Anyone in the same boat? I'm 33 and from next week DH and I will be actively trying for #1. I'm excited, nervous, trying to be chill about it all but also imagining myself with a bump celebrating Xmas this year Grin

I started taking SS 'trying for a baby' supplements 4 weeks ago, not sure if it was their effects or not but this month my cycle was 20 days. Otherwise i'm 27 days always. Anyways, let's see what happens.

Hoping to find some pals in a similar place at the moment on here!

@PrincessConsuela12 I have everything crossed for you.

@Absa here's to round 3! I did another OPK yesterday and still not quite dark enough. But DTD anyway! Will do another one later and for a definite positive. But as I said, the app predictions for ovulation are currently only based on the one period I've had so far and using an average 28 day cycle. So if this month isn't the one, at least I'll gather more data for more accurate predictions in future.

TurquoiseKiss · 27/08/2019 12:55

I'll be thinking of you PrincessConsuela12! Can I ask if there's a reason beyond peace of mind you are having an early scan and bloods? Really sorry if you mentioned earlier on in this thread and I've missed it. I think I'm 4 weeks + 3 days today. I called GP this morning and have my booking in appointment in mid-Sept.

Good luck to everyone approaching their fertile period! Absa your upcoming holiday in Oct will be just what you need - you may even be departing with a BFP already in the bag!

dropthemic - sorry to hear about the coeliac diagnosis, see if you can find any people in a similar TTC boat or just listening ears on here www.mumsnet.com/Talk/allergies

We go on holiday to South Asia (Zika and malaria-free destination) tomorrow for 15 nights. I'm sure I'll be fine, going to try and eat tomato/veg-based dishes rather than meat/cream-based; and obviously keep myself super hydrated and sprayed with DEET anyways. Any other tips appreciated!

@Wearenotyourkind Thank you!

@TurquoiseKiss I had an ectopic in December so they wanted me to go in as soon as I had my BFP to make sure everything is growing in the right thing place. Your booking appointment will soon come around, how exciting! What was your EDD?

I had a quick read up on things & 2mm seems to be about right so I'm hoping all is well.

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 27/08/2019 17:11

Hope all well @PrincessConsuela12 fingers crossed for you

AlmostAlwyn · 27/08/2019 18:10

Fingers crossed for you @PrincessConsuela12!

Feeling a bit crampy today but not sure if I'm just overthinking little twinges. I mean, could just be a dodgy tummy right? Grin Should be approximately 9 DPO today (according to Flo, I didn't do ovulation tests), so I guess that's a bit early to test? I just don't normally get crampy like this unless my period is starting (and even then, sometimes I feel nothing at all until I see blood. After my son was born, period pain dialled down to 1 or 2 max. Maybe my body was like, "Well, I've dealt with labour pains so why bother with period pains?" Grin)

Anyway, enjoy your holiday @TurquoiseKiss! I'm sure you'll have a great time recharging your batteries in the sun!

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 27/08/2019 20:18

Good luck @AlmostAlwyn. I would wait a few days! I’ve done an OPK today which was negative.

PrincessConsuela12 · 27/08/2019 21:18

Thank you @Wakemeupwithcoffee

@AlmostAlwyn Thank you. Sounds promising! How many DPO will you test?

Wearenotyourkind · 27/08/2019 21:18

My OPK was negative again tonight, but have DTD just in case Grin

Han1213 · 28/08/2019 00:06

Lovely reading all the good news!! Congratulations to everyone with BFPs!
Good luck to everyone still trying. I’ve had a period after 100 + dats so all going in the right direction x

AlmostAlwyn · 28/08/2019 11:06

Well, I did a test this morning (10 DPO according to Flo app) and it was negative, but when I looked at it just now there could be a line? It's vanishingly faint, but it could be there! I read you're not supposed to look after too long though, does anyone know if that's right? Guess I'll just have to try another one tomorrow!

Hayley94 · 28/08/2019 11:10

Just took my last pill 4 days so we are actively trying now 🙂

Haven't had withdrawal bleed as yet, but having fun while trying!

Good luck x

AlmostAlwyn · 28/08/2019 11:23

@Han1213 Wow! Great your period has arrived finally! Are you still in pain? Did you have an ovarian cyst after all?

Wearenotyourkind · 28/08/2019 17:41

Welcome @Hayley94!

Great news your AF @Han1213 at least this is progress!

Wearenotyourkind · 28/08/2019 17:42

@AlmostAlwyn good luck for the test tomorrow 🤞🏻

Positivity2019 · 28/08/2019 20:26

Hi everyone, hope you’re all fine and keeping positive. Congratulations @PrincessConsuela12, hope your early scan goes well.
I was smacked in the face on Monday when AF arrived four days early. To say I was gutted was an understatement, I cried all over my partner. However, I’m feeling like it’s a new cycle new chance so onto the next one. Plus my amazing partner has booked for us to go away this weekend which is amazing and will be a fine break.

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 28/08/2019 20:29

@PrincessConsuela12 is it your scan tomorrow? Let us know how it goes
@Han1213 that’s good!
Good luck @AlmostAlwyn

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 28/08/2019 20:30

Now in fertile period according to Ovia. Faint line on OPK. Bought more today. Headaches have finally stopped! DTD! 😊

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 28/08/2019 20:31

Done not doing, wouldn’t type at the same time! 🤣

Wearenotyourkind · 28/08/2019 21:10

Multi tasking @Wakemeupwithcoffee Wink

Wearenotyourkind · 28/08/2019 21:11

Sorry to hear about AF @Positivity2019 but enjoy your time away and your lovely partner and here's to next month Smile

TurquoiseKiss · 28/08/2019 21:27

Best of luck for this cycle Wakemeupwithcoffee ! No idea if this makes a huge amount of difference but I watched a TTC journey YouTube video (had no idea so many people documented this!) and noticed quite a few said that after DTD had finished they stayed lying down for up to 1 hour the month they ended up with a BFP. Just relaxing as much as possible and, well, letting nothing drip out I guess!

Oh Positivity2019 sorry to hear seeing AF made you upset - sounds like you have a gem of a partner there though booking a weekend away for you guys. Relax as much as possible and enjoy yourselves. There seem to be a lot of positive stories of BFP's during a break away from home. Fingers x for you.

Sending lots of good vibes to all on this thread Star Star Star

Sorry I missed your post @Positivity2019 so sorry you’ve been upset. So difficult but you will get there! Enjoy your weekend away.

Funny you should say that as I put my legs up on the wall tonight for 10 mins or so afterwards which I remember doing the month I got pregnant with #1 😆

Wearenotyourkind · 28/08/2019 21:36

How are you doing @TurquoiseKiss ?

PrincessConsuela12 · 28/08/2019 22:07

@Positivity2019 & @Wakemeupwithcoffee Thank you both. I have my second blood test tomorrow & I'll ring them in the afternoon to see if my levels are increasing. I've been spotting a little today so I'm really stressed but hoping it's due to the internal I had yesterday... the worry never seems to stop!

Positivity2019 · 28/08/2019 22:24

Thanks everyone, feeling much better and ready to try again this month. Hope the elevated legs work for you @Wakemeupwithcoffee.
