TTC after coming off Cerazette

Hi everyone!

Me and my boyfriend have decided to try for a baby. I’ve been on Cerazette for about 8 years with one break a few years back. I stopped taking the mini pill 16 days ago and still no bleed. Usually if I miss 1 day I’ll bleed the following week. I’ve taken a test which came back negative but wondering if it’s too early?
Can anyone else share their experience with coming off cerazette and their first bleed and/or conception please?! I’m desperate to get pregnant!

Interesting thread. I've just come off it about 10 days ago. Haven't had a period since October. No sign of anything yet but a slight period pain type of backache comes and goes.

Still in two minds whether we are going to TTC or not, I'm 40 this and we're trying to decide whether it's something we want or whether DP or myself will get sterilised but decided to come off it while we are making that decision to let things settle down.

Hmm interesting read #tisonlymeagain, does that mean on average we should be ovulating again within 3 weeks of coming off the pill?
Im 11 days off it today & already feeling the stress of it. Wish I had read more about it sooner & came off waaay before we wanted to ttc.
Also my poor dh hasn’t been well the past week & I’m feeling like a horrible person as I’m so frustrated that we haven’t dtd in that time! Probably not much change of conceiving yet but still..... ttc is already changing me into a crazy woman.

Must admit, my OH is quite happy about getting to DTD more often! 😂🤦‍♀️

I'm 4 weeks off it now but if I've ovulated within that time then there's definitely plenty of chances to conceive I guess. Interesting read!

Still no AF - that's over 4 weeks now from stopping the pill 🙄

@Rosie2531 mine came 5 weeks after stopping with no withdrawal bleed... just a full blown heavy period for 6 days xx

Just took an IC which had a very faint line but I’m not taking that to mean anything after the previous faint lines I’ve had

I've been stalking the thread for a few days and it's really useful, thank you! I'm 31 and came of Yasmin 2 weeks ago - ttc from now even though appreciate what the drs day about waiting for AF I'm just too impatient! Still no sign yet - trying to track my bbt so see if / when I ovulate but nothing so far! Not really had any side effects from coming off the pill yet - has anyone else?

@sophwolf I’m almost 9 weeks off the pill, no sign of AF and not pregnant

@Comps83 Still no sign of AF for me 🙄 have had a very weird taste of metal/2p coins in my mouth for the past few days. Don't want to read into things too much though. Still no idea when/if I've ovulated... not trusting cheap test strips as they all come up with lines even when frers show nothing. I'm in limbo! 😂

I tested yesterday and had another faint line with a test strip. Have attached a photo. I'm guessing they just throw very bad evap lines which somehow has pink dye mixed in 😤

We've been DTD every 2nd day or so. I'm hoping if I have ovulated then there's a chance we'll catch it. Both my sisters got pregnant within the first month of 'not trying' when they stopped contraception pills.

Did these ones too and can see faint lines but convinced they're just evaps 🙄 I think even when I get a proper strong line I'm going to not be convinced! 😂

Hi guys, I thought I'd share my experience. I stopped taking cerelle at the end of November. It took about 3.5 weeks for me to have a normal period, one that lasted 5 days. That cycle was 27 days long then I had another period in January and 2 weeks later I conceived. Now 9 weeks pregnant.
I know I was so lucky, and I'm so grateful. Hoping the same happens to all of you

It’ll take some pretty strong distinct line to convince me now. My line appeared within the timeframe today. But was barely there. Just like the others I took the other week.

All of those were within 3 minutes 🤔 The only odd thing is seeing a line on the frer as I've not had one on that before. I've definitely had a distinct taste of metal (reminds me of having braces) since Saturday.

I'm holding out for when a screen says the words as I'm not really trusting lines now!

My FRER was totally blank .

@Comps83 Not getting my hopes up. Just taking each day as it comes. Figuring if I stop being stressed then things are more likely to happen! 😂

I've been sick today 🤦‍♀️ during a lesson with one of my challenging classes too. Had to leave about 20 minutes in. Can't believe how sick I'm feeling 🤢

Remember that you could still have ovulated without af 🤔

Thinking the frer might not have been an evap at all 🙄 have looked at the photos again and even changed to B+W and there's a distinct line which I've never seen with frer before.

And I was gonna say. I really don’t think you get an evap with a FRER. I’m always getting them on ICs but never on FRER.

I've ordered more on Amazon prime so will do one tomorrow in the evening probably. Going to stick with the frer and see. Might do a cheapy tonight though since I have some available 😂 I actually feel so shit! Can't get rid of this taste and the sickness won't go away. My stomach feels like I have food poisoning (but I don't!) Someone in work actually asked me if I was pregnant today 🤦‍♀️

God what are we like we’re keeping the test market afloat
I can’t see colour. A definite line, within the 10mins but no colour. I wish I had a magnifying glass . I’m sure it just another evap on another 50p test
