Anyone in the same boat? I'm 33 and from next week DH and I will be actively trying for #1. I'm excited, nervous, trying to be chill about it all but also imagining myself with a bump celebrating Xmas this year Grin

I started taking SS 'trying for a baby' supplements 4 weeks ago, not sure if it was their effects or not but this month my cycle was 20 days. Otherwise i'm 27 days always. Anyways, let's see what happens.

Hoping to find some pals in a similar place at the moment on here!

Keeping you in my thoughts PrincessConsuela12 at least you're under good medical care - hope the tests come back with positive results for you.

Hey Wearenotyourkind I'm doing fine thanks, Monday I felt really wiped out - but actually think it was more to do with the high UK temperatures which meant rubbish sleep the night before. Yesterday the same ache in my side but today nothing. On my lunch break I was actually Googling what a decline in symptoms could mean when you're between 4-5 weeks - apparently at this stage its normal for them to fluctuate. The only constant it that my nipples are permanently erect! How are you doing?

It's not just me, right?! Grin

AlmostAlwyn · 29/08/2019 06:31

Sorry to hear about AF, @Positivity2019, and that you were so upset. The waiting is horrible! Hope you enjoy your weekend away and relax Flowers

Please don't worry about changes in symptoms, @TurquoiseKiss. It's got no bearing on how your pregnancy is progressing at all, so try not to stress! Smile

Wearenotyourkind · 29/08/2019 07:04

@AlmostAlwyn definitely not just you, I see it!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 29/08/2019 07:17

That looks promising to me @AlmostAlwyn!

AlmostAlwyn · 29/08/2019 07:24

Thanks! Schwanger has quite a ring to it doesn't it Grin

Harty89 · 29/08/2019 08:55

Looks like schwanger to me @AlmostAlwyn congratulations!

Wearenotyourkind · 29/08/2019 09:10

Schwanger 😂

Missdrifter · 29/08/2019 14:09

@AlmostAlwyn it’s not just you, we can all see it! Huge congratulations to and everyone else with a BFP this month.

I am getting really frustrated because my Flo app says that I am two days before ovulation but still not getting any positives on the ovulation tests. Still been DTD most nights though but now starting to think that might go against our chances.. I think I am just over thinking things.

Good luck to everyone in their fertile window and hopefully September will be lucky for us!!

AlmostAlwyn · 29/08/2019 14:17

Thanks very much! Smile

@Missdrifter have you been tracking your cervical mucus? I didn't bother with ovulation tests this time around (and got pregnant after I gave them up last time too!). I found cervical mucous to be quite a reliable indicator (and free!). But if you're DTD (say) every other day according to your fertile window in Flo, then things should be happening at the right time regardless of ovulation tests. What do you think? Are they just stressing you out?

Missdrifter · 29/08/2019 15:48

@AlmostAlwyn I have been trying to track cervical mucous so I might just try and forget the ovulation sticks and see how we get on without them. I am finding the whole process abit stressful but going to try and relax more

Positivity2019 · 29/08/2019 20:14

Congratulations @AlmostAlwyn what great news!!

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 29/08/2019 21:08

@PrincessConsuela12 any news? Hope you’re okay.

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 29/08/2019 21:14

Another negative OPK today despite ewcm yesterday. OH not up for it tonight as not feeling well and he’s going out tomorrow night then we are away for the weekend (there won’t be any opportunity) and then my fertile period will be over so feel a tad stressed!

@Wakemeupwithcoffee Sorry my previous message was for you!!

Thank you for asking 😊 My levels have more than doubled so things are looking good, I have another scan on Monday to double check the location, I can hopefully relax after that. I think my dates have been pushed back though so I'm not even 5 weeks, it's going to be a long 7 weeks. No awful symptoms but I am just so tired.

How is everything going with you? X

PrincessConsuela12 · 29/08/2019 21:40

Thank you @TurquoiseKiss it's much appreciated xx

@AlmostAlwyn Congratulations! Definitely a line!!! 💐💐

AlmostAlwyn · 29/08/2019 21:52

Thanks @PrincessConsuela12! I was just about to post owning up to not enquiring about you Smile Glad things are looking like they're going well. Fingers crossed for Monday!

Maybe this video might help those using ovulation tests? I don't think I ever really understood what I was looking at - part of the reason why stopped using them!

PrincessConsuela12 · 29/08/2019 21:57

@AlmostAlwyn Sorry 😂 I saw your message below showing the BFP so had your name in my head 🤦🏽‍♀️ how are you feeling?? Have you managed to think of anything else? X

AlmostAlwyn · 29/08/2019 22:11

@PrincessConsuela12 No worries Grin

Feeling alright thanks! Just a usual level of tiredness from having a toddler... It's still quite surreal because nothing has changed really! My husband left yesterday for a trip and he'll be back on Monday. I sent him the picture though and he said "oh well, next time". Umm look properly! Grin

They usually do the first scan from 8 weeks here, so I'll have to wait until next month to see if everything is as it should be!

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 29/08/2019 22:11

I can’t seem to view the vid - am intrigued what is the gist of it??

Ah great am really pleased for you 😊

AlmostAlwyn · 29/08/2019 22:17

Ugh maybe I didn't do the link correctly. Anyway, if you google Alex Congelliere and "ovulation tests - are you reading them right?" should find you the video! She just talks about what they show, how to read them, when the best time to do them is, etc. Hope it helps a bit!

I'll try the link again

PrincessConsuela12 · 29/08/2019 22:20

@AlmostAlwyn When I read it at first I thought you said your husband had left you 😯😯

As it stands I barely have the energy to look after myself in the evening so I take my hat off to anyone who have DC to look after.

I only had the early scan due to my ectopic although we're thinking of having one at 8 weeks on DH Birthday

AlmostAlwyn · 29/08/2019 23:02

Haha! Well I hope it's just for the weekend, even though it is for cycling Wink

I don't live in the UK (if you guessed from the schwanger earlier Grin), and scans are more or less once a month then once a week in the last month. Seems rather different to just the 12 and 20 week scans in the UK! Nice to see baby regularly though, and my gynaecologist has a 3D scanner!

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 30/08/2019 07:33

Sounds like good care where you are @AlmostAlwyn! Are you doing another test today? Thanks for vid I’ll try looking on the computer. Not too impressed with my new OPKs you have to wee in a container and dip it! That’s gonna me no good over the weekend when I’m out and about and at peoples houses.

Managed to DTD this morning right before my DD came in! No chance for legs up this time.

@PrincessConsuela12 will you pay for the 8 week scan? If so do you know how much it will cost and how you go about arranging it?
