TTC after coming off Cerazette

Hi everyone!

Me and my boyfriend have decided to try for a baby. I’ve been on Cerazette for about 8 years with one break a few years back. I stopped taking the mini pill 16 days ago and still no bleed. Usually if I miss 1 day I’ll bleed the following week. I’ve taken a test which came back negative but wondering if it’s too early?
Can anyone else share their experience with coming off cerazette and their first bleed and/or conception please?! I’m desperate to get pregnant!

@DaniX91 I'd like to say you won't but erm.....

I've done NOTHING but obsess over it since we decided to go for it back in March!

@tisonlymeagain I know for a fact I'm going to 🙈. Feel like I'm seeing so many babies and pregnant woman around at the minute too. My colleague is pregnant and found out it's a girl last week which is my dream.
Are you taking any pregnancy vitamins?

I want a girl too but we've already both got one of each so I don't suppose it really matters!

@tisonlymeagain oh that's a good price mind! Is your DP taking anything? I suppose all that matters is it being healthy 😊 would just love a little girl! We're taking these.

@DaniX91 No he's not taking anything at the moment, he's generally very fit and active but if nothing happens over the next few months I might start him on something!

Ha I only like girls names and girl clothes are just so cute but then again, I have the closest relationship with my son, it's true, little boys really are attached to their mums!

@tisonlymeagain aww that's lovely 😊 how old is your son? How do your children feel about a baby brother or sister or have you not spoken about it yet? Ha when I imagine having a baby, it's always a girl and I can't think of any boys names that I love. I work in a school and that can really put you off names that you were keen on!

@DaniX91 He is 12 this month! In a nutshell, they will be horrified haha, I've spoken about it jokingly but they don't know it is a real possibility. Not sure how they will react!

6dpo today in the longest 2WW ever. Barely any AF symptoms or anything, which in comparison to last month is very different. I was raging hormonal for the 2 weeks prior to AF last cycle.

@tisonlymeagain - I’m also 6dpo, not actively trying but by fluke DTD around the time I think I O’d. When are you first going to test?

Can someone please help me figure out what to make of these? I don't seem to be getting anything with them which makes me think a) I'm not doing it properly or 2. I'm just not going to ovulate 🤷🏽‍♀️ am I doing it on the right days?? I just don't understand when to do it lol

@JD154 I ovulated on day 13 last month. It's generally between days 13-16 for most women so just keep going with it. Around 10am and 5pm.

I've just realised that I've ran out of OPKs 😂🤦‍♀️ deciding whether to buy more for this month or just see what happens and I can generally spot ovulation anyways.

Ok thanks @Roo3125 I'll do some more tomorrow 🤞🏼 first ever time using opks so I'm totally new to it. I managed to conceive my first 2 from using a period and ovulation tracker app only, for some reason this time round I just don't feel it's going to be that easy lol

@JD154 Use your second wee of the day. I got my positive at 5pm after pretty much nothing a few hours before!

I think I'm too late to order more OPKs so I'm just going to DTD a lot over the next few days and hope for the best haha!

So ladies when I first commented on here I just came off the pill (4 weeks today) and today I had my BFP

Well I am around 8dpo today. Still really no symptoms, even AF which I’m usually feeling by now. Not reading anything into that, I’m glad that I am less hormonal this month! My boob is starting to hurt but it’s nowhere near on the same level as usual. I’m going to start testing on Sunday…

Ha @Roo3125 Score! For future info, if you can get to Savers they sell OPK strips in packs of 5 for £1. I always get some when I am passing ha!

Sorry @amiejb25 I missed your message - I am going to test Sunday, I should be 10dpo by then but maybe only 9dpo. Fertility Friend and Glow seem to be in dispute with each other! Not holding out much hope to be honest, got my hopes up too much last month and I don't want to feel so disappointed.

My GP told me you can be at your most fertile after coming off the pill @jennifer90, I think it can work out like that!

@tisonlymeagain I read up about it and yes it says you can be at your most fertile, I really hope you lovely ladies get a BFP soon 🤞 🙏

How many days after stopping the pill did you have the withdrawal bleed? I'm on day 14 and have had no bleed but I am tracking ovulation and got a flashing smiley this morning! Were you testing for ovulation?

Ooh flashy smiley @DaniX91 is that your first one? I had three days of flashing before static but don't be put off if it takes longer it can be up to 10!

@tisonlymeagain yea this is my first one. I'm so happy to see it cos now I feel like I know that the pill hasn't actually messed my body up! Surely it hasn't if I'm getting that result?

Yes I was stupidly happy about it too when it happened @DaniX91 - and nope it's a good sign. The pill hasn't messed mine either. I've had two perfectly normal 29 day cycles since stopping the pill.
