?

Sorry been trying for 9 months and getting restless 🙄

@Cabbiefix don't be, chick! Some don't get a BFP for a week or more. One girl took 9 days for it to show! You're still in the game until AF arrives. Any signs of AF at all??

@Gigi318 thanks, I just don't know, last week i could have sworn it was coming, but then nothing and just been having loads of twinges and pinching.... So confused 🤔

@Cabbiefix it does sound promising to me. How long have you been having the twinges for now?? Some people do have crampy or some kind of feeling for weeks or even throughout the whole first trimester, so it could still all be very normal!

@Gigi318 been having twinges since Thursday maybe? But Friday also had cramps so was convinced it was AF 😖

@Cabbiefix our bodies are so confusing. It could be a late AF or PG... so frustrating. But cramping os definitely an early PG symptom. Have you had any other usual AF symptoms that you'd have? I guess it's a waiting game. I hope you get a BFP soon!

Hi all, hope you don’t mind me joining. I’ve lurked on here for probably 9 of the 11 months we’ve been trying - love reading peoples’ stories! 🙃 So we’re ttc no.1, cycle 11 just about and not had any luck at all yet. I use opks off and on but try not to obsess. I have pretty regular cycles and generally know whereabouts my fertile window is and can usually pinpoint the first day of my period. This cycle has been v. strange though! Was expecting to come on Weds/Thurs last week (cd 31/32) but instead got a virus (am a teacher and NEVER get ill) and had more ewcm than I think I’ve ever experienced! That went on for 2 days. Not a single period symptom (am normally v. crampy, big boobs, bloated etc). Because of the ewcm I assumed I was ovulating super late and took an opk. Took one morning and night since Thurs and all have been blazing positives (test line darker than control for 2 days on the trot). Took a cheap Boots preg test yesterday morning which had the absolute faintest hint of line. I’ve since read nothing but bad things about those tests (thanks, cheapskate husband). All subsequent preg tests have been false but am yet to do another with fmu. Bought some first responses today (much to cheapskate’s disgust) but am scared to use and waste! Other symptoms have been nausea from waking til lunch, dizzy spells and just generally feeling run down and exhausted! Not my usual ovulation feelings, or PMT for that matter! All very odd! It’s the copious amounts of ewcm that have confused me the most! Sorry for the essay! Just feel like I need to get all this off my chest to strangers who hopefully won’t judge me haha.

Thanks @Trying93 and @Gigi318 ! This really is the worst isn’t it. You spend your whole teens having the fear of god put in you and here we are squinting at pee-covered sticks all day. I have the most fetching display on my dressing table right now 🙄

@Papertigers so funny, you're right. We spend years trying to avoid it then we're like 👀👀👀 why isn't it happening. I'm actually pretty good and try to POAS as little as possible. I actually don't like doing it 🙈

@Gigi318 @Papertigers yous are so right, when your younger you think unprotected sex one time will get you pregnant. Unfortunately not that easy!!

@papertigers how did you get on with your frer?

@Papertigers it all sounds very positive to me :) Sometimes line's gets darker as the pregnancy progresses? Keep us updated

@Cabbiefix no AF is a good sign and some ladies don't get a BFP til a few days later! In my 2nd pg December 2018 I didn't get a bfp til 17dpo an then when I fell pg again in march this year it was at 10dpo so I guess we never know what's going on but I'm keeping everything crossed for you. I'm out now for a few months while I go through recurrent mc tests but I'm staying hopeful that whatever is going on will be sorted xx

@Trying93 exactly. You do everything you can to avoid catching then as soon as you're TTC you're like 👀⏱. Nightmare!!

@HoldingOn2Hope it's really good that you fell PG in two different ways as it shows that no two PG are ever the same. So hard to even know what to expect really!!! Hope everything goes well for you with the tests. Will you stick around with us?? X

Thanks everyone, still no AF so fingers are still crossed!! Dont know when to test again.... might give it a couple of days, yesterdays were all BFN but back in work now so thats taking my mind off it a bit

@Cabbiefix still keeping up lots of positive thoughts for you lovely. I would say wait at least 48 hours or more if you can. So if you did FMU yesterday, tomorrow should be fine. Yes distract yourself babe!!!

Thank @Gigi318 am going to wait until tomorrow to test again.... i didn't test until the afternoon yesterday (but i waited over four hours to go!) so i test first thing tomorrow...

@trying93 thank you, I'm normally bang on each month so do have a good feeling just the BFN brought me back down with a bang haha But not giving up hope just yet

Hi all! No news to report 😒 took a rubbish little strip test which couldn’t have been more negative. Feeling distinctly unpregnant and just feeling really frustrated today! Currently cycle day 35 with no signs of period or anything on the horizon. Have a horrible feeling that I’ve just ovulated a whole 2 weeks late! First time that’s ever happened of course. Trying to placate myself with the fact that we did it last night and will do it again the next few days and hope we’ve caught an egg! How’s everyone else?

@HoldingOn2Hope yay, glad to hear it. And definitely update us on what you have going on! You can always rant to us too 😁😘 Yes 6DPO now and have a busy week so it will be okay for me I think!

@Papertigers well hopefully something will start to happen soon. Have you just had some signs of O at all?? You're still not out until AF arrives, remember that!! A lot of ladies get there BFPs when feeling no symptoms at all, so that could be a good thing. I think for most of us feeling PG is a bad thing as then we seem to get BFNs anyway 😂🙈

@Gigi318 definitely agree about no symptoms being a good sign! All the usuals just seem to signal AF on the horizon for me! I had seeeeeerious amounts of ewcm last week weds-fri. Unheard of for me! Literally the day I expected my period so who knows what’s going on there! I assumed I’d ovulated on CD19 which is normal for me - had the usual signs like watery cm, feeling horny etc etc. I’m just baffled this month!

@Papertigers hmmm it is so odd. Have you had any other symptoms at all? I did read once that you can get EWs when PG - so who knows but 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

@Gigi318 I’ve read similar things! Was really hopeful at the weekend but I’m fading now haha. I had a very tiny hint of pink when I wiped on CD24. Then a complete lack of PMT symptoms which I hoped was a good sign. And then the ewcm on CD32-34! Oh plus that evil Boots own test. I’ve felt a bit dizzy, sick on an off and exhausted but I could put that down to the virus 🤷🏼‍♀️ Such a guessing game!

I'm not testing till next monday if AF hasnt turned up by then.

Started over thinking everything thinking it might be a pregnancy symptom. Dunno why I do this every month 😂 pretty sure most of the "symptoms" are in my head

Sooooo..... I tested again. BFN.

Starting to think I'm not pregnant but now have no idea why AF hasn't started 🤔😬
