Anyone in the same boat? I'm 33 and from next week DH and I will be actively trying for #1. I'm excited, nervous, trying to be chill about it all but also imagining myself with a bump celebrating Xmas this year Grin

I started taking SS 'trying for a baby' supplements 4 weeks ago, not sure if it was their effects or not but this month my cycle was 20 days. Otherwise i'm 27 days always. Anyways, let's see what happens.

Hoping to find some pals in a similar place at the moment on here!

@Wearenotyourkind oh sounds interesting! Maybe late ovulation?? Will you DTD?
I'm cd10 nothing to report yet, I bought some preseed to see if it helps the swimmers at all lol meh shrug every little helps

Missdrifter · 28/10/2019 19:52

Hi ladies, I haven’t been on here for a while but just been catching up on the thread. It’s great to see that some of you have had positives, that’s so exciting. I am in my fertile window now of cycle 4 (I think but could be 5) I am starting to feel like it’s never going to happen now and just wondering if anyone has tips on how to keep positive especially when AF arrives.

Good luck to everyone this month xx

Wearenotyourkind · 28/10/2019 19:58

Nice to hear from you @Missdrifter no tips, I'm afraid, but just know that you're not alone. What are you already doing? OPKS? Temping? SMEP? Pre seed? Sending lots of luck.

I'm just too bloody tired to DTD tonight @Ellsbells112 🤦🏻‍♀️ how was your trip?

Ellsbells112 · 28/10/2019 20:11

@Wearenotyourkind just get him to finish quickly 🤣😁 trip was amazing thanks food and wine was just superb!

@missdrifter it really is frustrating and I'm starting to get really sulky lol. No tips I'm afraid, maybe just try and keep busy in the tww dont symptom spot because it makes it worse? But I know how hard it is not to so 🤷‍♀️ good luck! I'm fertile from wednesday so fingers crossed

Missdrifter · 28/10/2019 20:13

Thanks @Wearenotyourkind! I am using the OPKS and have some Pre seed to use this month. We are both on half term this wee, so going to try and DTD at least every other day and then when I get a static smiley will do it for 2/3 days running. Think that’s similar to the SMEP? What cycle are you on now? Fingers crossed we get good news soon xx

Missdrifter · 28/10/2019 20:15

Thank you @Ellsbells112 I can’t help but get really sulky too when AF arrives but you are right it’s good to keep busy, so I might get a few things planned to take mind off it xx

Wearenotyourkind · 28/10/2019 20:16

I'm on either cycle #3 or 4, I think. As I've had difficulty working out when I'm ovulating, I think I'm gonna starting temping next month too. I might also think about Clear Blue OPKs as I've heard they are more straight forward to use than ICs. Hang in there!

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 28/10/2019 20:41

@Missdrifter nice to hear from you! Sorry to hear no luck yet. I was also wondering how @dropthemic was getting on? @Wearenotyourkind maybe try to fit DTD in in the morning?!

Ellsbells112 · 28/10/2019 20:51

@Wearenotyourkind yeah I'm on cycle 3 too. Going back to what you said before, did you already have symptoms of ovulation this month? Prior to this?

@Missdrifter yeah try, I get to like a week before my period is due and just google everything, I'm so sick of it hah xx

Wearenotyourkind · 29/10/2019 20:24

I finally got a positive OPK at CD24 🙌🏻

Missdrifter · 29/10/2019 20:52

@Wearenotyourkind yay better late than never. I do recommend the clear blue ones, they are expensive but I have found them to be very clear. Since using them I worked out that I had missed a cycle before by assuming I was ovulating earlier than I actually was.

TurquoiseKiss · 01/11/2019 15:21

Hi everyone, hope you're all doing a fine. A little update from this OG.

We went ahead and had a Harmony done earlier this week, the scan done before the bloods showed everything to be looking as it should. No results yet, hoping its a good sign as we were told: call within 5 days if something comes up that needs to be discussed, email within 10 days if all is low risk. Opted not to find out the sex.

Feeling pretty good, my abdominal muscles (if I can call them that!) are starting to very lightly ache - so someone is definitely growing by the day.

Upcoming appointments: 16-week with community midwives (no date sent yet) and 20-week scan in mid-December.

Wishing everyone a nice weekend x

Nice to hear your update @TurquoiseKiss glad all going ok. I have a bit of an update too. I went for an Iona test yesterday and when I got there they said I should have been told I couldn’t have it done without having a scan first to check I was over 10 weeks plus check whether more than one in there! I was really cross as it had been difficult to organise with my husband having the kids on his lunch break from work. So they asked the sonographer to give me a dating scan and check only one which was great as wasn’t expecting that! So got to see the little one all good heart beating and just one! So blood has gone off for the test. Should hear by next Friday. Feeling more positive and less anxious. Hope everyone else ok.

Wearenotyourkind · 01/11/2019 20:05

Nice to hear you're both doing well @Wakemeupwithcoffee @TurquoiseKiss

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 01/11/2019 20:19

Still suffering with nausea and fatigue but hoping it will ease soon 🤞

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 02/11/2019 07:31

Forgot to say we asked to find out sex. This is a first for us but thought it might be good for preparing the kids etc.

Positivity2019 · 02/11/2019 18:49

Hi hi everybody, hope your all fine. Glad to hear things are going well @TurquoiseKiss and @Wakemeupwithcoffee.
I’ve been away visiting friends which was lovely and a great break. However, on the TTC front I’m feeling pretty low. My last cycle ended suddenly on day 24 and then this cycle I had a positive OPK on like day 7 then another two days later but in the middle of that I had a very light bleed which lasted about a day. Then I continued to feel crampy for a few days. No further positive OPKs and then today which is CD18 I’ve more very light bleed. It’s almost like EWCM but is reddish brown. So I’m feeling totally betrayed by my own body as to what the heck is going on. I’ve been googling it a lot and scaring myself. Early bleeds can mean low progesterone so a weak uterine lining which the egg won’t stick to and early ovulation can mean the egg is being released too early so isn’t viable anyway.
Needless to say I’m in a bit of a mess with my thoughts and my emotions and whether I’m blowing one Rocky cycle all out of proportion.

Han1213 · 02/11/2019 23:18

@Wakemeupwithcoffee when will you find out?
@Positivity2019 it’s a bloody minefield but try not to read into things too much. See how the rest of the cycle pans out and if needed book into the GP just to have a chat. Google can be the worst thing when you’re checking things.
We’re on pause this month as it could be the worse time with things going on (wedding to be at in July abroad). Sod’s law, I’ll end up pregnant! We are also not being careful about being careful do god knows what’ll happen! X

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 03/11/2019 07:31

I was going to ask how many cycles it had been @Positivity2019 and maybe see the gp after 6 months? Should hear by Friday @Han1213 they said it would be a phone call either way.

Ellsbells112 · 03/11/2019 12:19

Hey guys glad to hear everyone seems to be doing okay! @Wakemeupwithcoffee @Wearenotyourkind @TurquoiseKiss

@Positivity2019 hmm I mean I'm no expert but I've been researching ovulation pain etc and you can sometimes bleed with ovulation? Obviously you should go to your doctor and tell them what's been happening so you can investigate it.

I actually wanted some advice from you guys, I normally ovulate around cd14 cd15 and I am really regular. This month I had only a little EWCM on thursday which would have been cd13 it was like proper jelly lol tmi more than egg white? Anyway nothing since and I've been checking its just watery. Anyway normally I get ovulation pain just like an ache for 3 days or something, nothing like that this month just really quite crampy and aching in my back on the right side yesterday evening. So my question is, do you think the cramps and right side back ache was probably me ovulating yesterday? We DTD from cd13 up till late last night...hoping I caught 🥺😭🤞

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 04/11/2019 06:51

@Ellsbells112 I think it probably was ovulation but sounds like you should have caught it.

Looking forward to this week being over and knowing what’s going on! I’m also having my official dating and screening nhs scan this week. I had a day yesterday with barely any nausea and I managed to stay up til 10pm so I think I may be starting to feel better!

Ellsbells112 · 04/11/2019 08:46

@wakemeupwithcoffee
Woohoo! You are nearly through the sick stage!! God that stage is a lot isnt it? So glad everything is going good l, let us know your due date when you know! Xx

TurquoiseKiss · 05/11/2019 19:41

Hi Wakemeupwithcoffee that’s frustrating about the Iona test mix up but at least the blood is on its way to the lab which is the main thing. Let us know what the sex is when you hear! We got our blood results back on Friday (literally minutes after I last posted) via email, everything is in the normal range which is great.

Positivity2019 I had the same thing as you earlier this year, literally in the months leading up to us actively TTC-ing. It was worrying and frustrating. My period was coming roughly every 20 days, same as you I was concerned my luteal phase was too short for anything to stick. I started taking Vit B6 and then the following cycle got pregnant. No idea if this actually helped, would have only small amount of time to build up in my system however look into this if you haven’t already.

Ellsbells112 That definitely sounds like ovulation to me, also sounds like you’ve given yourself the best chance with DTD. Good luck!

That's great news about your test results! @TurquoiseKiss

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 05/11/2019 21:04

Ah that’s fab you must be so happy! Are you going to start telling friends/family/work now? Had a dreadful day yesterday feeling so sick and tired and useless at work, but then much better today!
