Hello there,

Currently on cycle #5, trying to conveive baby number two (many years after first), and realising ttc is one of the most frustrating tasks I have embarked on.

I had a chemical pregnancy in january which has completely taken all joy out of trying because even if that BFP appears, I do not think I could bring myself to be excited about it.

That being said, there is only one way this is going to happen so on I go with the 'ahem' BD and peeing on ovulation sticks and then pregnacy tests at any given moment.

AF due 15 April, let the obsessing begin..

Oh, and is anybody else actually sick of doing the deed yet (sorry husband)?

Congratulations @Mamabear12! My goodness this is a lucky thread! So happy for you.

@Novella12 you know, there could be something there, it's so hard to tell in photos - test again later tomorrow if AF doesn't arrive? Still think your symptoms sound really promising!

Novella12 · 14/04/2019 09:12

@mamabear12 I’m never usually late. Having potential AF symptoms though - a little bit of cramping - but nothing severe yet. I have thrown the BFN in the wheelie bin because I kept fishing it out to have another look and it was driving me mad 😂

@peasando thank you- fingers are still crossed a little bit but I’m convincing myself to expect AF now, so that I don’t get too disappointed when she arrives.

Headswim · 14/04/2019 10:10

Congratulations @peasando @Mamabear12 and @RLI1105 - this feels like a lucky thread.

I am 36 ttc #1 and on cycle 4 - 10dpo and symptom spotting like mad as felt like timing of DTD was good this month as only just found out relevance of CM! (Why don't they teach you this in school!)

So here are my symptoms
*Extreme cramps in days after ovulation, especially down left side
Since then constant twinges and niggles all over body plus specifically in abdomen
Morning nausea just started
Constipation and just not as regular
Burping a lot!! (TMI soz)
Doing big farts! (one woke my partner up!)
Feeling really sick / rushing to the loo after a big meal
Once felt V dizzy when standing up
Weird trippy feeling that could be described as dizziness but not felt before
Mild headache
Mild back soreness
Extreme tiredness - head hits pillow and I am gone, plus naps
Boobs look bigger but not really sore
Twinges all over abdomen

Want to eat everything

Novella12 · 14/04/2019 10:26

@headswim that’s sounding hopeful! I have my fingers crossed for you

peasando · 14/04/2019 10:27

@Novella12 I totally get that, self preservation is key 💖 I will just keep my fingers quietly crossed for you!

@Headswim your symptoms sound very similar to mine - fingers crossed 🤞🏻 for you too! When do you think you will test?

Headswim · 14/04/2019 10:51

@peasando AF is due in two days so I was thinking of waiting to see if she comes... I guess most of these could be symptoms of that but normally I am more bloated, don't really have cramps, and weirdly my boobs are generally much sorer than now. The digestive stuff and dizziness is defo new tho. Temperature also elevated to 36.4 for last couple of days and generally feel hot.

I'm just scared to test I think as so want this! Almost the limbo is better than a BFN.

I only have a clear blue digital so I know they aren't very sensitive too.

Mamabear12 · 14/04/2019 10:52

Frustrating, I had a tiny bit more spotting which makes me worried it’s a chemical. Hoping it sticks! Sucks! And now no drinking on holiday while I wait it out. 😭

Novella12 · 14/04/2019 11:17

@Mamabear12 ohh I hope all is ok! Thinking of you.

I wear a fitness tracker, and today I noticed that my resting heart rate has been REALLY high for the last two days. That normally happens if I’m ill, so that might explain the late AF too.

Mamabear12 · 14/04/2019 11:32

Ah, increase heart rate can be sign of pregnancy as well I think. But I’m not sure as I only did a quick google. I guess only time will tell! Now it’s a waiting game. Feels like forever!

RLI1105 · 14/04/2019 12:50

@Mamabear12 My fingers are crossed for you! Hopefully things will settle and you will have a clear ride! 😌

@peasando I just wanted to ask you when DPO you used the Clearblue digital? I want to tell my fiancé tonight and use one of those but I'm worried it's too early! I have had two strong BFP's on a first response but I know they are way more sensitive

peasando · 14/04/2019 13:17

@RLI1105 I did it at 13dpo, the day before AF was due. I was a bit worried because I've never had a BFP on one of those before AF was late before, but it worked this time! How many dpo are you? x

RLI1105 · 14/04/2019 13:20

@peasando I'm 13 today although I'd be doing it in the evening rather than the morning.... I'm tempted to wait until tomorrow morning just in case (they're flipping expensive!) I'm desperate to tell him though!

Novella12 · 14/04/2019 14:03

@mamabear12 haha that made me chuckle! Seems like everything is a sign of pregnancy. Still no sign of AF. Hope you’re doing ok!

@RLI1105 what a lovely idea! I can’t wait for the day I can give my DH that news 😊

mommato3 · 14/04/2019 14:32

I'm out. Witch showed up this morning

Novella12 · 14/04/2019 15:07

@mommato3 sorry to hear that 🙁

RLI1105 · 14/04/2019 16:29

Confession: I'm a nurse and my unit has pregnancy tests as stock which are the same strength as Clearblue ones (25). I peed on one on my break to see if I get anything and actually got a decent line despite still only being 13dpo! That's after drinking 1.5L of water today too! I'm definitely going to use a Clearblue later! 😃😃

And so the 2ww begins. 15th April count down.
peasando · 14/04/2019 17:19

That's a great line @RLI1105! I did a superdrug one this morning (will I ever stop testing?!) and it wasn't nearly as strong as that.

Sorry to hear that @mommato3 - fingers crossed next month is your month x

Comps83 · 14/04/2019 18:59

Think I can feel the onset of AF Sad
Wasted 3 tests today imagining I could see something on each one but I couldn’t really. Just wishful thinking .

Novella12 · 14/04/2019 19:13

@comps83 I think mine’s on the way too. Getting little sharp pains every so often in my low abdomen. Really wish it would hurry up!

Comps83 · 14/04/2019 19:15

Yup me too . Gutted I’m not going to get my Xmas day baby. Fingers crossed for next month x

RLI1105 · 14/04/2019 20:04

@Novella12 Really sharp cramps were my first symptom!! Do you think you can be persuaded to take a test at all tomorrow morning?!

@Mamabear12 How are you doing today? I hope you're managing to have some fun!

@Headswim again your symptoms seem just like mine! The elevated temp was the thing that pushed me to the edge. I am so impressed you're holding out!

So my Clearblue Digital worked! 😃 My fiancé was so pleased! I wasn't sure if he would be really overwhelmed and not really take it in but he was just so happy! One person told - and breathe!

Sleepyhead11 · 14/04/2019 20:24

hey hey, Congratulations @peasando and @RLI1105 and @mamabear12

Good to see the great news, and I hope it's all amazing from here on. Imagine those lovely December babies.

I am back, because AF not here, though all the symptoms are - and vacillating between wild hope and telling myself not to be so bloody stupid. X

Headswim · 14/04/2019 20:25

@RLI1105 @Novella12 yes sharp cramps in specific area (mine were lower down and more on one side a bit like a stitch), rather than period cramps which I feel are a bit more like dull general ache all over the abdomen / tummy area.

@RLI1105 that's so reassuring you are having the same symptoms 🙂 so happy for you! New symptom alert tonight: lower back pain.

Novella12 · 14/04/2019 20:55

@RLI1105 I’m so pleased your clear blue worked! It must have been so lovely to see your OH’s face 😀 I don’t think I can take another test tomorrow- especially as the test today seemed so negative. Think AF will make my decision for me before then anyway!

RLI1105 · 14/04/2019 20:57

@Sleepyhead11 Nice to see you back! How many DPO are you? Are you considering taking a test soon or are you going to hold out for a couple more days

@Headswim Completely! So my period was due on Friday and I was waiting for it to come - I had had no real symptoms. About 4pm I had these really intense stabbing cramps. I just presumed it was a mutant AF kicking in and actually ran to the toilet expecting a flood but got nothing. In hindsight though my normal AF are the dull ache you describe. When my temp was up the next morning I threw caution to the wind and that was that! I got a really good BFP too. The symptoms have well and truly kicked in now!
Others are: back pain (like you again!)!! I thought I had an ill fitting bra on but no! Fleeting nausea - it's not there long though. By the time I have registered it it's gone!
Slow digestion, constipation. Sorry if TMI but I've not been in three days and am feeling it. This is not normal for me!
