Conception and ovulation straight after chemical pregnancy

Hi all,
New to this board ☺️
I’m 32 and myself and DH are trying for number 2 (we have an almost 3YO DD). We just had a chemical pregnancy - AF was due May 18th, already faint pregnancy test lines got fainter on May 19th and disappeared completely on 20th. Started bleeding May 20th and now on a very heavy AF.

We are emotionally ready to just got for it again, my question is have any of you positive experience of getting right after an early Chemical pregnancy and if so did you find you ovulated earlier/later.

For example, I ovulate exactly 14 days after my period starts. As my period was technically 3 days late, do I assume I will just ovulate 14 days after this bleed started? Or do I count 14 days after period was actually due?

Heya All. How’s everyone doing?
Im on cycle day 24 and although I know these OPKs are negative they are still the strongest lines I have had all cycle! Could I still be waiting on ovulation?!
Past 2 months before were earlier & cm doesn’t suggest ov. I know you can still get lines during the month, just strange that I have almost completely white lines up until now and now a bit of a line!!

Ok scrap that, have just started bleeding slightly, not due until weds & no symptoms but oh well....onto the next cycle I guess.

🤨 I don't know tbh @MountAbora. If they are the strongest lines you've had all cycle then perhaps you haven't actually ovulated and are having a annovulatory cycle (feel like I've got that wrong/spelt it wrong). Very frustrating. Has the bleeding become full af or just spotting?

My OPKs have been messed up this month too as while I've had a positive I have had a slight line most days throughout the cycle, which is unusual for me as before this month I'd have stark whiteness everyday and then a positive, before back to stark whiteness

I'm 4dpo now I think, clear temp rise this morning to much higher than previous days. Don't feel anything different at all though (except nipples have died down thank god 😂). Had a terrible nights sleep last night but only because dh went out on a bender (very unusual for him so I definitely saw the funny side) and didn't roll in until 1am absolutely steaming and spouting nonsense. Before flopping onto bed and snoring very loudly the rest of the night. Not sure that's a pregnancy symptom though...

@MountAbora how often have you been testing? Are you tracking temp or anything else?

Are your cycles normally irregular? Is it like normal af bleeding?

Yeah I think you might be right @satsumasaturday I’m don’t think Iv ovulated this month. Hopefully just my body being a bit confused after the cp and it will be back to normal this cycle.

@Abi58 I came off the mini pill at the beginning of March & cycles have been 25-28 days since then, was pretty regular before going on the pill 3 years ago. Don’t temp but keep an eye on cm & what the rest of my body is doing!

I'm 6dpo now, I ordered some frer which arrived yesterday but I'm going to ask dh to hide them from me until next weekend. I have some ICs to waste in the meantime if I really want to pee on something

@MountAbora DHs head hurt a lot. He has been very sheepish since 😂 Did AF arrive in full force in the end for you or are you still in limbo?

AF arrived properly yesterday @satsumasaturday AF arrived yesterday properly tho still with less cramping & mood swings (I can be a right cow for a day or so!) than usual. I’m just impatient for it to be over & to get on with the next cycle now!
Sounds like a good plan to get DH to hide your frers as the struggle is real not to use them!!

@MountAbora sorry to hear that, but in a way at least now you can draw a line under that seemed like a bit of a messed up cycle and get onto the next.

I feel like I'm getting odd twinges in my boobs this morning. I think in my head, but I remember last month being woken up by a stabbing pain in my boob and then that morning I got my bfp. So obviously I reading into it far too much. Everyone usually says their boobs "ache" though, which mine don't. But then most people also don't describe sensitive nipples at ovulation like me either 😂

Temping is a bit obsessive (tbh I'd be the same if I didn't but more frustrated I had no idea what was happening 🙈)

It's going slowly. May have caved and tested way too early. Convinced it's a bfn but I can see a little something but don't think it has colour. Last month tested now at 8dpo and was bfn didn't get pos TIL 10dpo so not out but a bit deflated.

How are you doing? Boobs sound positive! Last month my nipples (only nipples) felt like I'd left them out in the sun in the desert 😂 boobs themselves were fine. Bit upset my nipples are fine as making me think I'm out this month! I also get sore nipples around ov (didn't this month though🤷🏻‍♀️) also has it for about 3 weeks after I stopped the pill 🙈

My fingers are crossed for the pair of you for BFPs this month, keep me updated! It’s so easy to read into things but it’s sounds like you both have good signs 🤞 x

@Abi58 boobs do sound positive - but as I'm only 6dpo I know it's in my head! Your early test sounds tentatively good - assuming you'll probably be taking another in the morning post a pic if there's a hint of a line - I love a good line eyes post! 😂

@satsumasaturday from 7dpo last month my nipples were so painful! So 🤞🏻
Hahai thoughy i did bit now I think I just imagined it. Last month at 7dpo I did an ic that I could almost see a shadow on and when I shone a light behind there was a line (perfectly where it should be) and then 3 days later I got my bfp.
Same again this morning (did a few after cp to check hcg was gone and no matter how long I left it there was no line with or without light) so hopeful but we will have to wait and see.
Frer though I could see a shadow line but now I can't see it 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Even if in the next few days I did get a positive I know I'll just be worried and not be able to enjoy it but. Ow I can't wait so I'm setting myself up to be tortured 🤦🏻‍♀️🙈

I'm 7dpo today, first day back at work (hoorah!) and I needed to pee a LOT - like every hour for about 6 hours, I was worried i had a uti or something coming which would be the last thing I need! But seems to have stopped since about 4pm which is good - I'm slow moving still so it was getting a bit awkward how often I was getting up 😂 No boob pains at all though today so I think I was imagining that one yesterday

Hope you guys don't mind me jumping in so late in the thread! I've been lurking - I had a chemical last month and am now just entering my TWW after lots and lots of dtd. Making me happy reading the BFPs on this thread. Fingers crossed you get some more!

I'm so so worried it won't stick again but I'm hoping for the best. Just done an ic with afternoon wee not strong looking and I think it's stronger than this mornings line so 🤞🏻

@Abi58 positive that you've got a bfp still from afternoon wee. I've just dug out my new batch of ICs, will try to resist in the morning but no guarantees.... my only hope in the mornings is I forget and then it's too late

@satsumasaturday I think I might be ovulating today actually. I got a static smiley yesterday on my opk and have some twinges today. But I'm never really sure (I don't take temp)

Part of me is happy because at least I know I can get a bfp but another part of me is so worried it won't happen again! Trying to stay optimistic about the whole thing though!

@Abi58 Congratulations! I saw your other thread. So exciting!!

I need you ladies to talk some sense into me, because as you know I got af on fri, however my DP has somehow convinced me to do a pg test today because he thinks I might be.... I’m 99% sure I’m not. My af was about 5/6 days early & I didn’t have any normal symptoms but the bleeding was the same, iv been much tireder than usual, hungrier & needing to pee more often, but all these could be explained by other things & then today (2 days after af properly stopped) I got some spotting, sorry if tmi, not red but brownish blood when I wiped. So I took a test just to proof I wasn’t but now Im convincing myself I see something very very faint. I now feel completely crazy so please feel free to tell me that there is nothing there!
I definitely see something in real life but it’s probs just evap. When I got my BFP for the cp I could definitely see the coloured line so I know what it should look like.....but still!
Sorry for the rambling, this ttc can drive you batty at times 😂
