October bus

Haven't seen an October bus yet so I figured I'd start one as AF showed up today for me.

Cycle 3
Age 31
AF due around 5 October

7 October is my birthday so would not be opposed to a bit of a present in the form of a BFP 😄

Not sure yet if I'll do anything special this cycle other than taking follic acid and DTD, contemplating buying Clear Blue OPKs though I'm hoping to stay as relaxed as possible (completely failed at that last cycle and obsessed about everything so hopefully I got that out of my system...)

The waiting is hard isnt it. I'm glad that we have moved house as it has been a big distraction. I'm coming to the end of the FW now so the TWW starts again tomorrow. How is everyone getting on?

I'm giving CB OPKs a try this cycle, finally got a flashing smiley yesterday on CD13, flashing today as well. My guess is static will come on Friday but who knows!

@Polishedpebble1 I heard agnus cactus can help make your luteal phase longer - no personal experience with it but may be worth a try?

@MrsMeow2019 How is it going, are you in your fertile window now? Being around adorable babies sounds tough. My coworkers keep talking about how awful kids' parties are - it's like they want to deter me! Not that they know we're TTC.

@Raizelrea Sounds like you're on it with the CB! My DH veto'd the OPKs until January, thinks they cause me too much stress. I might have to get some next month though.....I'm sure I can convince him round.

Fertile window this week, we've not been as diligent with DTD this week as last month though, been super busy with work.

Hope everyone's month is going well, we're not that far from October now! ......

@Raizelrea looking good with the CBs! Ive been using cheapies as it's early in my cycle and getting faint lines so far. Fingers crossed! Heard of Agnus cactus but not looked into it yet. Maybe if this cycle doesn't go my way!

@MrsMeow2019 I can see how they could get stressful, though for me it's been the opposite so far - POAS in the morning, see what it says and then forget about it and get on with my day. Works much better for me than spending the entire day overanalysing my CM every time I go to the loo. That being said I don't foresee using them for longer than one or two cycles as I feel it would get pricey!

My fertile window is also this week, it's probably good that you're distracted with work as you're putting less pressure on yourself with TTC ☺️

@Raizelrea haha, he was a bit grossed out by it all. I had to go back to basics, my favourite question was 'so it just falls out of you?' Closely followed by 'when? Just throughout the day???' 🤣🤣🤣

@KLNM89 That's so funny. Guys really are oblivious to the amount of effort it takes to get pregnant 😂

I'm on CD 9 and today is my first fertile day and I'm due to ovulate on Tues 24th.

@GoldLeafTree I've only heard good things about SMEP! I'm not following it per say though we do losely stick to every other day (or more if we fancy). On CD15 myself now but haven't ovulated yet, think it will come over the weekend which would be nice. How long are your cycles?

CD8 today (let the SMEPing commence)! Not due to O until CD18 and AF due 2 days before my birthday 😀 I've ordered the clear blue connect OPK which will arrive Monday (day before fertile week starts) so I'm keeping everything crossed that this is my cycle 🤞🏼

@Each2TheirOwn Spooky, I'm also expecting to ovulate around CD18 and my AF is also due 2 days before my birthday! I'm already on CD 15 though, but the rest is eerily similar! Hoping for those birthday BFPs!

I'm in the TWW now, feeling very grumpy and hormonal I know that's not a sign of anything but already thinking this isnt our month

@justanothergurl How many DPO are you and when do you think you'll test? The TWW is definitely the hardest part of the cycle, so hard not to symptom spot!

I've been fairly obsessive the last few cycles, symptom spotting non-stop but I want to be a bit more relaxed this month so been planning things to take my mind off the dreaded TWW. Hopefully it does the trick 🤞🏼 x

Gawd I hope everyone is surviving the TWW OK.

I was away on a last minute trip over O day, so reckon I'm out this month. That still isn't stopping me symptom spotting with the best of them, along with random googles of the timing of that one shag we had before I went 😂The power of the mind is a crazy thing.

So... I took another OPK this afternoon. God knows why as I was pretty sure I was at least 2dpo already. Its positive! So I must be ovulating later than I thought. So glad I checked now as all of our BD has been at the wrong time now...

That's happened to me loads of times at least you've managed to catch it well done

Only DTD once but I am sure that was ovulation day...should be 4 DPO today and CM on the increase...felt a bit flu-ey yesterday, pretty sure I'm overanalysing everything!

@Each2TheirOwn Same, I was obsessing far too much in my last cycle, so far I have been more easy going about it this cycle (oddly enough thanks to OPKs - they make me feel like it's handled so I don't have to think about it all the time). Hopefully I'll remain chill oncw the TWW comes around, that will be the tricky part!

@limesoda I know the feeling! Have you got any distractions planned? ☺️

@justanothergurl That's great that you've managed to spot that - I wouldn't have thought to keep testing!

@SSC92 Of course you can! TWW is the worst! Do you have anything planned to distract yourself? From what I read you can only really have symptoms after implantation, so symptoms in the first week usually don't mean much - but of course that doesn't mean you're not pregnant 🤞

@Raizelrea you're right..I'm in such a state as I ideally wanted to reach my goal weight before we TTC but I also am too broody to wait!
Love that there is an outlet for us on forums like these! Hopefully work will distract me!

This is our first proper month of ttc number 2. Ovulating today according to my apps so will be joining the 2ww. Its our wedding anniversary on the 4th October so will either have an amazing celebration or will be drinking a large bottle of something

Ooo it wont let me tag you but @Aandherewegoagain we are also in our first month of TTC #2 properly and I'm also ovulating today (maybe tomorrow).
