Ellie - thinking of you. I hope it isn’t bad news.

Cleo - so sorry you’re feeling so low. You know I know how you feel. All I can say is you’re not alone. It’s such a sad thing to have a desperate longing for a child and it can’t be fulfilled. I’ve been doing quite a bit of crying over it recently. I feel like I’m grieving. But I’m not holding it in anymore. Even if my dreams never come true, I’m not ignoring it. Trying to just feel the pain then move on. Like Mellon I feel I’m coming to the end of the road. Even though my cycles seem normal again at the moment I’m trying to accept that it’s probably not going to happen now. It breaks my heart but I can’t do anything more than I’ve done/am doing so I’m trying to loosen my grip on controlling everything. I’m not 100% giving up yet but I’m trying to accept my life without this longed for baby.

Mellongoose - I admire your strength and wish you lots of love and happiness. You’re always welcome here whenever you need a chat x

MaryShelley1818 · 10/06/2019 21:22

Well I’ve got an interview in the morning for a 3-yr training program at work. Really interested so hopefully if baby number 2 isn’t to be then this might be so I’ll have something else to focus on.

Kimm123 · 10/06/2019 21:42

Hey ladies....have any of you tried acupuncture or reflexology?? Im cant decide whether i should give it a go and see what happens...its probably after summer holidays as we will be away...who knows what my holiday holds...i may get lucky !!!!!! I wish 🤣🤣🤣

karryk · 10/06/2019 21:49

@Kimm123 I started having Five Elements acupuncture (different from the traditional Chinese medicine version) about 4 months before conceiving DD. I had it all through pregnancy and to this day (every 6 weeks or so). Personally I've found it has really helped my general wellbeing Smile

Kimm123 · 10/06/2019 22:05

@karryk....would you say that helped you get pregnant? How ols are u if u don't mind me asking xx

sheshootssheimplores · 10/06/2019 22:15

I really felt a acupuncture conceive my second as my cycles were 23 days and my therapist lengthened then to 28. I’m taking HRT now which has lengthened my cycles also and I caught the cycle before last directly they lengthened (chemical). For me personally I just don’t seem to fall pregnant with a short cycle.

Constance1234 · 10/06/2019 22:37

@Kimm123 I started having twice monthly fertility reflexology in February and got a BFP in May (on my first round of clomid though, but I think it was a combination of both) :)

pookypup · 11/06/2019 06:06

Hello ladies, may I join you? Been lurking a bit and you seem lovely Smile

TTC number DC3 for nearly 4 years one mc and two chemicals in that time. Started ttc at 36 and now 40. I had my first DCs at 32 and 34 and fell pregnant quickly, so now having some investigations. FSH a bit high (I think) and awaiting a HyCoSy, has anyone had one?

@EllieJaye I hope today goes ok for you.

karryk · 11/06/2019 06:10

@Kimm123 I believe it did help in that it brought balance to my body - the five elements version is a holistic approach and treats your whole self. I'll be 42 in a couple of weeks. I had DD a month after my 40th Smile

karryk · 11/06/2019 06:10

Hello @pookypup! Flowers

BooseysMom · 11/06/2019 06:19

@MaryShelley1818.. Good luck with your interview. DH has just started a teacher training course with full bursary and is having a new lease of life!

@pookypup.. Welcome and thanks for your kind comment. We've also been ttc for 4 years for dc2. I'm alot older than you tho! I had DS at 40. Good luck x

pookypup · 11/06/2019 06:43

Thank you for warm welcome.

@booseysmum I can’t believe it’s been 4 years, time suddenly shot by! (But also went vvvvvery slowly in those TWW) Confused

I had my first fertility appointment yesterday and mentioned the chemicals (just had one this cycle). My Dr was v kind but said not to test until I’m a week overdue to avoid upset. As a POAS addict this will be hard but v sensible advice. Wonder if I can hold out? CD 2 here.

MaryShelley1818 · 11/06/2019 07:26

Welcome Pooky!

Thanks Boosey, it would be to complete a 2nd degree so a lot of work and a huge commitment but feel like I need to have another focus. DS has had me awake since 3am so going to be a very looong day!
I did contemplate teacher training a few yrs ago and got accepted onto the 1-yr course but then decided against it last minute. Well done to your DH, it’s an extremely hard job, but rewarding.

KristieP2018 · 11/06/2019 08:13

Sigh. Still no sign of af or ovulation or anything. I’m stopping the Vitex. It worked so well the first time and when I ran out, I bought a different brand and now I’m wondering if they’re the issue. Since I’ve been on the new brand, my cycles have been off. CD37 today and another day of high fertility.

Cleozeta · 11/06/2019 10:50

Mimosa - sorry to hear you are feeling the same. It's just all so disheartening, especially as there is such a stark fast approaching deadline. I am trying to focus on other things but can't bring myself to give up yet

Kimm123 · 11/06/2019 15:33

@Constance1234....thanku for ur feedback...im thinking of having reflexology twice a week....to get my body balance back to normal....i do feel my diet is crap...sweet tooth lol .....and that i have not had a period since january....do u think this is something to be worried about ??? I am 42years old. Are you pregnant now then ?? xx

rubyroot · 11/06/2019 16:02

@EllieJaye how’s things today? I’m wondering if your cramps are just early pregnancy cramps and twinges?! Hoping you’re alright x

Chatbash72 · 11/06/2019 16:04

Sorry ladies bitching migraine has rumbled on for the last few days and had knocked me off kilter a little... think it's hormonal so hey maybe some stonking eggs ready to go...
will reply better when feeling a little more human but will say have listened to Gi fletchers latest pod cast... liz Earle !!! Had her last baby at 47 was told by drs her hormone levels were so low she needed worry about catching... and low and behold a baby... please dont give up hope... the human female body is incredible you just have to trust in her..

EllieJaye · 11/06/2019 16:31

So, as I knew really its not looking good for me.

My GP has been great I have to say, saw her at 8am this morning, she had me in with the nurse for bloods by 8.20am and has called me this afternoon with the results.

Unfortunately my HCG is only at 78, which at 5+4 is not a good sign. I have repeat bloods Thursday morning to see what is happening but I am realistic the outcome is highly likely to be bad news. Still cramping but no bleeding as of yet.

I broke down at the docs this morning but just feeling rather numb right now tbh

pookypup · 11/06/2019 17:42

Sorry to hear your news wasn’t good Ellie Flowers

BooseysMom · 11/06/2019 19:27

Thanks Chat for that inspiring news about Liz Earle. Just read an article about her..can't believe she's the same age as me and it was completely natural! Hopefully the link below works..

evoke.ie/2018/02/19/health/liz-earle-menopause-newborn

It never ceases to amaze me actually how out of the blue things like this can be. The human body is indeed incredible!

BooseysMom · 11/06/2019 19:33

@EllieJaye..I'm sorry to hear about your results today. Flowers

rubyroot · 11/06/2019 20:21
