October bus

Raizelrea · 05/09/2019 14:02

Haven't seen an October bus yet so I figured I'd start one as AF showed up today for me.

TTC 1
Cycle 3
Age 31
AF due around 5 October

7 October is my birthday so would not be opposed to a bit of a present in the form of a BFP 😄

Not sure yet if I'll do anything special this cycle other than taking follic acid and DTD, contemplating buying Clear Blue OPKs though I'm hoping to stay as relaxed as possible (completely failed at that last cycle and obsessed about everything so hopefully I got that out of my system...)

Hi ladies

TTC #1
29yrs old
3DPO
1st Cycle on Clomid, have pcos been trying bout 22 months
AF due 30th September (I know it's not October! But af is unpredictable!)

AndddddHerewegoagain · 19/09/2019 21:15

Hi @justanothergurl its nice to have a second timer on board. How are you finding it this time?

BntTowers · 19/09/2019 21:56

I'm going to jump on the October bus!
Came off the pill in November due to being made redundant, getting a new job and selling our house and moving in with the in laws we weren't actively trying until 3 months ago. Currently we are still living at the in laws waiting for our new build to be ready (it has been and continues a long and very much delayed and stressful process). So not the best circumstances to be trying but we are still hopeful.
This will be cycle 4.
AF or BFP is due 6/10/19
Last month we really thought we might be pregnant as I had lots of signs, but turns out it was just all stress related!
Here's hoping October will be full of good news and a house move!

justanothergurl · 19/09/2019 22:19

@Andherewegoagain I think I'm a lot more relaxed about it this time, but its early days still. How about you?

Bstansfield · 19/09/2019 23:23

What day is everyone in the tww now? Regretting not buying ovulation tests now, I thought I ovulated a few days ago but bbt is suggesting otherwise gahhh!

Doubl · 19/09/2019 23:48

@Bstansfield tbh I regret buying ovulation tests because they have made everything seem so much more obscure than my usual tracking (do my boobs hurt, hahaha)
So if I'm on my usual track, I'm a day in but according to the tests, I haven't ovulated at all Confused

AndddddHerewegoagain · 20/09/2019 06:44

@Bstansfield i had ovulation tests when ttc1. Not once did they flash a smiley face at me but 5 weeks later i got my bfp. Try not to stress about it and enjoy the extra bbd times Wink

Doubl · 20/09/2019 11:06

After moaning last night, I finally got a flashing smiley so looks like I'm ovulating late this month ConfusedSmile typically

Raizelrea · 20/09/2019 12:34

@Doubl Sounds like you ovulate later in the cycle than you assumed, so good thing you got the CB OPKs - seems to be my case too as my apps already think I've ovulated but I still haven't had a static smiley.

justanothergurl · 20/09/2019 14:23

I'm glad I got the OPKs. If I hadnt used them I would have thought I ovulated a lot earlier than I actually did

Treaclepie19 · 20/09/2019 14:58

I'm still waiting for AF to come so we can start trying. Currently on cd26... 🙄

user1471501621 · 20/09/2019 23:48

Hi
Can I join Oct bus? Ttc no 2 cycle 2. Came off pill and had extra long cycle this month for me of 31 days compared to usual 27. Had lots of symptoms last month. Going to try and not symptom spot this month and be more relaxed about it.

Absa · 21/09/2019 08:18

Joining this bus since AF arrived 4 days late in Sept 😡

TTC#1
Age 33
Cycle 4
AF/BFP due around 18th Oct - day after DH birthday.

We are away over O window... hoping for a holiday baby ... would not be called place of conception as that would be cruel (Turkey)!!

Raizelrea · 21/09/2019 08:49

@user1471501621 Welcome and good luck this cycle! Being relaxed about the process is more challenging than it sounds for sure!

@Absa Lol! Fingers crossed for little baby Turkey making an appearance - just in time for the festive season 😂 In all seriousness have a lovely holiday, should definitely make for a productive fertile window ☺️

Absa · 21/09/2019 08:52

@Raizelrea yes hadn't thought about the festive link also! 10 days away will certainly have a productive bedroom department I'm sure... but I read somewhere that too often isn't good as the swimmers are too young! So will have to try and hold off occasionally! A week of AF and then holiday - perfect timing in that respect!

Bstansfield · 21/09/2019 09:37

@absa that really made me laugh hahahah 😂 😂

Finally got my temp rise, and dh and I dtd last night which would have been my peak day so fingers crossed nice and tight!!!

Well having spent so much time on mumsnet searching for answers I may as well get my story out there too!

Age 32
TTC #1
Period Due on 16th. Oct
Started TTC since April 2018.. Got pregnant in November 2018 then had a missed miscarriage in January 2019. It took 3 months for my cycle to even return which as you can imagine drove me absolutely crazy. It took over my life because all I could think was ‘I’m sting precious time here not being able to try for a baby’. After having the longest 3 months of my life I went to the docs to be told that this is normal, and within 1 day my period started and I could not have been more relieved. It was definitely my head/stress that stopped it returning. From. There we have been pregnant a further 2 times which have come to nothing, which is fine (i can say that now - at the time it was just heartbreaking) however I have had a coupe of funny cycles in June and July. June - period last only 3 days, July it was 10 days late - again the hopes were well up there! With things getting no better we decided to speak to the Docs and dues to where its needed the NHS have not failed me. from speaking to my doc I was in for a scan within 9 day (scan all good healthy follicles ready there an waiting, everything looked good)21 day blood test showed I hadn’t ovulated last cycle. This seriously messed it my head, but all I could think was what is going on. Anyway last 30 days I ate well healthy, got all the vitamins I could from food, cut down caffeine as I am a tea Jenny! Started better exercising, cut. Down the alcohol intake and really tried to just be relaxed about it all.had another 21 day test and it was night and day result. Prg leave was up at 80. So definite sign of ovulation. Relieved to say the least.

We all have to just relax and let it happen as easy as that is to say, and I do think about it every day but I also try to tell myself it will just happen. I’m on CD 4 now and we as prepared as we can be. What I did think made a difference was taking my folic acid daily (I hardly took it previous cycle)

I am ever hopeful that October could be our month.

Anyway my long ass story over!!! any questions are welcome it would be great to share the feelings we all no doubt have gone through TTC!! who knew it would be so hard LOL.

Lex xx

Lexington86 · 21/09/2019 15:20

I also forgot to mention that I had a D&C for my missed miscarriage which brought a whole other dimension of worry into those 3 months with no cycle thinking that had caused some damage or even up to my scan recently thinking the lining had no healed (thankfully all well there). But again another turbulent trial of TTC!!! Xx

Whyhaveidonethis · 21/09/2019 16:31

Hello all, can I join you?

Ttc #4 (youngest is nearly 10)
Cycle 13
CD13

I'm due to ovulate today or tomorrow, had a nearly positive OPK this morning. About to test again just waiting to need a wee!!

I had a CP in May, then a normal cycle, then a CP in July, then a normal cycle and then a CP in September. Feel like I'm never going to get a sticky bean.

We are going away the day before AF is due on 7th October so I'm going to try to hold off testing until I'm a few days late. who am I kidding!! will take a CB digi with me so I can know one way or another.

I feel like I'm running out of time and it's never going to happen. Especially with all the CPs. It feel so much more cruel to actually keep getting a bfp and watching it turn to a BFN.

Lexington86 · 21/09/2019 16:39

@Whyhaveidonethis
I feel your pain with all the CP’s . the only way I could get passed that though was to stop testing so early. It made things so much harder and if I hadn’t of tested then in my head it would have just been a normal period starting. My emotional state was shot and I had to change it. 1st time is as pregnant I waited 7 days late before I got my BFP on a CBdigi. to keep me sane I just leave it now (and cant be buying pregnant tests each month!!) I could have shares in them LOL. Just relax enjoy your time away, it will happen! Xx

Whyhaveidonethis · 21/09/2019 17:02

Unfortunately my AF was late iwyh all of them so I'd have found out anyway but I'm going to try not to test until I'm at least 3 days late this month

Whyhaveidonethis · 21/09/2019 17:05

Woo hoo, just got a positive OPK so I'm waiting for DP to get home so I can jump him!!!

SSC92 · 21/09/2019 17:26

6dpo and imagining stomach cramps that I'm sure are probably to do with indigestion than anything else...!
Anyone else going crazy?
Hmm

Rinoa · 21/09/2019 18:08

@SSC92 I'm on 5DPO and definitely have sensitive nipples! I feel it so much when the bra comes off! Also very hungry but might just be me being a piggy 😂

Rinoa · 21/09/2019 18:10

@SSC92 sorry meant to say no to the cramps but more like pains in lower abdomen they come and go
