TTC after coming off Cerazette

Hi everyone!

Me and my boyfriend have decided to try for a baby. I’ve been on Cerazette for about 8 years with one break a few years back. I stopped taking the mini pill 16 days ago and still no bleed. Usually if I miss 1 day I’ll bleed the following week. I’ve taken a test which came back negative but wondering if it’s too early?
Can anyone else share their experience with coming off cerazette and their first bleed and/or conception please?! I’m desperate to get pregnant!

Last time I went to Tesco for one ( when I wasn’t ttc, just paranoid) I chickened out and left as they had them all locked in plastic boxes with security tags on 😂😂😂😂😂

They are a bit security daft in there haha! I teach in the area I live, so always have to buy them in the next town. Could imagine the kids' faces if any seen me! 🤦‍♀️😂

I'm feeling awful tonight. Hoping AF shows up or I'll need to do another test.

Heya, I stopped taking cerazette in January and I never had a withdrawal bleed. I had a bleed 5 weeks later which I assume was a period because it was sooo heavy & lasted 6 days. Felt sick mostly through the month of February only to be greeted by another bleed 26 days later.
Currently on CD11 waiting for ovulation.

@Comps83 That's rubbish, sorry to hear that :( At least you know now for certain.

I'm still feeling really sick tbh. Might go to the docs and see if they can do a test there.

I got pregnant as soon as I stopped taking cerazette. V v quick! A month later I got my positive test and never had a period after stopping.

I’m on day 2 and hoping it only lasts a few more days like a regular cycle!

I came off mine in November. Got the usual break bleed. Then my first cycle was 33 days followed by 30 days, 35 days and 26 days just recently.

It was like this last time too, my period was anything from 28 to 45 days. Took almost 10 months to get pregnant and I only had 7 cycles during that time.

Strange that you didn't have a bleed when you stopped taking it though. Do try relax and not think about it too much. I got pregnant the month we were moving house, infact I think the night we moved. We hardly had sex that month, certainly didn't think that wld have been the month! Good luck.

I also had no bleeds after coming off cerazette. First time I came off on 9th March baby born and of Jan. 2nd time I came off it 15th Dec baby born 10th Oct.

Every body is different. Give yourself time to.regulate before putting the pressure on.

Took a frer and two cheapies there - BFN. Can maybe see a line if I really squint but that's just wishful thinking. Hoping af starts soon so that we can try properly. Still very confused about the other tests but will just need to accept it.

@Comps83 It's so frustrating! Did another cheap one there - different make - and there's another faint line. I really need to stop taking tests till af shows up and then only use the expensive ones! Either the cheap ones are shit and throwing false readings everywhere, or they're better than the expensive ones. Grrr. There's defo more red in real life too - iPhone won't focus properly.

I feel like that FRER settled it for me. There was no hint of a line so I’m guessing the others were evaps

Soooo frustrating for you both girls, I’m sorry 😩 I was gutted when AF came but now I’m feeling ok about it like at least I know where I am now. I know the stress when waiting for it so I really do feel for you both especially with the tests up the bloody wall!!

I called and they said to wait till the lines get darker and then book an appointment with the midwife... they weren't very understanding tbh. Can see where they're coming from.

I'll need to just wait and see what happens. Can defo see a line on that one. Can't keep pissing away money on tests though!

It’s where the pee has evaporated and left a mark. But it will usually be grey in colour rather than whatever colour pregnancy will show on your test

@Robbo93 You can get a grey/colourless line that might appear after the test has dried out. Although, I read an article stating that if there is any colour then it can't be an evap.

And there’s definitely colour in it! Have you tried any of the strip tests? I picked up a load of cheap ones from wilko the other day along with some ovulation test strips to use this month. They’re like a quid for 3 x

It was test strips that I had colour with last week. I actually thought that test was a strip until I opened it. Will order some strips online as the chemist is starting to look at me funnily now! 😂
