@EC22 so sorry! Look after yourself. Virtual hugs Thanks

Catclock · 19/07/2019 20:13

Awww that's sad to hear @EC22 xx

rubyroot · 19/07/2019 20:34

I'm sorry @EC22. Sending virtual hugs and handhold. Please do rant on here if you need to x

KCM99 · 19/07/2019 20:58

@EC22 so sorry honey xx

EC22 · 19/07/2019 21:02

Thank you everyone.
I’m going to take next week off work, can’t face it!

rubyroot · 19/07/2019 21:09

@EC22 don't blame you. Do you have kids? I think I remember yoh saying you had two daughters?

KCM99 · 19/07/2019 21:11

I spoke to consultant's secretary yesterday to get my results. She said they won't give them out unless I need to know something and my surgeon is on leave until August.

Thing is I'm gearing up to ovulate. I think in my head I'm going to ttc this month. As what if this month is the elusive golden egg and I miss it!!

On the other hand if I do end up with another cp or mc or worse not only will it hurt but I'll also have to get lecture from them.

You would think I would have heard by now if it was a molar wouldn't you? It's been 2 weeks. I really don't (and never did) agree with their suspicions.

I'm just talking out loud here. Feeling left in limbo and thinking just go for it and leave it in the hands of God xx

rubyroot · 19/07/2019 21:13

Can't you demand they tell you, ie you Need to know.

KCM99 · 19/07/2019 21:42

@rubyroot I tried calling the EPU today but no one would pick up. I'll call again on Monday and try and speak to the nice nurse. She might be helpful but the results might not be back yet, which I find staggering!!

rubyroot · 19/07/2019 22:08

Hope you don't ovulate in the meantime then. I thought the secretary had your results but withholding them! Sorry I misunderstood. Yes, would have thought the results would be ready. Sometimes I find you have to really make yourself heard to get anywhere.

KCM99 · 19/07/2019 22:38

Thanks Ruby. How far on are you? Sorry you've been getting pains. What do you think the pains are? I know they say might be ectopic but do you agree?

I've been pg 3 times this year too and the pains with the last were not AF scraping pains but quite sharpish and twingey. Very strange. Wasn't ectopic. I suspect inflammation.

rubyroot · 19/07/2019 22:58

@KCM99 only five weeks. That's a guess as it's after a chemical pregnancy with no period in between and I ran out of ovulation tests. So they saw gestational sac (which does match up to dates) and they are 90 percent sure its not ectopic. Im having another scan in 10 days check for yolk sac etc.

I'm still not very hopeful to be honest. After everything, I just can't imagine a babe in my arms.

The pains hurt the more I'm up and the more I lift 18 month old out of car seat and bath etc. So by the end of the day I need to lie down. They're uncomfortable and stitchy more than anything and on the left hand side, very disconcerting as its always there.

I asked what the pains could be and they said they could be anything. I asked if my luteal cyst could cause pains and they said it's possible, or it could be a pull or bowels. Who knows! It's been a week now.

KCM99 · 19/07/2019 23:11

@rubyroot it's such a mystery for you too then. Sounds quite bad by the end of the day. I hope it's nothing serious. They seen a big cyst on my right side but it didn't hurt me. They were interested in it but I don't know why or how much.

The pains I got I had to take painkillers every day. I knew it was weird and hadn't felt those pains before. I also got really sharp pulsating pains in what felt like both tubes over a day or two. Also extremely sharp implantation centre womb at 7dpo at 3:30am.

I don't know what the heck was going on in my uterus. A mystery thus far.

I hope yours is nothing serious and you'll be holding that babe xx

Harriettenightingale · 20/07/2019 01:50

Hey, can I join? I'm 43, been trying to conceive #1 for nearly 2 years (since Sept 2017). Had a chemical the very first time TTC at 41. Also had one with my then fiance at 25. There have been 2 different partners this time, I tried with a sperm donor via artificial insemination for nearly a year before I got into a relationship.

Nothing happening, I don't get any symptoms and that makes me very demoralised during the TWW as I did almost immediately with both cps (albeit with different symptoms)

My regime:

Ubiquinol 400mg
DHEA 75mg
Pregnacare or seven seas prenatal
B complex 100
Vitamin E 200mg
N Acetyl Cysteine 600mg
Alpha Lipoic Acid 600mg
Myo inositol powder 4g
Omega high level fish oil capsule
Milk thistle
Cassanovum plus which has cassava and vitex and other things
Progesterone cream after ovulation
Magnesium 200mg
Occasional melatonin 3mg

Given up caffeine
Low GI diet with lots of fruit and veg
Tried to remove plastics and chemicals
Weekly acupuncture and prescribed TCM preparations
Self reflexology
Herbal teas
Pineapple after ovulation

It's all expensive as you can imagine! Most of the supplements have been added in the last 3/4 months. I've been having acupuncture since Feb and it has definitely had an effect on my periods, they are less clotty and dark and don't hurt as much.

I took a home progesterone test a few months ago, it said that I'd probably ovulated but it was on the low side. I have regular 26 day cycle. So am trying to raise my progesterone levels. I have quite a stressful job and a long commute, needing to eat late and stay up late which doesn't help with hormonal balance or digestion, according to my acupuncturist.

Sorry for this long post! My boyfriend is supportive but he doesn't really get it. He takes the vitamins I give him though!

Harriettenightingale · 20/07/2019 01:51

Forgot that I take a spray vitamin D as well

findingmyfeet12 · 20/07/2019 02:04

Can I join?

I'm 40 in a couple of months. Been ttc for over 10 years.

I'm starting my 6th ivf cycle in September.

I've also had clomid and IUIs and 3 miscarriages between 8 - 12 weeks.

It's all very expensive and seems to overtake your life.

Cleozeta · 20/07/2019 08:00

Welcome harriett & findingmyfeet, sounds like you have both been on quite journey. I hope this thread brings you good luck!
Harriett - your regime is similar to mine (although you have a few extra's which I didn't think was possible!)
You are right, it is so expensive and all consuming. Let's just hope it gives us the result we want

KCM99 · 20/07/2019 09:13

Hi new ladies! I'm new too. I'm 43 and ttc for 3.5 months. I know it's not long yet they have been a long 3.5 months with 2 cp's and an emergency inpatient D&C at 6 weeks for suspected molar and/or ectopic.

Like many, taking many supplements recently to see if that helps. Will also be seen
at RMC soon and will hopefully get progesterone pessaries for next pregnancy.

Most supplements have been fine and well tolerated except Pregnenolone (precursor to
DHEA), I took too high a dose (100mg then 50mg) and made me extremely fatigued and nauseated.

Mumof4andahalf · 20/07/2019 09:42

Hi can I join? I'm 42 and recently had a mmc (2 weeks ago) and one in September last year.
Like many of you I feel times running out

Harriettenightingale · 20/07/2019 12:45

We're a flurry of new people! Had my acupuncture first thing, quite intense when you've just got up but at least I was up and about early, otherwise I tend to lie in until lunch! There's a big Lidl nearby so did my weekly shop too.

Catconfusion · 20/07/2019 13:01

Hello ladies, I've had to distance myself a bit from all things ttc as I've been having a bit of a rough time with my irregular cycles. My last one was anovulatory and this one is heading the same way. I've been told I have very mild pcos. The only symptom is irregular cycles which I've had my whole life. I have normal bloods and ultrasound. Up until the cycle after my two back to back mcs I was ovulating. I do wonder if the stress of ttc after loss is affecting things. I just wondered if there's anyone else suffering with long irregular cycles? Xx

KristieP2018 · 20/07/2019 14:36

@Catconfusion I haven’t ovulated since April. Had no problems until then except for when I first came off birth control. I do wonder about pcos too but have no other symptoms of it other than problems losing more than a few pounds (despite lower calorie and moderate exercise).

I use to have 28 day cycles and before this anovulatory cycle it was ranging 28-31.

You’re definitely not alone

KCM99 · 20/07/2019 14:42

Sorry @Catconfusion & @KristieP2018 about anovulatory cycles with possible mild PCOS.

The research I've done recommends supplements: a combo of myo inositol, melatonin and 5mg folic acid.

Catconfusion · 20/07/2019 15:01

Thanks ladies!

I'm sorry you're having anovulatory cycles @KristieP2018 PCOS can be very mild and elusive. Sone ladies have what resembles a normal length cycle. It's definitely worth getting checked out. Xx

Thanks @KCM99 the difficulty with my case is hormonal blood tests are all normal. I tried Inositol but it made my cycles worse. I think it helps with insulin resistance which I don't think I have. Melatonin lowers testosterone and my levels are normal so I'm not sure it would help. Supplements for pcos don't seem to help with me. Luckily I've been referred to the fertility clinic so I'm hoping for answers and possible drug treatment. Xx

I'm sure the stress of having irregular cycles actually makes them worse so I'm trying to stay calm and not get disheartened if I have a failed ovulation. It's hard though especially after two pregnancy losses earlier in the year. We'll hopefully get there though. I'm only just 40 and all tests on DH and I have come back normal. Xx
