TTC after coming off Cerazette

Hi everyone!

Me and my boyfriend have decided to try for a baby. I’ve been on Cerazette for about 8 years with one break a few years back. I stopped taking the mini pill 16 days ago and still no bleed. Usually if I miss 1 day I’ll bleed the following week. I’ve taken a test which came back negative but wondering if it’s too early?
Can anyone else share their experience with coming off cerazette and their first bleed and/or conception please?! I’m desperate to get pregnant!

@tisonlymeagain I have no idea 🤷‍♀️ stopped the pill about 8 weeks ago now. Had a withdrawal and haven't had anything since.

I took OPKs last Thursday at 1am (they arrived whilst on holiday) and they looked near positive, then the next ones were getting lighter. Took a test on Friday that looked to have a faint line.

So I have no idea what's going on 🤦‍♀️

@Rosie2531 there's deffo a line. I think you should call GP and get bloods done!

Yes agree with @xoxhayleyxox, maybe ask for bloods to be done later this week, they will be conclusive.

@tisonlymeagain @xoxhayleyxox Thanks ladies. I'm going to have to do that I think. Our GP is a nightmare though. Not sure if I should call the midwife helpline and ask them what to do?

@Rosie2531 you could do! Failing that I'm sure you could go to a walk in centre if you have one?! I would deffo try and get bloods done somewhere though especially whilst you're off work. My midwives seem pretty good, I registered on Friday and got my scan through yesterday! 5th June 😬 nervous and excited!

@xoxhayleyxox That's so exciting! Your midwife unit sounds on the ball.

I honestly don't know what to do. I don't want to waste NHS time by taking up an emergency appointment but can't get a go appointment for 2 weeks. I might see if I could get an appointment with the practice nurse. The receptionists are awful though so I don't really want to discuss options with them 🙄 will call up and see just now.

Right, spoke with my doctors. Actually feel bad as the receptionist was really nice 🤦‍♀️😂

I've to hand a sample in tomorrow morning and they're going to send it away for analysis. Not sure if that just means that they'll do another pregnancy test on it but at the least the ball is rolling!

I'm on CD9, was so emotional and moody yesterday, bad indigestion today ... poor DH had it tough last night with me moaning... I need to apologise over dinner tonight :(

@tisonlymeagain I've figured that cramps really do come at any time and I've never figured out why. My cramps during O were horrific, I felt worse then than I do now I'm pregnant.

Just joining this thread ttc#3 after coming off cerelle 3 weeks ago, no withdrawal bleed or af. I wasn't great at taking it anyway 🙄 had a bleed for a few days first week in March before I stopped it. Nice to know we seem to be all in a similar boat lol

So, I've got my sample to hand into the doctors today. Considering what to do regarding tests this week. I've ran out and don't particularly want to keep spending a fortune on frer. Do I buy IC's and see how they go or just wait until info from the docs then buy a frer? 🤔

Yeah, I think wait for the doctor's results @Rosie2531, did they give you any indication of how long it would be?

I decided to start OPK from today CD7, I am not expecting anything until at least next week but I've never used them before so I'd like to see some full true negatives first so that when I start to get a hint I can take it as an indication!

Just dropped it off there and the receptionist was lovely. She said the nurse is really interested so it's been made priority. I can call tomorrow after 2pm but will more likely be Friday. Not sure exactly where it's being sent to 🙄 but here's hoping for some answers!

Little update ladies. Been at the hospital all day as I had bad stomach pains last night and they're suspecting an ectopic pregnancy 😔 I've had a scan done and they can see a fluid filled sac but no yolk sac but could be because it's too early. They've done my hcg levels which are sitting at 1,179 which is good but I have to go back in 48 hours to have bloods done again and hope they've doubled. Was meant to be going to Amsterdam for my future sister in laws hen do this weekend but not allowed to fly now!

@xoxhayleyxox Oh no, that's awful for you. I really hope you're not ectopic and it's just been bad cramping :( let us know how you get on. Get lots of rest! Shame about the hen do too :(

I'm really nervous about them. My nurse friend said that they should have done bloods instead of urine 🤔
