Trying to conceive first child with PCO/PCOS or irregular long cycles

Hi there,

I'm currently on my 3rd cycle ttc my first child and I suffer with irregular cycles due to PCO. I conceived first cycle but it was a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks. My second cycle was a chemical pregnancy. I'm now on my 3rd and it's day 34 with no ovulation yet. I'm using Ovusense to temp which helps to show when I've ovulated. I can't help but worry it was a fluke to fall quickly like I did. Just wondering if there's anyone else in a similar situation struggling with long cycles as I'm finding it really frustrating. Looking forward to chatting to some of you! x

What's your opinion? The last few temps seem different to me but not sure.. I'm probably just looking into them too much.

There seems to be a bit of an upward trend @EssJayyCee but I'm not sure if it will come to anything. I think if I were you I'd be tempted to stop temping now and if AF wasn't here in a couple of weeks see the doctor for something to bring it on. This must be so stressful for you and hard to relax. I hope something changes soon! Xx

@CatConfusion FF has put the crosshairs back on my chart and are saying I may have ovulated on CD60!

I don't want to stop temping because it'll still help when I'm due to come on hopefully.
I'm not really thinking too much into it at the moment. I take my temp and record it and then i don't look at it again until i record the next day.
But it looks like i possibly have ovulated now so AF should be on the way in the next couple of weeks. 🤞🏻

EssJayyCee · 16/05/2019 13:25

Ps I think CD62 is more likely for O.

EssJayyCee · 17/05/2019 19:11

Ok.. I have sore nipples and I have NEVER had sore nipples..

Catconfusion · 17/05/2019 19:37

@EssJayyCee how is your chart looking? It could be hormone imbalance? I've found I've got more and more breast symptoms as I've got older. Xx

I'm still having high temps I think I may have ovulated somewhere.

I am wondering if I ovulated on CD55 because I recorded alot of symptoms that day and other days around it.

Or CD62.

Catconfusion · 17/05/2019 20:10

@EssJayyCee it's definitely looking possible. Those last three look more steady. I guess just keep going and see what happens. AF can't be too far away. The progesterone will often give breast symptoms after O. Xx

Catconfusion · 17/05/2019 20:11

@EssJayyCee I'd say 62 more possible as you've stayed above the cover line. Xx

My temps have steadied a little now so I think I may have ovulated on CD64 now. What do you think?

I tested this morning and it was BFN

If you ovulated on 64 its too early to test yet, I'd give it 14 days post ovulation on an early testing

EssJayyCee · 19/05/2019 22:21

@Sleepingstandingup I tested because I thought maybe I had O'd on CD55.
But I obviously hadn't.
Going to give it a couple of weeks and see what happens.

I doubt I'm pregnant. I honestly just want AF to arrive.

SleepingStandingUp · 19/05/2019 22:49

Keeping fingers crossed for a speedy resolution either way xx

EssJayyCee · 20/05/2019 07:06

Thank you!

I have had a dip of 0.4 this morning at what FF thinks is 9dpo 🤔 (O being CD62) or 7dpo (if O was CD64)

Catconfusion · 20/05/2019 09:25

@EssJayyCee your temps are definitely looking more steady and like post O temps. What's your chart looking like today? Fingers crossed for you! Xx

@SleepingStandingUp I hope the scan goes well. I'll be thinking of you! Xx

@CatConfusion
My temp dipped this morning.. but hoping it rises again in the morning.
It's either random, implantation or because I woke an hour earlier but I'm not sure!

@EssJayyCee so difficult to say. Hopefully it'll ping up again. Either way it should be clear soon what's going on! Xx

EssJayyCee · 21/05/2019 13:31

@CatConfusion It went back up to the temp it was the day before it dropped.
So back on 36.61 today. 🤞🏻
Probably just a secondary oestrogen surge.

I hope you're okay. Where abouts are you in your cycle now? Xx

Catconfusion · 21/05/2019 13:50

It could be @EssJayyCee and I hope so. So sorry you've had all this waiting. Hopefully an end is in sight!

I'm good thanks. Got a flashing smiley on my digital Opk so hoping this is the start of something. I'm CD 12 so very early for me. My hormone blood tests cane back normal today which is good news considering my age. Xx

Good luck today @SleepingStandingUp thinking of you! Xx

@CatConfusion That is good news for you 🙂 Hopefully you get static soon then! get DTD!

Sorry for TMI and I apologising for being so annoying with everything all the time but today..

I wiped after going to the toilet and there was quite a bit of yellow-ish cm (my cm always has a yellow tint) with a streak of brown running through it. Any suggestions as what it could be?

@Sleepingstandingup I hope your scan went well today! Xx

Catconfusion · 21/05/2019 19:32

@EssJayyCee I'm really not sure what that could be.

Don't worry at all. It's why I started this thread because long cycles are so stressful and thought it would be nice to have and give support. I just hope you get answers soon as very frustrating for you! Xx

OP posts:
EssJayyCee · 21/05/2019 20:57

@Catconfusion The streak was pink a couple of hours later.
Have you ever had implantation bleeding?

I have a feeling I'm going to wake up to AF in the morning which will be a bit weird with my temp rising again this morning...
I don't usually spot before AF I usually wake up on the morning of AF to the proper beginning of it. 🤔

I just feel like I'm getting on your nerves a bit!

SleepingStandingUp · 21/05/2019 23:12

Hi ladies, I delayed my scan. i would be 6 weeks exactly and worried that if there wasn't a heartbeat due to gestation it would freak me out. Hoping that by Sunday it'll be more likely to be clear so we've rearranged for then - day before son's birthday party so that'll go one of two ways.

Fingers crossed it is implantation and a static smiley in the next few days xx

Catconfusion · 22/05/2019 04:51

@EssJayyCee I didn't with my first pregnancy. I think I did with the second one but I lost it much earlier so could have been because it wasn't right. Apparently it's common so a possibility. I really hope AF doesn't come and you've caught. I guess if it does come you can move onto the next cycle though. Just hope it's not more limbo.

Not annoying at all. Happy to help you. It can be lonely when you're first trying, especially with long cycles. On other threads people seem to ovulate and get pregnant pretty easily sometimes which is disheartening when your body is taking its time. Xx

@SleepingStandingUp arh I don't blame you for waiting. A lady on another thread went early and they couldn't even see the baby, let alone the heartbeat. It just causes a lot of stress. Xx
