TTC after coming off Cerazette

Hi everyone!

Me and my boyfriend have decided to try for a baby. I’ve been on Cerazette for about 8 years with one break a few years back. I stopped taking the mini pill 16 days ago and still no bleed. Usually if I miss 1 day I’ll bleed the following week. I’ve taken a test which came back negative but wondering if it’s too early?
Can anyone else share their experience with coming off cerazette and their first bleed and/or conception please?! I’m desperate to get pregnant!

@tisonlymeagain I used the Glow app, it was super accurate. I've only have one bleed since coming off cerazette and it predicted my OV Day buy 1 day out, and I managed to get my BFP this month so I'd say roll with it! I don't know when I'm expecting my missed period, app says Saturday so I guess I'll know by a stronger line when I POAS again!

I’m still doing OPKs even though I got the positive yday, for no other reason than I find it quite fascinating, having never thought about any of this fertility stuff before
Line is even stronger today

Think I’ll do them til it disappears again, then I can refer to the line strength for reference next month

Amazing how quickly they appear too. From blank white to bright red within 24hrs

@xoxhayleyxox Just woken up so will test just now! Confused by the OPK though as I've not had anything resembling af for 5/6 weeks so why would I be ovulating now? 🤷‍♀️😂

Stranger things happen @Rosie2531 with my daughter I think I was on CD67 when I must have conceived!

@Comps83 it's odd that I am weirdly excited to start testing with OPKs 😂

Well, there's definitely something there this time! Came up right away but a bit of a squinter. Not sure if my levels would be high when I've not had much sleep and peed at 1am lol! Please tell me I'm not going daft? 🤦‍♀️

I can’t see it. But then I’m not the best at this line spotting . How do your OKPs look? Really strong??

I did the OPKs last night and then wasted one this morning as I dipped it too far! 😂 They're strong though!

Well. I’m not sure about the FRER but the OPKS sound like its time to get to it you don’t need a period to ovulate. I don’t think cerazette stops ovulation anyway

I can see a hint of a line @Rosie2531 - can I just say though I never got a positive result with a First Response with my daughter, only on Clear Blue so it might be worth getting one of those to try? Seriously did three FR and nada, but I was definitely pregnant!

Cerazette does stop ovulation @Comps83, it's the only one of the mini pills that does.

"In contrast to traditional progestagen-only pills (POPs), the desogestrel-only pill Cerazette consistently inhibits ovulation. ... CONCLUSIONS: Ovulation inhibition with Cerazette is maintained after 12-h delays in tablet intake and return of ovulation takes at least 7 days."

My friend's giving me an NHS number from her work so will have to try that! 😂🤦‍♀️ will test later with the OPK and see if there's been any change. So weird!

Well, this is weird! The top is last night, middle this morning and bottom just now. The line is getting fainter. Does that mean I have ovulated? Or that it might be picking up hcg instead of the OPK hormone? 🤔
