TTC after coming off Cerazette

Hi everyone!

Me and my boyfriend have decided to try for a baby. I’ve been on Cerazette for about 8 years with one break a few years back. I stopped taking the mini pill 16 days ago and still no bleed. Usually if I miss 1 day I’ll bleed the following week. I’ve taken a test which came back negative but wondering if it’s too early?
Can anyone else share their experience with coming off cerazette and their first bleed and/or conception please?! I’m desperate to get pregnant!

Oh wow I've got a few apps on the go hoping one at least will help so I can see all diff predictions just in case lol!

@Abi58 They are quite similar! I think if you don't have the temp spike it can't confirm whether OV happened or not but unless you take the temperature religiously at the same time of day (which I am not good at!) it won't show up.

I have a faint line on a test a very clear faint line just unsure really i am new to all of this😂

@tisonlymeagain feel a lot better seeing the similarity of ours! Pretty much follows the same pattern up and down etc!

What do you go on to compare with others?

Hoping I see a spoke tomorrow!

I'm pretty good with times apart from weekend lie ins haha!
I do get up and take it in the bathroom though but seen as ours looks similar and I do the same every day it might be a diff temp but should still show the right pattern (as soon as I wake up but pop to the bathroom lol)

@LaurenJ1998 are you confused because you aren't sure if it's positive?

At the bottom of the typing box it should have a smiley face a 't' and a paperclip. Click the paperclip and choose the photo.

If you can't it could be if you've only just signed up it can take 22 hours I think to let you post one?

@Abi58 On Fertility Friend if you put all you data in, you can go to 'Analyse' and select charts like mine. There you can choose to see charts that resulted in pregnancy with similar pre-ovulation temperatures etc. Quite interesting! You have to be a VIP member I think but I'm still on the 28 days free trial thing.

@tisonlymeagain oh ok that's interesting I'll have a look 😁 did yours come back with many similarities to those who got pregnant?

Yeah! @Abi58 what I found reassuring was that everyone's was different and even with the ones that resulted in pregnancy...some had a clear spike, some not so much, some had what looked like an implantation dip, others had none....

I've had 24 hours of positive on OPK strips and DTD 5 times in the last 4 days Do you think I need to do it again today?

Wow 24hours?? Mine was only a few hours before it started to decline! Got for it? The more the better 😁

@tisonlymeagain make the most of it I have no idea how long it should last. Mine was very fain Monday night then tested after work tues and got positive later that night it was still strong but fainter so negative then last night was still more than Monday's faint but negative...if that makes sense haha!

In the 2ww is there anything we are meant to do? Like not drink (I'm talking a can of cider or glass of Prosecco not getting smashed) and other things you shouldn't eat when pregnant when does that start? On Sunday I'll be having steak and I love mine rare and would usually have a glass of something...is this now a no go until I get a negative?

Sorry @Abi58 meant to come back to this. I don't drink too much in 2WW but I'm not giving everything up now. I've seen the slogan "drink till it's pink" and I'm going with that! I won't get absolutely wasted but I'll have a couple at the weekend.

Temp went up slightly today so hoping charting will confirm ovulation tomorrow or Sunday. OPK was lighter today so I think I've ovulated and that puts me at 1dpo today and the start of the long 2WW

@tisonlymeagain like the 'drink until it's pink' expression! I pretty much followed the same at the advice of my doctor. It took us a long time to conceive and the GP stated not too stress too much about the 2WW - if you're struggling to conceive it's not great for your mental health to beat yourself up repeatedly for two weeks, better to live a normal life in moderation....

I think that's the best plan @Avocuddles I mean it could take months, if not years for some people - you can't put your life on hold and also, think how many unplanned pregnancies there are!

So today I did my temperature as I am charting and Fertility Frjend confirmed ovulation as CD14 based on this which would make me 3dpo and AF due on 28th  But this conflicts slightly with OPKs and the Glow App still has me as ovulation on 2dpo with AF due on 30th. Last cycle Glow predicted AF for 3rd May based on OPKs and it came on the 2nd so I think I'm going to meet in the middle and assume AF will come on 29th?! So confusing! Either way I am either 2 or 3 dpo

I've just spent about 3 hours reading through this whole thread 🙈 to say I'm already obsessed might be a slight understatement.

Congratulations to everyone who's had their BFP, you must be so excited.

I was on Cerelle for around 11 years and only had a few small bleeds. I took my last one on the 10th of this month and have had nothing apart from slight cramps. Reading all of your messages I can now see that I'm being very impatient!

I did a Clearblue ovulation test this morning which came back negative.

I'd just like to hear from people who've shared the same experience really!

Haha bloody hell thats a lot of reading!
I was on cerelle/cerazette (depending on what my pharmacy decided to dispense that month!) for 9 years and it took me 17 days to get my first bleed. But my first cycle from that bleed I got my BFP, I'm now 10 weeks 2 days! I am one of the very lucky ones that everything happened so fast though. I was never expecting it to but it goes to show that it can happen xx

Hi DaniX91. I was on the combined pill for many years then switched on to cerazette for the last few months. I had no bleeding whilst on cerazette. After stopping the pill I had no withdrawal bleed. Stomach cramps for 2 weeks followed by nausea for next 2 weeks. I ovulated for the 1st time about 6 weeks after stopping, confirmed by 1st period 2 weeks later. So took me 8 weeks to get first period.
From this thread I gather most people's cycles are back within a month or so, and lots of people report hormonal symptoms esp at first. And you can be lucky and get pregnant straight away! I hope you don't have too long to wait till your first period, and then you can really start trying & cycle tracking! But yes, some patience might be needed initially!

@Skyla01 I know I need to be more patient but it just isn't one of my strongest qualities once I set my mind to something 😂
Do you think I shouldn't bother with the ovulation tests until I've had my first bleed then?x

I came off the pill in January, had my withdrawal bleed then waited 74 days for my period. Nothing since.... day 41, just casually waiting...

@Mycrazylife85 great to hear your experience. Do you use ovulation tests and have you done a pregnancy test?
The waiting and not knowing what's going on is so frustrating isn't it!
