Jamie - here here. Well said girl. I was amazed by the negativity and not in a good way. I’m staying clear of ‘those’ threads from now on! Whilst many of us would say that circumstances have put us here ttc in our 40s I’d bet most of us are in a far better place to provide a good life for our children now. I know we are. Financially stable, big enough house near good schools, loads of energy and love to give. Age is just a number today. My parents are in their early 70s and are doing Pilates, yoga, gym & body pump most days. I plan to be the same. It’s such an old-fashioned out-dated view that we must have our children in our 20s/early 30s. Oh and you should see my 60-year old yoga teacher. She’s gorgeous and can rock a crab, splits, handstand & more! There’s chronological age and there’s biological age ladies. 💪🏼

littlemimosa · 04/06/2019 22:59

Booseys - apparently the over 40s births outnumber teenage births now for the first time in history!

rubyroot · 04/06/2019 23:08

Hi all

I’m back after having a faint positive. I feel so anxious worried and stressed. I’m 40. Had miscarriage at 37, had baby at 39 and then tfmr at 13.5 weeks in sept due to t21. I feel so scared and can’t even think.

rubyroot · 04/06/2019 23:09

Yeah I know- I chose this, right? I know I can go through this again- but these first few weeks are so hard aren’t they?!

karryk · 05/06/2019 08:17

@rubyroot congrats! Fingers crossed for you Smile I know what you mean. I spend ages trying to get pregnant and then when I finally am a whole new host of anxieties crop up!

One day we can be ourselves again Grin xx

twinkledag · 05/06/2019 09:33

Hello and sorry for disappearing for a while.

Congratulations to all the BFPs and scans, amazing.

And good luck to to everyone still trying. 💐

As for me, we had a consultation at ARGC and have booked to see Colin Davis at Evewell in a couple of weeks and then we will make a decision on embarking on another round of IVF. In the meantime we will try naturally.

KristieP2018 · 05/06/2019 10:29

Girls I’m having the weirdest cycle this month. I ran out of opks and think I missed my peak by the time I got more so I don’t know 100% when I ov but...I dried immediately like normal so I believe I ovulated on 20/05. On Saturday 01/06, I had a pinpoint drop of blood followed by two small streaks of pinkish/orange blood. I had some cramping that day so I figured it was af even though it was only 12 dpo. Ive had NOTHING since. Period is two days late as of now. I’ve had nausea, back pain, bloating, light cramping on and off, tired, headaches all since Saturday.

What is going on?! I want so much to believe it was implantation but I know how rare that is and I don’t want to get my hopes up.

I’m thinking of buying some hpts tomorrow. Should I or should I just wait a little longer. My lp are always 14 days. This is odd. Confused

Constance1234 · 05/06/2019 10:46

@KristieP2018 that does sound promising. I know it’s hard to try to not to get your hopes up! The only way to know is to test :)

KristieP2018 · 05/06/2019 10:53

@constance1234 and I always refuse to test until I miss a period. Which I never have missed one so I haven’t tested. I’m like clockwork lol

Chatbash72 · 05/06/2019 11:46

Ooh @KristieP2018 I'd test.... 🤞🤞🤞and to you @rubyroot

KediKat · 05/06/2019 11:46

Thank you @SparrowSG @Cleozeta I also got the Ava because I don't wake at the same time in the morning and was getting a temp reads regularly was a chore. I will continue using and hope tracking from from CD1 will give me a better picture data wise.
If anyone wants a £20 Ava discount code let me know.

littlemimosa · 05/06/2019 11:57

Ruby - tentative congratulations, so many bfps on here recently - it gives me hope! I can understand your worry though....it never ends does it lol.

Kristie - test! Only one way to find out. Fingers crossed hun.

KristieP2018 · 05/06/2019 11:58

@chatbash72 and I am kind of kicking myself for not keeping hpts in the house. I have opks but I drink almost 5 liters a day so that won’t show anything lol. Tomorrow if no af shows!

twinkledag · 05/06/2019 12:04

@KristieP2018 - I had implantation bleed on both of my pregnancies (via IVF, second one ended in MC ). I've had 6 transfers and the only ones that I've had pregnancies for have had implantation bleeding. Good luck!

KristieP2018 · 05/06/2019 12:14

Thank you mimosa and twinkle. I really hope that’s what it was!

Constance1234 · 05/06/2019 12:21

@KristieP2018 I know what you mean, I waited 4 days after my period was due to test as I couldn’t bear to see a negative test if it was just my period being late!

EvelineUK - fertile week hopefully approaching so will let you know! Excited to try it

rubyroot · 05/06/2019 20:08

Ha so I had three faint positive and now a negative. Think I’ve got a bit obsessive with poas! I’ve not been like this before- in the past I’ve tested when I’m definitely late! they’re only cheapy tests and am 11 dpo so I will wait and try again. At the moment I’ve decided I’m not pregnant as can’t stand the disappointment. I’m having a glass of wine Shock

Russkispy · 05/06/2019 22:04

@KristieP2018 good luck with testing! Hope it's your month!
@EllieJaye how are you getting on?
AFM, cd34 and still on AF after D&C.

EllieJaye · 05/06/2019 23:18

Hi @russkispy hope you're feeling ok?

I'm alright, however done a couple of CB with weeks indicator and not moved from 1-2 weeks bracket which is worrying me. I know its not the most reliable but can't face going for bloods and all the appts and hospital etc I just don't think I can deal with that just now. Mentally preparing for a bad outcome though. I know that's not really helpful but anyway, we will see what happens

Presh12345 · 06/06/2019 09:12

I'm back. Have still been TTC but decided to slow things down a bit. I have Graves disease and my medication isn't great in early pregnancy, causing defects and all sorts. So here I am, on holidays for a week (fly home tmrw), have had shooting and stabbing pains in my sides all week, a rumbling gurgling tummy, lower back pain, and an AF that was due to arrive today but didn't. Have felt so exhausted all week, tired and highly anxious.....my tummy issues have gone from pancreatitis to IBS to AF to pregnancy and anything that fits the bill in between.

Well I don’t know girls! I wasn’t able to use fmu so I held but could only hold for 3.5 hours and I think I see a line but it looks like an indent to me? I bought a 2 pack so I’ll retest tomorrow with fmu if af doesn’t show. what do you think? Ignore my marks lol. Shaky hands marked too far to the right Grin
