TTC after coming off Cerazette

Hi everyone!

Me and my boyfriend have decided to try for a baby. I’ve been on Cerazette for about 8 years with one break a few years back. I stopped taking the mini pill 16 days ago and still no bleed. Usually if I miss 1 day I’ll bleed the following week. I’ve taken a test which came back negative but wondering if it’s too early?
Can anyone else share their experience with coming off cerazette and their first bleed and/or conception please?! I’m desperate to get pregnant!

Did a frer last night at 9pm and nothing. I'm so done with this, it's driving me crazy.

@Rosie2531 ah I'm sorry hun! 😩 I get your frustration. How long have you been off the pill now? Only suggestion is waiting longer (awful, I know) or getting bloods done at docs! I can deffo see faint lines on the others you've done though! 😩 x

I've highlighted the frer and there's something very faint but that's not normal for the length of time it's been since last weeks. Clearly something not right. Absolutely sick of it all. I'll need to go to the docs but even that's a 5 week wait.

@Rosie2531 hmm yeah you'd imagine it'd be darker by now. 5 weeks is a long time to wait for a docs appointment 😩

Still no sign of af. Having cramping on and off in the morning but nothing. Still feel sick, still have a weird taste in my mouth and I'm unbelievably grumpy. Feel scunnered! 😂

CD20 for me, just had my smiley face on the clearblue digital!
Not sure if this is cycle 1, 2 or 3 though :/

Well either AF is here or it’s the withdrawal bleed . Really hope it’s the former. So I’m guessing all my ‘lines’ were just bollocks.

@Robbo93 I'm on CD11 and waiting for my positive line. My temp has spiked today and my line has gotten stronger just now when I done OPK but still not a positive yet! According to the Glow app I'm meant to ovulate on CD14/15! First month doing this so no real idea what I'm doing but 😂x

@Rosie2531 yes, I'm apparently in my 2 day peak fertility. Not sure how it works from here but deffo DTD tonight.

@xoxhayleyxox I had no idea what i was doing either and started testing the day after AF finished just to make sure I didn't miss it.

I had no 2nd line at all up to CD18 and then even now it's still not the same strength as the control line but I've got minor cramps downstairs and some CM so something is going on lol

@Robbo93 haha yeah I started like day 5!! How strong are your lines? I'll attach mine that I just took. It's still no where near but it's deffo darker and I don't have to squint anymore!

@xoxhayleyxox it won't let me post any pictures today but they're darkish (not the same as the 1st line though) ... xx

Morning all. DP and I have officially decided to start TTC in June. I stopped taking Cerazette about 17 days ago and so far no sign of any period or anything.

Hoping that over the next two months my cycles start to go back to normal, I would have expected to have a bleed of some sort as normally if I've ever missed a pill, I'd have a little bleed the week after.

@tisonlymeagain hey! I was exactly the same, if I forgot one I'd bleed a bit the next week. It took me 16/17 days to get a period after coming off. So don't get too disappointed yet, it'll come!! Also remember you are able to conceive even without a period so keep an eye on pregnancy tests xx

That's true @xoxhayleyxox When I had my daughter (many years ago!) I came off the pill and never had a period inbetween getting pregnant 3 months later!

I have felt very achy, period-like pains for the past week but nothing yet.

I've been off it now for nearly 5 weeks and nothing! I think I might have had a small withdrawal bleed a few days after but can't remember when exactly 🙄 as I didn't log it.

Ps still have a metallic taste today and feel really sick again. This is so much fun! 😂😭

Still not sure if this AF as seems too light. It’s more like the bleeds I used to have whilst on the pill that an actual period.
We said we weren’t going to but I think I will get some ovulation tests as no point getting all stressed in a month wondering what’s gonna happen if my body isn’t back to normal and I’m not ovulating anyway

@Comps83 that's exactly what mine was like. I had to do a pregnancy test to make sure it wasn't implantation bleeding because it was so light. It lasted 5 days though. Yeah I think what you said is a great idea, I've started tracking ovulation now as I'm supposed to ovulate in 3 days and it's already causing me stress. Deffo wait to see if your body is back on track. You're heading in the right direction though!!

@Rosie2531 yep there's deffo a line!! Have you tried any strip test pregnancy ones?

Not today - we're having a lazy Saturday before walking the dogs. Might pick some up later. Pissing away money 🙄
