TTC after coming off Cerazette

Hi everyone!

Me and my boyfriend have decided to try for a baby. I’ve been on Cerazette for about 8 years with one break a few years back. I stopped taking the mini pill 16 days ago and still no bleed. Usually if I miss 1 day I’ll bleed the following week. I’ve taken a test which came back negative but wondering if it’s too early?
Can anyone else share their experience with coming off cerazette and their first bleed and/or conception please?! I’m desperate to get pregnant!

Really? Yeah bloods would've made more sense really considering you can do urine at home...

Yeah, I'm confused about the urine test too. Even if it comes back negative, it's not entirely conclusive as I've still had no sign of af 🤔 And those lines are definitely there, albeit faint. I'm not even sure what strength of test they'll use.

@Rosie2531 I've not slept all night because of it. Just been googling which is the worst thing to do. I'm just super nervous and want tomorrow morning to just be here now but my symptoms are in full swing today. I'm really dizzy and nauseous (actually been sick). So I'm hoping that's a positive sign.

Hmm yeah seems strange, but if they get a faint line then I'm sure they'll do bloods then!

Sorry to hear that @xoxhayleyxox fingers crossed it's not ectopic. Are you in any pain now? Hopefully you will get some good news tomorrow.

@Rosie2531 If the urine test does come back negative, I would push for bloods.

@xoxhayleyxox Symptoms are definitely a good sign :) have you had any shoulder pain? I'm really hopeful for you. Literally have everything crossed! I can imagine you wouldn't be able to sleep. Must be a really horrible feeling of having no control :( sending so much love and positive thoughts!

@tisonlymeagain I definitely will be. I'm anxious for 2pm. They'll probably say to call back tomorrow too 🙄 I did actually order more frer as they were only £5.50odd on Amazon, so I can do one of those tomorrow morning too :) xx

@tisonlymeagain no I haven't had any pain since Monday evening which lasted about 15 mins. It had settled by the time I spoke to the doctor but they still wanted me to come in which I was a bit like 'Ohhhh' about.
@Rosie2531 nope no shoulder pain and no bleeding! I feel rotten today but as long as baby is ok I can cope with that.
Ah roll on 2pm! To be fair if it's urine you'd have thought they'd just dip it at the surgery and considering it has to be fresh I'd imagine results should be back today? Depends how they do it I suppose doesn't it!

I'd say that's a good sign then @xoxhayleyxox I think if it was ectopic you'd have been in more frequent pain. When I was in early pregnancy with my first I had constant aches and pains for the first 12 weeks, I was always checking as it felt like I was about to start my period.

@tisonlymeagain yeah it was just a really strong period like cramp and sharp pain to my eighth which is why I called 111, but I never expected it to end up how it has! The doc I spoke to yesterday on the EPAU said that cramping when pregnant isn't normal... I was like??? EVERYWHERE says it is and millions of women get cramps... moron

@xoxhayleyxox Pfffft cramping is totally normal. I had it both times and both times have resulted in healthy babies (which are now healthy teenagers!) . I guess it's a good thing they are taking it seriously because ectopic can be very dangerous but I really don't think it sounds like this is right in your case. Someone I know had one last year and it was very different. She was bleeding etc and never actually got a positive pregnancy test, was only picked up through bloods.

I'm on CD08 today, but I have no idea if this will be a normal cycle or not so I am just going to try and base it on the fact that pre-pill (12 months ago) I was on about 28-35 day cycles. Based on that the Glow app says 'chance of pregnancy' from Monday with OV around Saturday time. I'm OPKing now though too so that should help.

@xoxhayleyxox I'm sure cramping is very normal. My sister had proper period cramps all during her second pregnancy. Wind can also cause sharp shooting type pains, so perhaps could have been that too? More frequent and common in early pregnancy.

It is good that they're taking it seriously but obviously very stressful and worrying for you.

Apparently the sample is 'being send away for analysis' but I'm really not sure where that would be. No idea what tests they're going to do either but a simple pregnancy test might just show the same as my own? 🤷‍♀️

@tisonlymeagain you've made me feel so much better, thank you! The letter they gave me was horrible! Basically said because they can't confirm pregnancy in the womb they have to believe I've had an ectopic pregnancy. It's clearly a generic letter but every case is different. I don't think they should've given me a letter, just an appointment date would've been fine. Even the doc said I'm sorry it's such a blunt letter as he handed me it, it made me cry!
Oh exciting!! Yeah I was doing OPKs from CD6 and ovulated CD13 so deffo keep an eye out! My app was 1 day out prediction wise and I had NO idea if it was an actual cycle but obviously turned out that it was!

@Rosie2531 that's what I'm praying it is! I'll let you guys know! Appointment is at 9am tomorrow and bloods take 1 to 2 hours to come back.

They obviously are looking for more than just normal HCG levels that a preggo test looks for then! That's good!

@xoxhayleyxox Ooh thanks, you've made me feel better about testing. I was paranoid that if I waited I could OV earlier and miss it!

God I honestly can sit up without feeling like I'm going to faint! I just called EPAU cause it can be a symptom of ectopic too but she said if I'm not in pain or bleeding then don't worry it's just a lovely symptom of early pregnancy. I feel horrific and hormonal and emotional ffs 😂

They've not received my results yet! 🙄 Need to call back tomorrow. Fml! 😂🤦‍♀️

That's a shame @xoxhayleyxox but definitely sounds like a normal pregnancy symptom. Try not to google yourself daft Mrs! Xx

Tested this morning and nothing :( will wait till 2 to see what the doctors is saying. I know what their answer will be though 😔

@Rosie2531 I've just had bloods done. They've sent me home and said will call me with the results. If they're not as high as they'd like they'll do a third blood test and a scan Monday. Otherwise they'll scan me next week and confirm
