Anyone starting their TTC journey in July 2019?

Anyone in the same boat? I'm 33 and from next week DH and I will be actively trying for #1. I'm excited, nervous, trying to be chill about it all but also imagining myself with a bump celebrating Xmas this year

I started taking SS 'trying for a baby' supplements 4 weeks ago, not sure if it was their effects or not but this month my cycle was 20 days. Otherwise i'm 27 days always. Anyways, let's see what happens.

Hi all how are you? Anyone in the 2ww? I had my scan today which was a nice experience definitely the best one I’ve had! All looked good. Nuchal food measurement was 1.8 which is good apparently so well happy. Just waiting for the letter (1week) now and Iona test result phone call.

So I am currently CD32 and ovulated on CD24...so am in the TWW but also late for predicted AF! Not tested yet as only 7DPO today. Not quite sure what's happening, whether it's a longer cycle or what!

@Wakemeupwithcoffee glad it went well and fx for the other tests 😁🤗. Yup I'm in the 2ww, around 4-5dpo nothing happening except my impatience at it all.

No need to test...AF showed up this morning 😫 do I need to be worried about the short time in this cycle between ovulation and AF? I guess it's prob still my cycle sorting itself out since coming off the pill.

@Wearenotyourkind I'm sorry 🤗 it's so bloody shit I know! Maybe talk to your doctor about your cycles? I'm still in the 2ww, no symptoms.

@Wearenotyourkind I would def go to the gp if I was you (but up to you!) I had a friend who was concerned about long cycles I think it was and she was sent to have her ovaries scanned and had a blood test at a couple of time points in the month just to see what was happening. All was ok and she did get pregnant. Even if it’s just for some reassurance it might help. If there is something going on they may be able to give you meds.

Thanks for the replies guys. It really helps to share this crazy journey. I think I'll see how the next cycle goes and will then see the GP if it's similar. Now just want to get this bloody AF over with to start all over again! 🤞🏻@Ellsbells112

@Wearenotyourkind have you heard of agnus castus? It helps with cycles, I actually bought some because it helps with pms too but I'm gonna start it if I'm not pregnant this time.

Can I just vent please because 😤 now I'm super happy for her dont get me wrong! But this girl has been talking about how frustrating this is and her symptoms etc and how she cant wait anymore and ohh my cervix is low blah blah basically which is fine its how we get! But I thought she had been trying for ages the way shes going on...turns out it's her first month and she got a positive at 8dpo

Hey Wakemeupwithcoffee we had already told most people close to us after our NHS scan, figured whatever happened we were content enough after seeing the baby from that one to start making it known. Thanks for your kind enquiry however!

I have a UTI at the moment - didn't manifest itself in the 'normal' way at all - thought I had the flu over the last couple of days, then had a call from GP to say my last urine sample shows an infection. So I'm on abx for the next 7 days however looking forward to feeling less shite.

Argh I'm so sorry for the guys who have seen AF turn up in the last few days - keep the faith and be kind to yourselves over the weekend. Has anyone looked into (or had) a Maya abdominal massage? When we were thinking of TTC I remember seeing this come up when I was deep in a Google rabbit hole one day.

Ellsbells112 That sounds super frustrating to hear! Annoying as it is - becoming pregnant is not dependent on how "hard" we try. I will say - don't keep your feelings a secret if they start to really fester/become more intense. Talk to someone who will understand. My best friend has had fertility issues for 2+ years, she and her husband have such a loving home to give a little one and its been hard to see. I can't deny that when I see people banging out 3 kids in 3 years I wonder why they can't just have some good news.

@TurquoiseKiss yes indeed. It's just crazy and some things dont seem to be very fair. I hope your uti clears up soon ! I will also look into the massage. This month is extra hard, I think because it's the last chance of having a July baby and I really want one in July as my OH bday is in july too. I mean I'm not out yet but I just feel blah if you know what I mean. Fingers crossed anyway x

Thanks for your comments guys, I’m feeling so low and worried but I think I’ve a wee plan in my head. Seeing how this new cycle pans out and if it’s another short one then I’ll be making a doc app. I’ve been logging down everything that’s been happening the past few weeks and I’ll keep doing that so I feel I’ve lots of info to bring with me to a doc app. AF did in fact show herself on the Saturday and I'm just through it so back to OPK and hoping. Today which is CD6 I had a flashing smiley test so I’m thinking this may be another short cycle.
@TurquoiseKiss your comments really reassured me, I’ve bought some Pregnacare Conception vitamins and I’ll look into getting B6, see if that helps.
@Ellsbells112 I can see how that would get irritating fast. Given how I’m feeling at the moment I would’ve definitely told her to wind her neck in 😂 so you’ve more patience than I. Keep up the positive vibes, I have faith it’ll be all of our days someday!

@Positvity2019 I'm telling you, I'm totally ignoring her comments now because I literally just cant lol. I've felt really low these past two days too, it's hard not to! I've only been actually trying for 3 months but I came off contraception in april hoping it might just happen. I can only imagine for others who have tried even longer (which adds to my frustration at that girl who is talking to others who have been trying for a long time and a lot older than her!!)

Anyway, defo give the agnus castus, I've heard it helps people with shorter/longer cycles! So worth a try and not expensive. I'm Also looking into a tea called ladies mantle...I'll try anything her all cant hurt! Lol

I'm 5-6dpo now...dunno how I feel. Had loads of acne come up yesterday and light cramps since yesterday that have seemed to calm down, I think they may have been to do with my bowels though as I've been switching from constipated to tmi diarrhea! Already just want to know so I can try again if need be. Let us know how it goes with doc xx

@TurquoiseKiss how did they pick up your uti? Was it that extra sample they requested?

I had good news yesterday. I hadn’t had my phone call so I rang them and the results were in. 1 in a million for all conditions so relieved. Now just waiting for the nhs results as they said they do look at a couple of different things but low risk will be a letter in a week and high risk would be a phone call within a couple of days. So think I’ll tell my line manager mid week when I next see her if no phone call and the kids next weekend so they have time to process and ask questions. Then can start telling others. Hope the kids are happy!

Little update over here, I'm 7dpo just abouts no obvious symptoms. The only thing is after ovulation I'm normally quite watery cm not really creamy, anyway, this month I was dry up till today and I have been having thick creamy cm, not usual for me but could be another trick! Also, since last night I can smell metal on me!!?? Like down there? OH can smell it too but therea no blood so I'm absolutely baffled at what that could be? I don't think it's a symptom 🤷‍♀️

Hi all, first time member/poster here! Read through all this thread. I’m currently in the TWW, second month TTC number 3, slightly nervous as I’m 36.5 now, I have 2 DD and both were conceived second month using CBD. According to them I showed peak fertility on 4th, DTD on 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th phew this is exhausting! AF due on Sunday so what feels like an age to wait. Had lower back pain a couple of days ago and some cramping today but not sure if that’s just me usually??!

Yes I know what you mean, I'm due on saturday and right now I'm having cramps...hoping it means something but also reminding myself I get crap before my period is due!! 😐 the 2ww is a bastard
If I dont catch this month I will be getting the CBD and give them a go!

@Ellsbells112 I know exactly what you mean with the length of time trying, we came off the pill end of May and gave it a few months for things to regulate before trying so it’s only been maybe five cycles for us. I have moments where I tell myself to wind my neck in, that some people have been trying much longer. But we all want it so much that every failed month is just a kick in the teeth isn’t it.
Hope you get some good news this cycle, metallic taste is a good symptom!!

Right now I’m three days flashing smiley using clear blue OPK and I’m on day 8 of my cycle so that LH surge could be any day. Needless to say we DTD daily 😂

@positivity2019 no I don't mean metallic taste I mean I can smell iron smell downstairs! My lady parts lol...its stopped today though, maybe it's the extra vitamins? Who knows.
Yes it is, I swear every month it gets harder! Also, I swear I heard that pregnacare can make your period come late, just something to keep in mind the first few months taking it, you could get your hopes up so thought I'd say so you're ready if it does x
I hope you get good news too! I'm 8dpo now, no real symptoms honestly. I have been getting cramps today as if my period is going to come but I'm due on Saturday (pretty normal for me to cramp prior though) xx

More crampy pains today, plus I feel like I’m getting a bit of a water infection why is the tww soooo long! When is everyone due AF or to test? I bought 4 tests last month and used them all! Holding off until a week today if I can wait that long......! Any strange symptoms??’

@AAJJ83 heya no strange symptoms here, had cramps yesterday not too bad though. I'm 9dpo today, nothing really to report! Im due on saturday so wont be testing till then, cant stand seeing bfn x

@Ellsbells112 oh right 😂 I was all confused. Well who knows, metallic smell in your downstairs may signal this is your month! Keep us posted though of course. Thanks for the advice on the Pregnacare. I’m hopeful it lengthens my cycle a little but knowing my luck it’ll go to the extreme the other way and I’ll be raging.
@AAJJ83 I’m not due for testing until about the 28/29 Nov, however that would be a 26day cycle and last month I was only 18 days and the one before 24 and the one before 27 so I’m all over the place. I’ve got about 6 pregnancy tests in my cupboard and not needed one since my first cycle. Good luck for Saturday!!!

@Positivity2019 ahh hopefully your cycle will settled down. I’m convinced af is coming, cramping again today, I was really bloated yesterday too. This symptom spotting is driving me insane! I swear I’m making some up! Never focused so closely on my body haha! I think I’m going to order some pg tests in vain hope...oh and I miss calculated af isn’t due until Sunday so 1 more day to wait...
