@TwittleBee along with 2 x 2 FRER for when we get back down to it! Grin

TwittleBee · 14/09/2019 07:06

Yeah it's certainly tricky to keep ensuring those solid 3 hours before and waking up at same time tbf @Avocuddles ! Temps are back up today. So tempted to test when those FRERs arrive... must resist!

What's everyone up to this weekend? Hope you all have something nice planned.

We are off camping and GoApe with our best friends and DS is having a sleepover with his auntie so hopefully an interesting one for us. Much needed escape really ad one of my other best friends gave birth last night and my due date was on Tuesday - we had such hopes of them two together

Pandora71 · 14/09/2019 07:58

I’m heading off to do some travelling in the U.K. visiting friends. I’m taking my bike so looking forward to some alone time away from home but I suspect will miss OH and DS very much as soon as I leave. Still no idea what is going on with my cycle. Did ovulation and pregnancy test today just in case and nothing on either...

Anyone in the tww?

@Russkispy what happens next with the embryos? (Sorry I’m a bit naive about ivf).

Seahawk80 · 14/09/2019 08:28

@TwittleBee sounds like a fab weekend. Hope you have a great time. It must be so difficult thinking your baby should be here.

I'm dreading that time, it's not until January but my sisters SIL and best friends SIL are both due then, I'm not close to either of them but they are people who will always be in my life and randomly both live a couple of streets away from me so I bump into them a lot, especially as we all have DC the same age. I'm just hoping I'm pregnant by then.

@Pandora71 sounds fun, are you cycling or is it a motorbike?

@Russkispy I'm pretty naive about IVF too but sounds like it's going really well!

We have a nice weekend planned, lunch with the in laws today in Putney which is where we got married and it's our anniversary this week so we'll go for a walk along the river and then hopefully meeting up with my best friend. Then lunch with some family friends Sunday, I told them about the TMFR as we had to cancel on them last time and I'm so glad as she is lovely but known for making comments like time for number 2 yet??!

Hope everyone has a good weekend. I'm off to check out yoga with Adrienne on you tube

ReeReeR · 14/09/2019 09:01

@VenusStarr It sounds like you are doing the right thing but it is so difficult and almost feels unnatural at times not to “try” when we want to get pregnant so much.

@JuniperAndRose Thank you. We have been better this week actually. I think being tired etc doesn’t help. We have dtd every other day the past week and I am on CD10 so that is giving me some hope. I think planning something nice for the months when you don’t get the BFP is a nice idea and I’ve done that before with things like a massage that I wouldn’t have gone for if I was pregnant.

@TwittleBee That’s is a good deal on FRERs thanks for sharing. Abuse my recent “chemical” I feel I’d be scared to test early although AF was late... Fingers crossed for you this month

@Avocuddles I think counselling is a good idea and great if you can get someone specialist. I think if you’re thinking about taking a break then its a good idea to take a break. We inadvertently didn’t get last month but I actually think it was good got me to have a few weeks of just living and not being worried about having a drink or going in the steam room just in case and not wondering/ worrying about AF

Hi everyone,

Sorry not posted much had a terrible week. How’s everyone doing?

I’m struggling at the moment at my brother is back home and his wife hasn’t just had a baby 5 weeks ago. So on one hand I’m looking at my gorgeous nephew and holding him in my arms and the next I’m in tears sitting in the toilet on my own so no one sees me. Is so hard isn’t it?

Good luck to any testers soon. I think I’ve ovulated as opks been positive but not too sure on when AF because of the miscarriage.

Hope everyone’s doing well. Sounds like some exciting things going on for some people x

Hi ladies, can I join please? Here's my story so far; I'm 36, it took 18 months and a mmc before we finally fell pregnant with dd. She's now 3. We've been ttc again for nearly 2 years and finally got a bfp through ivf about 5 weeks ago. We saw a heartbeat at 6+3 but at our scan at 8+3 yesterday, the heartbeat was gone. I'm heartbroken. I have surgery booked for Monday and then plan to start ttc again straight away. I have PCOS and endometriosis so will most likely be having more ivf treatment once I've had a natural period but figure there's no harm trying naturally in the meantime, even if the odds are incredibly low.

Mumlili8 · 14/09/2019 12:47

Well I'm out this month. 9dpo and bfn on a frer. So I'm throwing the crappy fertility diet out the window this weekend. Feeling down. I'm gonna just veg I think 🤔

Baby dust to all x

ReeReeR · 14/09/2019 16:32

@June1987 Oh that’s tough

Sorry your find yourself here @Marmite83 I hope you have a good support network in real life but this is a lovely supportive group

@Mumlili8 it could be too early for a BFP for you on a FRER but I say toss the diet anyway 😬

Hope everyone is having an ok weekend. I’m going to a baby loss panel event later and then doing a midnight walk for charity. I fell asleep in yoga today 🧘🏽‍♀️ so I’m obviously already tired but haven’t had time for a nap as a friend came an hour later than planned and just left! Wish me luck... I’m actually going to go to bed for half an hour before I get ready to go out 😴

@ReeReeR good luck hun. And maybe I'll test again in a few days

Treaclepie19 · 14/09/2019 22:12

Hi all, is it ok for me to hop on?
I did before but after one month trying we freaked out a bit.
Feeling in a better place now and just waiting for this period so we can start.

History is:
May 2014 - miscarried
September 2015 - had ks1
December 2018 - DS2 was born sleeping following a TFMR due to a very rare chromosomal issue

We've since spoken to a genetic specialist in depth and feel much more reassured. Though if we do get lucky enough to conceive it will be a long road with testing galore.

Anyway, hi! Shall have a read back.

Treaclepie19 · 14/09/2019 22:13

Should have proof read *September 2015 - had DS1.

thelittlepeanut · 14/09/2019 23:33

@ReeReeR good luck for the midnight walk, although I'm sure once you get started you'll be absolutely fine! How long is it?

@Mumlili8 I also tested today at 10dpo and got a bfn.. have been struggling with anxiety from the negative result all day. I need to stop testing early because it's doing me more harm than good. Tears galore today from the anxiety & PMS combo. What a buzz

@June1987 sorry things are so hard for you at the moment!

@Marmite83 & @Treaclepie19 sorry you both find yourselves here but it's a very supportive group.

Mumlili8 · 15/09/2019 02:15

@thelittlepeanut snap wish I could stop testing early but I have to start progesterone as soon as possible if I'm pregnant. Its starting to break me though. Why can't we be like "oh I want a baby" ..... Wham I'm pregnant not even one month later. Its all just so stressful isn't it?

Russkispy · 15/09/2019 11:50

We got 12 good quality 5 day blastocysts in the freezer! Absolutely gobsmacked! I never ever predicted this great outcome! First milestone successfully completed. 2 of them biopsied and PGS tested and will get results in a couple of weeks or so.

I asked my coordinator to thank our donor, from the bottom of our hearts. God , wish I could do it in person!

I’ll be heading to our clinic in 3 weeks or so for my first scan so my doc can tailor our preparation for transfer. She thinks it might be natural cycle. And transfer then toward end of October 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

thelittlepeanut · 15/09/2019 11:54

@Mumlili8 it's unbelievably stressful! The constant rollercoaster of hopefulness and disappointment. It's a lot to deal with. How are you feeling today?

Mumlili8 · 15/09/2019 11:59

@Russkispy that's amazing news hun your rainbow could be in your arms this time next year. I'm so happy 😊 for you xx

Mumlili8 · 15/09/2019 12:03

@thelittlepeanut I don't know had a massive temp rise today so got all excited and stupidly tested again ha! My body hates me Bfn again. It was taken later them usual but even using the bbt adjusted calculator it's till my highest temp this cycle by a clear . 23 °c. How are you feeling today?

thelittlepeanut · 15/09/2019 12:42

@Mumlili8 I had to restrain myself from testing again this morning but couldn't go through seeing a bfn again so instead I'm patiently waiting for af to show up. Think I can deal with her better than the stupid stick! So feeling better than yesterday! That's a definite spike.. maybe wait another couple days before testing again. When is af due for you? I gave up temping as I kept forgetting to do it in the morning, but might start it up again and see how I get on.. Think the trick is to get into the habit of doing it right?!

Mumlili8 · 15/09/2019 13:27

@thelittlepeanut af is due Thursday 20th for me so that makes me 10dpo today. I'm not sure I'll test again as I've had 3 cp back to back that didn't show up until 12dpo on frers so I figure it won't hurt as much if I don't know about it. Then if I'm a week late I'll test again. If its a sticky one I'll get a really strong positive on a normal test. When is AF due for you?

thelittlepeanut · 15/09/2019 14:25

@Mumlili8 I'm a day in front of you at 11dpo with af due Wednesday. Seriously sucks about the 3 cp back to back :( I'm sorry! Hope the next one is as sticky as superglue! I haven't seen a bfp since before my mc in Jan. Starting to lose hope, but both dp & I are going for tests so hopefully that'll shed some light on what's going on.. not sure what I'll do If results all come back normal 😩

Mumlili8 · 15/09/2019 16:58

@thelittlepeanut I had lots of tests on the NHS but they didn't offer any on DH. Did you have to go private to test both of you

thelittlepeanut · 15/09/2019 18:48

@Mumlili8 no, he just went to his gp and gave the same spiel I gave mine about ttc for 18 months etc and they referred him to the hospital for semen analysis. We're now just waiting for the appointment letter to come through, but the actual referral was pretty straightforward. Has your dh been to see his gp?

ReeReeR · 15/09/2019 20:09

I typed a message before and lost it again 🙄

@Treaclepie19 hi, I remember you from before

@thelittlepeanut it was 7 miles. I got home around 3, had a quick bath and was in bed by 3:30 ish

Obviously I slept in but felt a bit crap this afternoon then realised it was a migraine coming on and went back to bed.

I started getting migraines when I was pregnant I think. The GP gave me some migraine tablets recently that you’re not supposed to take if pregnant. She knows we’re TTC so just said don’t take them once you know you’re pregnant but I also thought I wouldn’t take them in a 2WW. I’m 11 DPO and in my fertile period now. I haven’t ovulated yet so can’t be pregnant yet. Hope it’s ok I took a tablet? I needed it but I mean I wouldn’t want it to cause complications if I conceive this month or stop me conceiving.

@Russkispy so excited for you! Would they pass on a message or card or something to the donor for you or is it all completely anonymous?

OP posts:
Russkispy · 15/09/2019 20:30

Thank you ladies! Every excited and a couple of more milestones to overcome before the actual transfer.
@ReeReeR I did ask my coordinator to pass our thank you with a few words of gratitude and appreciation. She said she would do it. I will she I could do it personally but it all donors are anonymous back at home
