Conception and ovulation straight after chemical pregnancy

Hi all,
New to this board ☺️
I’m 32 and myself and DH are trying for number 2 (we have an almost 3YO DD). We just had a chemical pregnancy - AF was due May 18th, already faint pregnancy test lines got fainter on May 19th and disappeared completely on 20th. Started bleeding May 20th and now on a very heavy AF.

We are emotionally ready to just got for it again, my question is have any of you positive experience of getting right after an early Chemical pregnancy and if so did you find you ovulated earlier/later.

For example, I ovulate exactly 14 days after my period starts. As my period was technically 3 days late, do I assume I will just ovulate 14 days after this bleed started? Or do I count 14 days after period was actually due?

Anyone who has just been through the same that wants to join me on this journey please do! X

@satsumasaturday 🤞🏻🤞🏻 😁 enjoy!

@LittleRedSocks you're not out yet! Eve if it's not try to stay positive there's a 25% chance in any month so sometimes it just doesn't happen, be kind to yourself.

@TryingVeryHard2015 ohhh I might have to get one been looking at them for a while (was tempted by Ava but with it sort of happening last month I thought maybe that's a lot of money).

TryingVeryHard2015 · 17/06/2019 08:35

@Abi58 - I'm a fitness freak so the rhr is a nice side benefit for me that I only started paying attention to the beginning of the year. The ava will take your bbt as well though so depends on overall "goals"and how quickly it happens.

So, I wasn't going to test today but woke up with super "fizzy" boobs (only way I can think to describe it). It is so much stronger than the line I got at 16dpo last month and I'm 14 dpo today. I'm obviously going to test again in a few days to see if it will gets darker.

Congratulations @TryingVeryHard2015!
Lovely news. Smile

satsumasaturday · 17/06/2019 08:51

Oh my goodness congratulations @TryingVeryHard2015! That's a good line for what looks like a cheap test? Fantastic news 😀😀😀

TryingVeryHard2015 · 17/06/2019 09:11

@satsumasaturday - it was a super drug test which have pretty good reviews. Didn't have a frer in. I do have a pack of digital tests but don't want to break it up out just yet. Maybe in a couple of days.

Now the nerve wracking time begins...

Whyhaveidonethis · 17/06/2019 09:29

Congratulations @TryingVeryHard2015

I'm 14dpo today and a BFN on a FRER, although I thought I saw a shadow on an IC last night. Think it was wishful thinking though. AF is a day late.

LittleRedSocks · 17/06/2019 09:43

Congratulations @TryingVeryHard2015 !! What fab news!!! Keep us posted with all your lovely progression tests! Xx

@whyhaveidonetgus you’re not out yet! Though as someone who is a day behind you, I know that phrase provides cold comfort!

How are all our ovulating/near ov ladies doing? Xx

Abi58 · 17/06/2019 10:31

@TryingVeryHard2015 congratulations! That's amazing news!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 for you!! If it isn't darker try not to worry and book in with dr for blood test as that will put your mind at rest. I had 2 different gps tell me that the line strength is more about the amount of dye in it and a line is a line. (I've seen people with ones that get darker as well so I have no idea but dr will be able to check for you)

@LittleRedSocks I think I ovulated the other day so the waiting is now on! Temps are strangely similar to last months now so 🤞🏻 (although I've had messed up slee so wasn't going to count them but when the plotter is exactly the same as last month it could be right so I'll have to wait until I have a day of good sleep and wake up at the right time 🤦🏻‍♀️
How are you doing?

LittleRedSocks · 17/06/2019 11:13

Oh @Abi58 fingers crossed for you! I’ve no idea about temping or RHR stuff I just go by CM but I’m guess that raised temps being same as last month is good xxx

OP posts:
Abi58 · 17/06/2019 11:24

@LittleRedSocks aw thank you 😁 same to you! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I feel like I've got obsessed but I do like knowing what my body is doing - started temping and checking Cm and opks when I came off the pill to try and give me an idea if I was on the right track (didn't want to get excited and waste money on tests if I hadn't evenovulated or had a proper af 😂🤦🏻‍♀️) then1st cycle was last month so I thought I'd carry it on as didn't know if my cycle this month would be affected.

I've attached the pic purple is this month and it was jagged at the start but looks to have settled down. POS opks a day later than last month but temps looking very similar now 🤷🏻‍♀️ (also missed the first few days as was still bleeding and cramping from the chemical and to top it off was poorly so temping would have been pointless)

@Abi58 I'm very jealous of that neat curve you have on your chart - my temps are so jagged. This month I haven't been so consistent with the time I'm taking them but even last months were also jagged. FF still manages to pick out ovulation from them though so shouldn't complain.

@LittleRedSocks I'm in the DTD stage right now, positive OPK yesterday, DTD last night - hopefully tonight and tomorrow too but I imagine dh will protest... "he is not a machine." Ideally we'll at least manage tonight.

How long do other ladies that temp find that it takes for their rise to happen after the positive OPK? I've found that I get the positive (say cd 21) but that the rise won't happen until the morning a couple of days later (cd24). Does this mean I'm not actually ovulating until cd23, or does it take a couple of days to rise?

Abi58 · 17/06/2019 11:59

@satsumasaturday this months hasn't been so great 😂

Last month I had a positive opk and 4 days later a temp rise (it has dropped day of positive so it went back up the next day but then didn't rise until 4 days after) (can prob see in my chart below) the dip slight rise back up then the rise a few days later. This month it looks like the rise has started 2 days after positive opk so I really have no idea 🤷🏻‍♀️ anyone else got any more consistency?

I think you ovulate 12-36 hours after positive opk

MountAbora · 17/06/2019 12:16

@Whyhaveidonethis your not out until AF arrives so fingers crossed for you!
The temp lines all seem a very positive sign @Abi58
@satsumasaturday my DP is similar to yours in that I am working him hard Blush ideally we would DTD but I may have to convince him !
I’m not sure whether Iv ovulated or not as had a 2nd line on an OPK (finally!) yesterday morning, had tested the evening before and had nothing but the line has got lighter since. No more EWCM either. Going to keep doing OPKs for another couple of days to see, DTD yesterday morning so fingers crossed if it was then we caught it.

Abi58 · 17/06/2019 12:27

@MountAbora thank you. The purple is this months 🤞🏻

Sounds like you've done it around the right time so I wouldn't worry if you missed one day. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

LittleRedSocks · 18/06/2019 08:08

@Whyhaveidonethis any sign of af?? Xx

OP posts:
Whyhaveidonethis · 18/06/2019 08:16

@LittleRedSocks no AF yet. Just about to do an IC but not holding out much hope. I'm 15dpo today and surely it would've been BFP by now if I was.

LittleRedSocks · 18/06/2019 08:22

Have you tried a FRER? I know IC’s worked for me a few years ago but I’ve since read how u reliable they are!

OP posts:
LittleRedSocks · 18/06/2019 08:25

Also remember there are two other factors and that is 1. You could have ovulated later than you Thought and 2. You could have implanted a bit later too. At least that’s what I’m telling myself 😂 (AF due today - haven’t done a FRER since day before yesterday)

OP posts:
satsumasaturday · 18/06/2019 09:14

@MountAbora that's what happened with my OPKs this month, I got an almost positive but then kept testing as I didn't have the temperature rise and then 4 days later got a definitely positive positive. Usually I don't get a sniff of a line beforehand so I thought the first line must've been it and I'd just missed the leak surge.

Managed to persuade dh in the end last night, but I'm pretty certain that it will be a no for sure if I tried again this evening (although I'm not sure i can take 3 days in a row either!).

Fingers crossed for you @Whyhaveidonethis . If AF is two days late now (?) then either the bfp is still to come, or you ovulated later than you thought (and so the bfp is still to come)

@LittleRedSocks is af due for you today? Are you going to test again or just wait it out? 🤞🤞

LittleRedSocks · 18/06/2019 09:23

@satsuma I’m going to wait it out at this point because I’m pretty sure it’s AF for me becuase I feel I would have gotten even a faint line on FRER day before yesterday if it was going to be positive so bracing myself for AF! Xxx

Whyhaveidonethis · 18/06/2019 09:23

AF has arrived. 😭😭 Oh well, onwards and upwards. We are on holiday alone all over my fertile period this month, so fingers crossed 🤞.

LittleRedSocks · 18/06/2019 09:46

Oh no im so sorry!!!! Ok right, PMA: on to the next month!!!! I’m sure I’ll be joining you with AF pretty soon xxx

OP posts:
Abi58 · 18/06/2019 13:19

@satsumasaturday 🤞🏻 for you!

@Whyhaveidonethis sorry af ha arrived! Sounds like great opportunity though on holiday! You'll be nice and relaxed too 😁

@LittleRedSocks when are you due? 🤞🏻

MountAbora · 18/06/2019 13:50

Oh no! @Whyhaveidonethis I am sorry. AF really does suck! It’s sounds like next month could be a very good month for trying at least. 🤞for you!
@satsumasaturday thanks, that’s good news! I haven’t had a hint of another line again but going to keep doing OPKs until tomorrow then leave it as AF due a week on weds. Are you starting the tww then?
My fingers are crossed for you @LittleRedSocks you never know!
