Anyone starting their TTC journey in July 2019?

Anyone in the same boat? I'm 33 and from next week DH and I will be actively trying for #1. I'm excited, nervous, trying to be chill about it all but also imagining myself with a bump celebrating Xmas this year

I started taking SS 'trying for a baby' supplements 4 weeks ago, not sure if it was their effects or not but this month my cycle was 20 days. Otherwise i'm 27 days always. Anyways, let's see what happens.

Hoping to find some pals in a similar place at the moment on here!

@Positivity2019 it's true, I guess it does make it easier knowing that we can't do anything until this is all over. I was even in the middle of buying my home and it's been put on hold for this, sooo annoying. Definitely need a fun date night as it goes... My partner is just so hard to persuade to do anything... I ask to play cards or things like that he's not interested. Exasperating at the best of times hah but I'll figure out a way we can both have fun. So I think I've ovulated now, I got my peak last night on a cheapie opk and this morning it's gone back down. I'll keep. Checking my cervix to see if it softens and rises as I don't k ow if I have felt it do that yet and if it does we will dtd again tonight. We really struggled last night, for the first time ever he couldn't really keep. It hard and he's very healthy in that way.

@Missgoldilocks - another idea to add to @Positivity2019's amazing advice is...and it's really small...but I find making the bedroom really lovely, with fresh sheets and scented candles and tidying away mess (I am naturally messy) can really help create a sexy vibe in bed! Tidy room, tidy mind, amazing sex I feel! X

Oh how frustrating for you @Missgoldilocks having to put your house buying on hold. It is such a frustrating time just now, I’ll be glad when we are on the other side of it.
Seems to me like you DTD plenty over your fertile period so fingers crossed and sending out positive thoughts for you.

@jx0x0 sorry to hear about the drop in your temp but like @Missgoldilocks said it could be good news. I also got a temp drop last night and I am certain it’s a drop towards AF not anything to do with implantation so looks like I am also only cycle 12. However, I feel so resigned to it, I’ve been waiting for the drop since TWW started as I am loosing all faith really. It’s quite depressing to think about sometimes.

I tell you something that I am massively struggling with just now, it’s the picture nominations for mums to post on Facebook 10 pics of their kids no explanations etc. I love my friends and family and I love all the kiddies in my life but that is hard to see all over Facebook just now.

AF arrived for me. Sigh. Onto the next month! @Positivity2019 How are you getting on? Sending you love and luck! I don't have facebook or instagram apps on my phone. Haven't for two years now. Makes such a difference as I used to just flick onto them all the time, whenever I had a spare second. Now I only go on them when I actually decide to, log in etc. Really makes difference to happiness levels - and this was even before I started ttc.

@Positivity2019 what I'm finding difficult is that on my other thread I've been on from. The beginning basically everyone has had their bfps except for 2 of us, one has stopped since her luteal phase is super short. The other has irregular cycles and I'm like ahha just hereeee
Try not to look at the photos especially on the days you don't feel strong enough x

@Missgoldilocks that’s must be hard for you with that other thread. This is the only active thread I am on really. I post a few things here or there but not too much. How are you feeling after your fertile period?

@jx0x0 that sucks about your AF. Make sure to take care of yourself over the next few days. Fingers crossed this is your month coming.

No AF yet but I can feel her brewing. We had an impromptu fool around just before lunch today so I reckon that’s probably gotten things started but it was due tomorrow anyway. I’m trying to avoid Facebook just now though I am using a lot for work at the moment so there are times I’m on. It’s just one of those things. I know I would be doing the same thing if I was them so I need to just suck it up.

@Positivity2019 actually come to think of it it's 3 of us left now on here even!
Yes just don't go on Facebook, even when I watch movies and it talks about getting pregnant I'm like ahhhhhh😩
I'm sorry you can feel af coming 😣 I'm not looking forward to the chance of that happening if I'm honest. After my fertile week, we'll we gave it our absolute best to the point of exhaustion. If it doesn't work then next month I'm not going to push the sex so much just twice around the time needed... Let's hope there isn't a next time

I’ll let you know what happens in the next couple of days. Testing day with be Friday morning if I get there.

Sooo I got this this morning. Can’t quite believe it. I am currently doing a four hour hold so I can test again but fingers crossed this is the real deal. X

Yup. I stopped my pill on the 25th May 2019 so it is almost spot on a year. I took another frer and I did a test for my clearblue fertility monitor as it has pregnancy testing capability. All positive.
I can not believe it. @Missgoldilocks Thank you so much!! For your encouragement and support. I tell you I had lost all hope these past few months, genuine. I thought that although yea it works out for some people even if it takes ages, I would be one of the unlucky ones. Literally just goes to show we don’t know what is right round the corner!!

I totally hear what you are saying about finding fb etc difficult so I really hope you don’t mind me sharing this but thought you might like to know that little wake me up with a babychino was born recently and is doing well! The older kids love him to bits. So stressful with the virus situation but all went fine.

@Positivity2019 - That is such wonderful news! Congratulations! And yes, it does give all of us who have been trying for the same amount of time hope! Did you do anything different this month? And how many times did you BD in fertile week? So so happy for you! x

@jx0x0 thank you so much. The only thing that was different was I used the clear blue fertility monitor. I bought it at the end of my last period. It identified my peak day as much earlier than the Ava bracelet that I also use. We DTD less this month because I think we were both feeling the stress and pressure and I had resigned myself to needing some medical help and that until I could get that we might as well ease back a little and just DTD a few times in the fertile time. We DTD both days of the peak reading from the monitor and twice during the Ava fertile period. That was it.
