Anyone in the same boat? I'm 33 and from next week DH and I will be actively trying for #1. I'm excited, nervous, trying to be chill about it all but also imagining myself with a bump celebrating Xmas this year Grin

I started taking SS 'trying for a baby' supplements 4 weeks ago, not sure if it was their effects or not but this month my cycle was 20 days. Otherwise i'm 27 days always. Anyways, let's see what happens.

Hoping to find some pals in a similar place at the moment on here!

Yes period has come to an end. I am CD6. Going to try and hold off having too much sex too early this month. Me and DP get a bit excited around this time and sometimes by the time my O has come we're a bit sexed out.

Using Clear Blue digital ovulation sticks so plan is to have sex every other day on fertile week and only have sex everyday once we get the static smiley. Also I am going to try and have sex for three days after static smiley and no just two.

How are you feeling @Positivity2019?

Also official hello to @Missgoldilocks and @Wearenotyourkind. I am new here but have been trying since July 2019 also. I am 34 and trying for first baby.

@Wearenotyourkind I am so sorry to read about your miscarriage. Sending you love and strength.

x

Positivity2019 · 24/05/2020 17:08

@jx0x0 sounds like you have a solid plan there. Good luck for this month.
I’m feeling ok, maybe a tab anxious. I had a small amount of rusty brown discharge yesterday. It was just on the tissue when I wiped, looked like mucus with old blood in it. Since then I’ve had little tinges of the rusty discharge on tissue when I wipe but it seems to be stopping. It’s not pink at all and I’m not cramping. I’ve read and it’s quite common but that doesn’t stop me thinking the worse. I’m calling my medical practice tomorrow anyway to get the ball rolling so I will see about talking to someone for some advice but I imagine they will just say wait n see and keep a track. It does seem to have disappeared to nothing so fingers crossed it’s just a flush out of stuff while my body is changing

Missgoldilocks · 24/05/2020 19:17

@Positivity2019 I got my implantation bleed after I found out I was pregnant, so that's probably what it is and rust colour is perfect. I'm okay, hungover today, had great sex yesterday to my amazement hahahaah I guess it's because it wasn't fertile week. It was sooo good, I'm being a very nice girlfriend today 😂. I'm 7dpo and don't feel any different, don't think I'm pregnant and happy that I'm kind of distracted. I'll allow myself to be upset when I feel af will be with me,but until then I'll just plod along. X

@jx0x0 hey! I started the same time last year, August for me and I just turned 28 I have a 9 year old already :) good luck to you for the coming cycle x

Positivity2019 · 24/05/2020 22:35

Oh yay @Missgoldilocks I’m bloody chuffed for you, great sex and a hangover well deserved!!! Sounds like a great weekend! And thanks for the reassurance, I do feel better about it all today. Told my three closest friends yesterday and today but that’s everyone until we’ve had a scan.

Wearenotyourkind · 25/05/2020 16:09

Hi @jx0x0 nice to have you with us. I'm also 34 and trying for first baby.

I never knew this would be so hard. I'm still waiting for the miscarriage to progress. I've had 2 scans and both showed the sac and foetal pole but no heartbeat. So at the moment I'm just walking around with a dead foetus inside me, waiting for it to come out.

Hope everyone else is doing okay 💗

Missgoldilocks · 25/05/2020 17:10

@Wearenotyourkind I'm so sorry to hear this. This just happened to a friend of mine and the tablets didnt bring it on so she had to have surgery. I'm really sorry sending you lots of hugs and please be kind to yourself 🙏🤗🤗 are they waiting to see if a heartbeat appears?

Missgoldilocks · 25/05/2020 17:11

@Positivity2019 thank you haha definitely well deserved I say. Yes, keep it to the Minumum of telling people till the scan ❤️

Positivity2019 · 25/05/2020 21:22

@Wearenotyourkind Such a horrible and difficult time for you, I’m so sorry. ❤️

jx0x0 · 28/05/2020 16:41

@Wearenotyourkind - thinking of you. How are you doing? x

Missgoldilocks · 29/05/2020 12:06

Hey ladies how are we all? So tell talepre af symptoms came, along with craving of ice cream which I had yesterday. Af is due Sunday but pink spotting has started today at 12dpo. Now I know af is coming but I can't help but have a glimmer of hope that maybe it's something else since I've NEVER spotted or started af on 12dpo and I'm cd27, in 11 months I've always had 28/29/30 day cycles. It's just my luck that now my body wants to play tricks on me in such a cruel manner 😕

Positivity2019 · 29/05/2020 12:23

Well fingers crossed @Missgoldilocks!! That sounds like it might be promising. Are you having cramps at all?

Wearenotyourkind · 29/05/2020 12:49

Thank you for thinking of me @jx0x0. I'm still in limbo waiting for the miscarriage to progress naturally. The hospital midwife phoned on Wednesday and we agreed that I'd wait one more week and if nothing then (which will be 3 weeks since my first scan), then I'll do the medical management. Feeling pretty low at times. Some days better than others. How are you doing? 💓

Hang in there @Missgoldilocks 💕

How are you doing @Positivity2019? 💗

Missgoldilocks · 29/05/2020 12:58

@Positivity2019 only slight cramping but I feel sick and I usually feel sick before af so I can't really tell. I think af will come, it's probably too good to be true x

@Wearenotyourkind thank you x sorry to hear aboit this, my friend had to wait 6 weeks and then it happened without medical management xx

Florarenniemackintosh · 29/05/2020 16:19

Hey can I join in here? I have also been trying since July last year. I'm 33, TTC first, had AF today, cycle 11.

Next month we try SMEP : has anyone else here tried?

It would be great if sex ed had mentioned actually how looong it can take to get pregnant and how harrowing it can be, how much pain and disappointment is a long that way. My school was all 'touching a boy might get you pregnant!' Lol, aye.

Wishing you all luck and happiness along this journey x

Missgoldilocks · 29/05/2020 16:40

@florarenniemackintosh wow a mouthful name there! Welcome, it is super hard! Have you had any tests done? If I'm not pregnant this time then it'll be cycle 11 for me too x

Florarenniemackintosh · 29/05/2020 16:50

@missgoldilocks no, but next week we are going to the doctors to start the process. Have you?

Positivity2019 · 29/05/2020 17:01

@Wearenotyourkind I’m really sorry to hear you are still in limbo. I hope you can enjoy some of this lovely weather we are having and relax some. Take care of yourself ❤️
I am doing ok, thanks for asking. 5 weeks today and very few symptoms. Nausea comes and goes but is nothing much of anything, nipples are tender, tired and peeing a bit more. I have moments were I overthink and stress that I’ve few symptoms because The hormones aren’t high enough or doubling like they should be. Then I think we’ll it’s prob coz you are only just 5 weeks, calm the f*ck down 😂

I have my first midwife appointment on Mon 8th June at 2.30pm. I’ll be 6+3. I’m researching reviews on private scan clinics as I think I would like to get an early scan at 8 weeks.

@Missgoldilocks I’ll be thinking of you all weekend. Everything crossed for you. Nausea, cramps, tiny bleed...keep thinking positive, it could be your month.

@Florarenniemackintosh welcome to the thread. I half heartedly tried SMEP a handful of times But never properly got into it. Good luck if you give it a go this week.

Sending you best wishes and lashings of baby dust this month. Enjoy the weather!!!! ☀️🔥🌈❤️

Missgoldilocks · 29/05/2020 17:43

@florarenniemackintosh I have a 9 year old from previous so I can get pregnant and my partner had his sperm checked all fine. It just seems to be taking forever

Missgoldilocks · 31/05/2020 15:24

@Positivity2019 af just came for me. I was silently hoping because of the spotting on 12dpo and I didn't come on in the morning as I usually do. But it's here, on to another month I suppose. Hope you're well x

Florarenniemackintosh · 31/05/2020 18:25

@missgoldilocks I am sorry to hear that. It is so disappointing every time : so few chances, so much waiting. I hope that you have a day of self-care and relaxing and have time for you xx

Positivity2019 · 31/05/2020 18:42

@Missgoldilocks I’m sorry to hear that, it’s so disappointing!!
Unfortunately I am bleeding today, some clots, cramping so I think I am miscarrying. I’ve been crying most of the day on and off. Been in bed all day with my book. Plan to call the midwife unit tomorrow but I just can’t face it today.

Missgoldilocks · 31/05/2020 19:10

@Positivity2019 I am so so sorry 😔🤗 that is just awful, I don't know you in real life but from our time on here I feel as if you're a friend and it hurts to hear that. What's crazy is that a lot of the lady's I know who have gotten pregnant have miscarried recently, I don't know what is going on but it is just too sad 😔 please take care of yourself my lovely xxx

Missgoldilocks · 31/05/2020 19:11

@florarenniemackintosh thank you xx how are you going with it all?

Wearenotyourkind · 31/05/2020 19:27

Aw man, sorry @Missgoldilocks we all feel your pain. Onto the next cycle 💗

@Positivity2019 I am so sorry to hear you're bleeding. When I first rang the EPU the midwife told me it didn't definitely mean the worst and that woman can bleed for many different reasons. But obviously I absolutely understand how you're feeling right now. Good idea to ring the midwife unit tomorrow. Keep an eye on how many pads you're filling as they'll probably ask you. There's lots of us on here to support you if it is a miscarriage. I started a thread, which I can link to if appropriate.

Well I'm still playing the waiting game. Feel like my life is on hold as can't move on either physically or emotionally. The midwife is ringing me on Wednesday and I think if no progress, I'll pursue medical management.

jx0x0 · 01/06/2020 09:32

@Positivity2019 Sending you love. I am so sorry to hear this. Praying that everything is ok.

@florarenniemackintosh Welcome! I am 34 and have been trying for baby 1 since last June. It certainly has been a lot harder than I anticipated. It's nice to have support of other women in similar position.

@Missgoldilocks Sorry to hear about AF. Hoping next cycle is your lucky one!

Love to all xxx
