TTC after coming off Cerazette

Hi everyone!

Me and my boyfriend have decided to try for a baby. I’ve been on Cerazette for about 8 years with one break a few years back. I stopped taking the mini pill 16 days ago and still no bleed. Usually if I miss 1 day I’ll bleed the following week. I’ve taken a test which came back negative but wondering if it’s too early?
Can anyone else share their experience with coming off cerazette and their first bleed and/or conception please?! I’m desperate to get pregnant!

I came off Cerazette after 18 months last week, and according to OPKs ovulated last Thursday

Would be due around 31st December if I’m pregnant. I doubt it will be case of first shot on target though

@AfterLaughter I didn’t think I would get pregnant first cycle either but I did!

@AfterLaughter crikey that was quick to ovulate, well done you! 😂 fingers crossed for you! When are you due to test? I got pregnant first cycle too like @Comps83 so it's very doable!!

Also I can confirm pregnancy insomnia is definitely a thing. Every damn night I'm awake every hour and can't get back to sleep! 😩

I’m 7DPO (ish) at the moment.

I’ve got pregnant first cycle the previous 5 times (2 losses) so it wouldn’t surprise me however I was in my 20s and about 3 stone lighter then I’m almost 33 now.

I’m exhausted. The past few nights I’ve fallen asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow, and slept all night. Last night I slept without my white noise machine on - that’s not happened for YEARS And the precious 5 times this was the first sign of being up duffed. If my boobs get extremely sore in the next days I’m POAS

Good luck @AfterLaughter. I've been pregnant three times in the past and each one was instant, I am 39 now though and also 3 stone heavier so not holding out hope!

@xoxhayleyxox oh yes, pregnancy insomina is one of nature's cruel tricks. You want to try and enjoy your sleep as much as you can before baby comes along...but aha, no chance!

Just POAS - OPK strip not looking any darker than last night but I'm going to go on the ClearBlue as apparently, they are very accurate, and I know it's early in the day for the strips. I'll do another later this afternoon.

Looking forward to having a break from POAS for a week or so and peeing on my hand less!

Actually scrap that, not sure that was a great photo, it looks darker here. Either way, I'm having all the sex later!

@Robbo93 Really, really heavy 🤦‍♀️ I'm glad that I'm off work tomorrow! I think this is payback for saying it was light yesterday. Definitely af but much heavier than I've ever had before.

I always take heavy as a relatively good sign @Rosie2531 as it will mean that you built up a decent lining hopefully.

And ha, we've been busy the last few days, I need a break. I haven't told DP I've been testing or that I'm near ovulating as I didn't want him to feel any pressure and this level of activity is normal for us anyhow

@tisonlymeagain I'll be the same with my DP. He doesn't normally get nervous but don't want to put him off haha!

I'll take it as a good sign then. It's bloody awful! Pardon the pun 🙄 xx

Just calculated if I conceive this cycle my due date would be around my daughters birthday. Not sure if she'd be happy with that or not!

Predicted OV day for me today and based on OPKs I am going wjth that. We're on our way for a weekend away and I'm glad I can stop faffing about testing. Done all I can, we've DTD 5 times in the past 4 days and it's standard that we'll do it when we get to the hotel. I can do no more! 2WW beckons!

Sounds like you've done a fab job!! 😂 you should've deffo caught it! We only managed it 3/4 times over my OV window and managed it so I'm sure you're well in there! 😂

@rosie2531 sorry to hear af has arrived but I do agree it helps put you back on track for your cycle!

Yeah, at least I now have a starting point :) when do I start using the OPKS? 🤔 like CD9 onwards?

Still pretty heavy here 🙄 my af normally only lasts 3-4 days but I think this might end up 4-5 days!

Did any of you get your BFP?

I'm in a similar situation - just come off the pill but it was marvelon (not sure if it makes a difference?)

I've been off it for about 3-4 weeks (missed several pills before stopping)

Had spotting after the missed pills but no withdrawal bleed or anything since.

The last week or so I've had really sore nipples and then yesterday when I wiped it was like a clear jelly blob that was stretchy....never had it before, feeling hopeful it was ovulation but guess I'll have to wait to see

@Rosie2531 hmmm they say around then but I was too scared I was going to miss it so started from CD 6 😂 I OV'd CD13 so a day before I was predicted by Flo app, but cause it's your first cycle you could legit ovulate at any point so I'd be a bit more cautious this month! Luckily OPK's are cheaper that preggo tests 😂 I used the boots own ones, best ones I used for sure.

@Abi58 hey! Yeah I got my BFP first cycle! AF came about 17 days after I came off the mini pill and then got preggo that cycle! Currently 5+5 ☺️ deffo sounds like ovulation! I'd say DTD as much as possible the next couple days and hope you weren't too late! Are you going to start using OPKs to track ovulation? X

@Abi58 Welcome! :) I had a withdrawal bleed the week after stopping my pill and then nothing for 8 whole weeks! 😭😂 Now currently on CD4 and hopeful for this month!

@xoxhayleyxox Ok, I'll start doing that then. I have the one step ones from Amazon just now but not sure how many so will have to order more anyways.

I've just realised that if I get a BFP this month, I'll need to come up with a good excuse for my friend's hen do in May! Haha! 🤦‍♀️🙄😂

I was on the combined pill for 12 years so if it is ovulation so happy it's happened so quickly but trying not get my hopes up I am new to all of this and thought I'd have had a visit from af before I started to ovulate again.

We're pretty regular but have been a little more active the last few days hehe I do have some opks (cheap off eBay) took one the day of and after the jelly blob and there was a faint line but that's still negative so not sure, could have missed the surge with the test.

I had a breakthrough bleed after I missed some in the last pack (literally spotting only slight pink on tissue) but nothing since stopping.

Good luck girlies! And hi @Abi58 welcome to the madhouse 1DPO now (according to OPKs and Glow app) so officially on the 2WW. Trying not to get my hopes up but it's hard. DP and I went out for dinner last night and were even discussing names ha. We nailed four bottles of prosecco throughout the day night need to slow that down now but I'm going with the "drink until it's pink" philosophy!

I've decided this af business isn't all bad btw! DP clearly feels sorry for me and has let me have a long lie. I can hear him cutting the grass, washing the dishes and tidying the house... it's an Easter miracle! 😂🙄

It's also his birthday next week, so hopeful to dtd a lot without him realising I'm ovulating as I don't want to put him off haha!
