@AliceRR I would say that AF if she comes will be in two days. You usually only have 14 - 15 days after ovulation before AF arrives. You have just ovulated earlier than normal this cycle.

AliceRR · 09/05/2019 22:15

@InDreamland I hope so but don’t quite believe it.

Fingers crossed for you too and everyone else in the 2WW 🤞

ikphillips · 09/05/2019 22:18

@Pop1234 I had my ERPC in late March and the hospital just wrote to me to say my results are in and offering me an appointment on 9th July! I phoned and harassed them and now going in tomorrow for them x

AliceRR · 09/05/2019 22:19

@Lilimum7 So do you mean you think this is af come early? I am usually v regular but have never done OPK to track ovulation before and it’s possible cycle would be shorter this month just because this is only my second cycle after giving birth. Could have got OPK wrong too though 🤷🏻‍♀️😬🙄

Frillyfarmer · 09/05/2019 22:40

@AliceRR will you test before AF is due? I really hope this is implantation spotting for you 🤞🏼

I'm 9 days since MC bleeding started, BFN within 3 days and I'm getting my usual ovulation pains - is that possible?! If I take the first day of MC as CD1, it's about right time in my cycle to start with ovulation pain, but it just seems too good to be true that my body has fallen back into sync so quickly after the drama that was the first three months of this year!

Friend had her scan today so I sent her a message wishing her good luck which really stung me anyway because I'm still wallowing in my own self pity. She replied telling me how anxious she was and how this has just been the most stressful year. They were TTC for 2 months before their BFP and as I've not heard from her since I'm assuming all is hunky dorey - What a stressful year, hey. Hopefully Karma will give her a newborn that slept as badly as my DS 🤞🏼

Squiff70 · 09/05/2019 22:46

@AliceRR it still sounds ike implantation to me.

AliceRR · 09/05/2019 22:51

@Frillyfarmer I was going to try to wait til AF is due to test but I thought that was in a week but if what you say is right then I could potentially test earlier

I’m no expert but I think it is possible you are ovulating so soon. I think I mentioned I got first af about 26 days after full term still birth. I think our bodies are geared up to try to get back to normal and start again

It was good if you go text your friend. I think different people have very different ideas of stress. The first time I saw a good friend of mine after we lost our baby was telling me how stressed she’d been about her house move because she was so attached to her house and basically she hadn’t been in touch for months. It sounded like there were other things going on as well like maybe she was anxious or depressed. I tried not to judge her difficulties against mine but I was a bit miffed when I texted her the other day (because I know she’s been having a hard time) and no reply again!

Squiff70 · 09/05/2019 23:09

@AliceRR with a FRER you can test 6 days before your missed period. Good luck!

Lilimum7 · 09/05/2019 23:15

@AliceRR after my horrible cp this cycle I will not test until I am late in future. Its just to heart breaking. If I hadn't teste early I wouldn't have known about it at all. But that's just may experience. My advise would be to wait 3 days if no AF do a test. That way you will get a good line if you are pregnant. Also if you can afford them digital opks are much easier to do, it's a yes or no thing, no deciding if it's a positive or not.

AliceRR · 09/05/2019 23:15

@Squiff70 Thanks. I’m hoping for the best but trying not to get my hopes up too much as was slightly dubious when it seemed more pinky / red earlier (although my anxious googling suggests IB can vary from one pregnancy to another). Let’s see what tomorrow brings 🙄

AliceRR · 09/05/2019 23:19

@Lilimim7 I must say I was hoping to try til after AF due for that reason. Last year I tested too early and got a negative so bad to wait to test again anyway. On the other hand as you say less chance of being caught be a CP if you wait... but sometimes it’s hard to wait isn’t it. I hope this cycle brings something positive for you x

Mistymeow · 10/05/2019 07:41

@knitkitty thanks, that helps! I’m trying to keep it in perspective and not get silly. Reminding myself that hormones have been all over the place and the GP is not worried. But my imagination does run wild. I don’t think we have much faith in our bodies after what we have been through. I reeeeeally hope this is you cycle #teamwomb
@lilimum7 thanks for the reassurance, it must have been a scary time having the biopsy. Trying to remember that 8-9/10 lumps are benign. I hope you are starting to feel a bit better after the early loss.
@alicerr I would try to hold out until af is due simply because it can be so hard if you get your hopes up and then see a bfn. It depends- would you rather see af arrive first or a bfn? I think the spotting sounds promising but don’t want to get your hopes up as I’ve been tricked by that symptom before.
@frillyfarmer some people are just rather self centred. It’s good of you to reach out to her. I get paranoid that people will pity me so sometimes I push through my grief and enquire about friends’ pregnancies. Also it’s totally possible to ovulate again so soon after. Keep an eye on it because your body might try and not quite manage it, then gear up again and pop one out later :)
@ale2992 that looks very promising, good luck!

Thanks everyone for the nice words. How is everyone doing today? Me and DH are off to see his endocrinologist today, I want to know if it’s likely his sperm has caused our miscarriages.

Lilimum7 · 10/05/2019 07:53

@Mistymeow hi hun this endocrinologist is he/she private or NHS.
I'm trying to find out if rmc NHS will bother to test DH or just me. DH thinks it's probably him because of his health issues. He been reading about DNA fragmented spermies. Any one with any info about rmc please enlighten me I'm totally clueless, lol TIA

ale2992 · 10/05/2019 08:03

I know this isn't what this thread is for but just wondering what your thoughts are on exercise during early pregnancy if you'd had a loss before?

Laney79 · 10/05/2019 08:19

@Lilimum7 check this out on sperm dna fragmentation www.birmingham.ac.uk/research/activity/mds/centres/maternal-health/research/sperm-dna-fragmentation.aspx
One of the authors is the same doc behind the progesterone trial that reported back yesterday. He works at the Birmingham Tommy's clinic.

I did look at some of the speed dna tests a while back...one was called sperm comet I think? Cost about £350-400. We never ended up down that route but deffo worth a look x

Pop1234 · 10/05/2019 08:33

@ikphillips thank you. Fingers crossed for you, let me know how it goes.

InDreamland · 10/05/2019 08:38

@Lilimum7 DH had a sperm DNA fragmentation test and results showed something with his swimmers that is strongly linked to mc's and infertility. examenlab.com/the-test/
See what you think of this. Really hoping the treatment we had for it works. I think with SA it cost us around £500. We had it organised through the Lister clinic and then DH was referred to a urologist who specialises in male fertility.

InDreamland · 10/05/2019 08:43

@Mistymeow hope your appointment goes well and you can get some tests/ answers.

@ale2992 if you feel able to exercise and aren't too exhausted then continuing with exercise if you already do it should be fine. That said, after 2 losses now, I know I'll carry on if i get pregnant again but just tone it down a bit like drop the weights to lighter ones and not push myself so hard.

7 or 8 DPO for me and did an IC this morning with FMU. BFN of course, didn't expect anything else really.

InDreamland · 10/05/2019 08:45

@Frillyfarmer your friends sounds a little self absorbed.

@Russkispy how are you? Thinking of you.

@Boboelephant hope your pregnancy is going well and the twins are nice and comfortable in there.

AliceRR · 10/05/2019 08:48

@ale2992 We discuss exercise slightly upthread (you might be able to find it). I think it depends on the person but obviously when you’ve has a loss before you’re more likely to be extra careful and I think we concluded it’s much safer to continue and existing exercising regime than to introduce exercise while pregnant.

@Mistymeow I think I would rather wait to test if I can. Good luck with your appointment today.

fnej01 · 10/05/2019 13:16

Just chipping in quick on the sperm analysis. As part of my Tommy's RMC appointment my other half was invited to participate in a SA DNA trial. We haven't had results back yet but if any of you are under Tommy's might be an option. They were very clear it wasn't something they knew how to cure yet, but obviously they would treat if it showed due to infection. We have agreed to any research trial that might help someone even if it's not us, so have allowed them to store all our extra samples as part of a tissue bank for future research.

strawberrye · 10/05/2019 13:53

That's interesting @fnej01 which Tommy's are you at? I'm hoping they might offer it to us when we go

TinyPaws · 10/05/2019 15:56

Well my partner got sacked so not exactly stress free here.

Bluebelltulip · 10/05/2019 16:03

Sorry to hear that @TinyPaws hope they get something else soon x

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 10/05/2019 16:05

I don't really know what to say except in the nicest possible way, I can't believe I'm back here
