Conception and ovulation straight after chemical pregnancy

Hi all,
New to this board ☺️
I’m 32 and myself and DH are trying for number 2 (we have an almost 3YO DD). We just had a chemical pregnancy - AF was due May 18th, already faint pregnancy test lines got fainter on May 19th and disappeared completely on 20th. Started bleeding May 20th and now on a very heavy AF.

We are emotionally ready to just got for it again, my question is have any of you positive experience of getting right after an early Chemical pregnancy and if so did you find you ovulated earlier/later.

For example, I ovulate exactly 14 days after my period starts. As my period was technically 3 days late, do I assume I will just ovulate 14 days after this bleed started? Or do I count 14 days after period was actually due?

Aw thanks everyone, due on today so just waiting but I just know in my gut it will arrive at some point! I’ll keep you posted though, it could be like @Whyhaveidonethis and just be a day or two late because of the CP last month so things are a bit out of whack.

Yes @MountAbora I think I'm in the TWW now, I just need to wait for my temperature to go up and then I'll stop doing the OPKs. My nipples are really tender which seems to happen for the few days around ovulation (anyone else get this??) which is a good sign

So sorry to hear AF arrived @Whyhaveidonethis - the holiday sounds like a great chance to catch it next month though 🤞

@LittleRedSocks it could be a couple of days out which is going to be so annoying, my ov was a day or 2 later which puts af back (who knows what she'll do though!) 🤞🏻 for you.

@satsumasaturday I had sore nipples last month (glad you said nipples everyone says boobs but mine was just the nipples like they were sunburnt and rubbing on my clothes 😩) nothing yet this month though ...hope I have ovulated 😩🤷🏻‍♀️

@Abi58 by ewcm I think I’m fairly sure of ov date but I think I’m not really going to know anything for a couple of days. If still no AF by Thursday I’ll test again! But just so afraid to get my hopes up even a little because I’m the past I was getting faint lines from about 9dpo. Last time I tested (12dpo) there was nothing so I’m just kind of certain I’m not based on that. Am exhausted and do have super sore boobs but those could easily be attributed to a whopper period coming up! X

@LittleRedSocks you never know you can be different so just because before you got a line then doesn't mean this one will. Would depend on implantation time as this could delay getting a bfp with hormone level still building 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 for you. I'm only 3dpo and keep going from IM definitely pregnant again this month to it's just not our month I'm out...how stupid is that, I have. O way of knowing, not even possibility of symptoms yet 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Aw I know @Abi58, the tww is just so rotten isn’t it? But definitely stay positive, you’ve every chance going for you that you might be! Symptom spotting is only natural and i think it’s our natural way of giving ourselves a little hope and trying to feel a bit better during the tww! When do you think you’ll start testing? Xx

It's really rubbish yes! 😩 made crueler that so many symptoms could be pg or pms - not fair!

I'm now 4dpo and been feeling sick last few days and cramps last night (hormones from ov - too early to be anything else) also have mini breakout but this happened last month and I thought I was out as people say your skin clears ups who knows! I'm keeping everything crossed 🤞🏻

The tww is rough, feeling for everyone in it.
I’m not sure if I’m in it or not, had thought I was probs 3dpo today but then I got a slight line on an OPK today (first hint of a line since Sunday) so will have to test again when I get home from work. If it’s positive does that mean my af will likely be later? It’s due a week today but I’m on cycle day 22!

Oh @mountabora that’s so frustrating! Though I think they say a hint of a line is not a positive when it comes to OPKs so it could just be a wee surge! So If day ur dates are still right and I wouldn’t worry too much! @Abi58 let’s hope the bad skin is a good sign for you! So no AF yet for me (and actually for me I usually get one or two massive big spots at the start of my period and no sign of them just yet). Alternating between clear and wet, clear and stretchy and then white lotiony CM and boobs still sore all the way to the armpit. I’m just still convinced AF is coming though, especially becuase @Whyhaveidonethis was a day late too so I reckon she’ll turn up at some point today xx

@MountAbora I'd keep testing with the OPKs - I think that in the TWW you do get faint lines, but not full surges. I think that's why you're meant to stop after the peak as it's confusing otherwise - not that I stop, it gives me something to wee on and I kid myself that they're not pregnancy tests when they show lines if you're pregnant.... I need to get back to work and off this sofa!!

If you do ovulate now rather than when you thought then AF will be later.

@Abi58 So pleased you also get sore nipples - I was thinking I was strange as my boobs don't get sore at all, just my nipples - it's so odd!

@TryingVeryHard2015 How are you getting on since your BFP? Any symptoms yet? 😊

I was hoping for a temperature rise this morning but I slept awfully because my leg brace thing was being more uncomfortable than usual. So I temped at 3am when I woke up, then again at 7am (but knowing I hadn't had my full 3 hours). The 7am was higher so I want to use that, but know I shouldn't. Based on nipples I think I'm 2DPO 😂

@MountAbora what cod are you now and what cd do you normally ovulate on?

Af is usually 14 days after ov so if later ov then yes

Sorry if I've asked this or you've said already but are you tracking anything that might confirm ov (temp or Cm?)

@MountAbora yes @LittleRedSocks is right ifnits not dark it might not mean anything, some women can have small amounts of oh in their system all the time which would always give a light line. Last month mine were negative white until right before ov...this month after cp they have ALL had a faint line on and not squinted faint just not as dark as the control.

@LittleRedSocks being a day or 2 later does seem like a trend after cp I'm expecting mine to be as I ovd 2 days later than I did last month. Thankfully temp spiked properly this morning with full sleep so I'm happy I ovulated!

I had 2 days of disturbed temps still rising but I had bad sleep and not enough or too early. Finally got to this morning and it's definitely Risen so 🤞🏻 for you (I've been so annoyed the last 2 days as I couldn't confirm it 😂)

Ok I caved and did a FRER...I kept thinking I could see something and put it down to line eyes so I opened it up and there is a really faint line...it has gotten darker over the last 30 mins (pink) so I’m still not sure what to think, will test again later or tomorrow xx

Don't want to get your hopes up but when I did one when I came of the pill before my first bleed I left it for days and still white white white 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

It feels impossible to get a good pic but attached here - it’s been in my pocket and has makeup on my hands from it so ignore how disgusting it looks!

@LittleRedSocks don't worry I put one last month on top of the cabinet and when I took it down it was covered in dust 😂😂😂

Becuase I have absolutely no self restraint, I’ll probably test this evening?! But deffo in the morning too. Still no sign of AF. I do feel though that even if that is a pink link, and even if I ov’d A day or two late, that it would still want to be a bit darker to be anything good....xx

That was second wee of the day, only picked up a test on a whim while out running errands. Sorry I’ve been all wrapped up in me 😂 That sounds like good news about your temps! Is the theory that they are meant to rise consistently throughout the month if you conceive? Xx

Haha don't worry it's an exciting time!! I think it's more they rise after ov and if it stays risen when you should have af it's a high chance you are. Just happy I definitely seem to have ovulated so I'm in with a chance. Had an odd Cm today though and google doesn't seem to be much help (symptom spotting already 😂😁😩)

I had a chemical last year (I had a miscarriage the month before that as well) and had a positive pregnancy test 6 weeks later!

@Abi58 I’m cycle day 22 and last month I had a positive OPK on cd 20 the month before it was cd 16. I haven’t had a positive this month yet even tho been temping at least twice a day I check my cm & had ewcm last week but it’s been more watery/ creamy since fri/ sat. I’m just a bit confused this month which is frustrating.

@Abi58 oh well fingers crossed they stay raised for you! When do you notice a dip usually (if you haven’t concieved)? That would be almost like an early pregnancy test!

I think you get ewcm then after ov it dries and goes more sticky. Yesterday mine was sticky but today (tmi) it's like a white ewcm which is odd!

@LittleRedSocks thank you 😁🤞🏻 I don't really know as last month was my first cycle and first month temping and I had the chemical. It did start to drop so though I was out, maybe that was a bad sign but it rose again then I bled so no idea 😂 🤞🏻
