Currently on cycle #5, trying to conveive baby number two (many years after first), and realising ttc is one of the most frustrating tasks I have embarked on.

I had a chemical pregnancy in january which has completely taken all joy out of trying because even if that BFP appears, I do not think I could bring myself to be excited about it.

That being said, there is only one way this is going to happen so on I go with the 'ahem' BD and peeing on ovulation sticks and then pregnacy tests at any given moment.

AF due 15 April, let the obsessing begin..

Oh, and is anybody else actually sick of doing the deed yet (sorry husband)?

I got a BFN today at 9-10DPO today. I'm going to avoid testing now until after AF due because I was so certain I would get something today as my temp is the highest it's been since I've charted!

Hi everyone. Sorry not posted for a bit. Been busy and been symptom spotting and trying not to get my hopes up!

11dpo here and had cramping, been tired, peeing for Britain and now the last 2 evenings OH has been nauseous and been sick which is what happened to him in December. He this were pregnant but I don't want to hope. Tested yesterday BFN as expected. Tested this morning and got a shadow which I feel is an evap so tested again to be sure! My boobs are beginning to get tender and af is due between 14th and 16th. Trying to remain positive without getting my hopes up!!

I've read all the posts and got caught up, chuckles at a few including the nipple hair! Some of the lines look good, fingers crossed they darken and af stays away!

@mommato3 FX for you!!! Really hope it's not an evap! You've given me some hope I might still be in with a chance this month. Waiting for AF or Monday to test. AF due in 2-3 days. X

@thosethreewords it was an evap. Confirmed with another to check however with af not due for another 3-5 days I'm not giving in just yet. Good luck and remember, it's not over til the witch shows xxx

Brand new here. I’m on cycle 3 of TTC and AF is due on Sunday. Trying not to drive myself mad symptom spotting but I can’t help it! The TWW is a killer.

Hey @Novella12. I'm the exact same as you. 3rd cycle, AF due on Sunday. Feeling quite PMT-y today so I think I'm probably out this month.

@MrsRLM I’m just the same. Feeling bloated and blurgh.

@Novella12 and @MrsRLM I am also exactly the same, Cycle 3 and AF due on Sunday. I am varying between thinking maybe this is the month (because I had a possible "implantation dip" in my chart) and thinking it's definitely not (because I haven't had enough symptoms). Argh! I'm trying to make myself wait until Sunday to test... easier said than done.

@BananaRaces same here. Hubby is away this weekend until Sunday evening, and I can’t shake the idea of showing him a BFP when he comes back! Need to get it out of my head because I’ll disappoint myself 🙈

@BananaRaces same here. I had a huge dip at 8DPO, the biggest dip I've ever had. Up until yesterday, I was feeling good about it because I didn't have any PMT symptoms but today I just feel like crap and now I'm second guessing the dip. I'd like to wait til Sunday but I might do a FRER on Saturday morning.

I am out - no AF but early symptoms all at once. I want to reply to you all individually soon - just running out the door though. Love to you all, it's been great to have your support. x

@Mikeyjayne2018 just saw your earlier post about not wanting to test, I know what you mean. It's going to be so tough for you even after BFP - although I hope so hard it's OK this time. It's so tough about your course as well. Do Student Support have any funds for students on Leave of Absense? It might be worth asking if you've not already, just in case, because lack of income at a time when you need to look after yourself sounds really tough.

@Wishing56 I'm so sorry. Maybe we'll be together on the May thread. Am on holiday in Finland and Russia in May 2ww so hoping not to be so focused on it as I want to enjoy it, but is difficult.

Also, please can someone tell me what a dip means? I've never been clear about temperature charting. If there is a link to an easy explanation would love to see it.

@Sleepyhead11 a dip is just a big dip in temps. It's not a sure sign of pregnancy either way. Lots of people don't see them.

It's a drop in temps on the day that your fertilised egg implants into your womb lining. Temp then goes back up. It's usually around 7-10 DPO you'll see it.

I've had a big dip at 8 DPO you can see on the right of my chart. But I still feel like I have PMT so it could just be an anomaly.

Temping at different times, poor sleep, illness and loads of other things can effect temps so dips could mean nothing.

Talk me down please! I am now 13DPO, usually get AF at 14 days. I was determined not to test until then. But this morning when I got up I thought it wouldn’t HURT to use a OPK - I have loads of those. So I tested and it was positive. Now I know you can get a surge just before AF so it probably doesn’t mean anything. Don’t want to do a HPT until tomorrow now because FMU is flushed. How do I get through today?? I think I’d have been far more relaxed if it had been negative!

Hi everyone, I leave for work in 5 minutes so just doing a quick update!
I'm 11dpo today and expecting my period although the last couple of days my temperature has stayed up which I wouldn't expect it to.
We'll have to see what happens. I'm off tomorrow so if my temp is still up that I'm going to use my (last!) FR tomorrow. I have a really stressful busy day today so I don't want to be distracted!
I'm trying to stay positive either way. If I'm not pregnant and my luteal phase has lengthened then I'm taking that as a big win! I've been taking B vitamins to see if that lengthens it as a 10 day luteal phase isn't the best.
Anyway, I'll reply to everyone properly tonight

@thosethreewords Haha probably not! But I just don’t want to end up disappointed...I only have two HPTs at home so I’m convinced not to do one until tomorrow, but the little voice in my head has already started convincing me

Argh @Novella12! That's such a good sign! Is there any way you could just hold your wee for a bit and test today? I don't think I'd be able to stop myself!

@peasando maybe - I’d just be so gutted if it was BFN! It sounds crazy when I say it but somehow I feel like my chances would be higher tomorrow, even though I know I’m either pregnant or I’m not! Fingers crossed 🤞

I did a silly this morning. My temp went up today at 12 DPO so I got excited and did a FRER.

BFN obviously.

Yesterday I felt PMT-y and miserable so I'll see if it continues today.

AF due tomorrow or Sunday so I'm just not going to test again this cycle.

Here's today's test - still v faint but not exactly FMU (had an attack of diarrhoea at 5am (sorry, TMI) and then did this test when I got woken up by my two year old at 6!)

Yesterday's is the top one, today's is the bottom one.

@MrsRLM sorry to hear about your BFN but you're not out yet! I don't temp but from what I've gleaned (from spending far too long on these board) your chart looks good. I felt really PMT-like on Tuesday and Wednesday this week (and even noted that in my Clue app) but still got a faint bfp yesterday... x
