Ooh @Realitysucks I'm keeping everything crossed for you, rest up xx @eloisa246 whoop whoop that's amazing, don't know anything about progesterone cream but could you take baby aspirin to help stave off a mc?
@Rose68 you could still gently ski.. I say that I'd probably mooch about and enjoy the apres but would be frustrated.. but you'd be preg.. x
Sending lots of love and baby dust ladies 💕💕💕⭐️⭐️⭐️

mellongoose · 26/03/2019 22:14

@Realitysucks I'm still pretty optimistic for you. I don't know what your usual AFs are like but that doesn't sound like one of mine. I don't want to get your hopes up unnecessarily but I've still got everything crossed 🤞 for you.

@Cleozeta sorry about the shitty cycles. I don't know what to suggest but you must be feeling really at a loss. Big hugs to you.

@eloisa246 Congratulations on your BFP. Really hoping it all goes well. Do the best you can. That's all you can do 👍

littlemimosa · 26/03/2019 22:43

Reality- I’m rooting for you, it’s still possible🤞x

Eloisa- omg! Amazing! What did you do differently? Do you think it’s a case of you relaxed because you knew you were starting Remind me about your cycles again, did you say you were having irregular ones?

Cleo - I’m so sorry to hear about your LP length again. How rubbish. Maybe it IS the DHEA? I’ve stopped taking it now, it definitely did something to me even at a v low dose. I got loads of spots and I swear my hair was dropping out. I’m stressed out enough without all that added on top.

littlemimosa · 26/03/2019 22:44

Eloisa-that was supposed to say ‘starting DE ivf’

rubyroot · 26/03/2019 23:12

Hi all

Not been following for a while- after a bout of gastroentritis (my partner) missed my first cycle of ttc after termination in late sept. After tfmr it took a while for body to get back to normal- still showing low levels of hcg and lots of bleeding - 'period' would start and I'd be bleeding for over two weeks- though my cycles were 25 days still (this is normal for me)Last cycle I felt body had finally returned to normal, but unfortunately bloe not up to dtd so missed out. So I have just had period, but only lasted three/four days instead of normal six days and I'm ovulating on day 6- 2 days after period ended. Well I had very slight bit of brown discharge yesterday as well as CM.

So question really? This is not usual for me. I normally tail off period after 6 days and then ovulate about day 10/11. Anyone experienced this? Is it due to termination? Could it be perimenopause? Should I put off ttc until next cycle?

mellongoose · 27/03/2019 07:03

Morning @rubyroot. Sorry you had a tmfr. I had one in Jan at 20 weeks and it was pretty traumatic if I'm honest. I had AF after about 6 weeks then again after another 30 days. HOWEVER I have CM now which is about 5 days earlier than usual. I thought my body had recovered well, but maybe not!

My plan is to DTD anyway (when possible since we are both working silly hours) and see what happens.

Samk79 · 27/03/2019 07:37

Hi ladies, I'm tentatively joining this thread
I'm 40 in June, have been ttc no 3 since aug 2018. I had my bfp in January but unfortunately had a mmc which I had surgical intervention for on Monday

We probably aren't going to actively start trying again for a few months but am sure you ladies have lots of advice/ support

Lexilooo · 27/03/2019 08:30

Hi everyone, sorry haven't been around much, was trying not to think about it too much during the tww.

Congratulations Russkispy, and tentatative congratulations Reality

Pleased to hear things are going well Hobbes and that your little one is now happy about the impending new arrivals.

AFM AF due either tomorrow or Saturday depending upon whether Ovia or Fertility Friend is right. Not sure whether we're in with a chance or not really, after the problem with the ovulation tests (which have been sent back) I am not sure exactly when I ovulated. Hopefully we got the timing reasonably ok, though I think we really need to DTD more during fertile week to stand a better chance. Going to have to have a word with DH I think.

Trying to avoid testing early, so planning to wait until the weekend.

Not looking forward to Mother's day, it feels so isolating when you see all the happy Mum's with their kids.

Realitysucks · 27/03/2019 09:36

Hi ladies, well no more signs of AF so I mm properly confused and another negative test this morning!

eloisa246 · 27/03/2019 11:28

hi all, Booseys, Chat, Mimosa and Mellongoose thanks so much for your kind words (sorry if I've left anyone out, I'm not very good at keeping up messages!). This was the first time I got a BFP and felt really scared rather than happy - I've wised up to the uncertainty of it all. But yes as you said, Mellon all we can do is do our best, then left the universe step in.
Mimosa - I didn't do anything differently. I had been doing the circle+bloom natural cycle hypnosis programme - it gives you a 15 minute meditation for each day of your cycle and helps to activate your mind-body connection. Cycles were regular although recently shortened to 26 days, with short, light periods. I do think starting the DE IVF process helped me to feel I had options - that opened things up a bit. If and when I hit Cycle Day 1 I'll crack on with that. DE is still very much Plan A. Much love to all. xx

Russkispy · 27/03/2019 16:05

Just got my second HCG bloods since Monday. Massive rise! HCG is 2241! Twins? I'm freaking out! Just asked my clinic, and she said maybe! Omg! 😱😱😅

Hellenbackagen · 27/03/2019 16:47

russ how amazing would
That be!! 💐🍾💐🍾

ruby my periods have also changed since my tfmr.
Cycle length from 27 - 33 days. Periods a normal 5 days but really heavy now and dark , I lose a lot of clots now that I didn't used to. I'm also deficient in iron And folates since .
I'm cd1. Bang on 28 days this time. New it was coming. Got some clear blue opk for this cycle so I can actually work out when I'm ovulating as I'm just guessing at moment. Tho in all honesty my optimism that this could still happen is waning somewhat since I've just turned 47. I really feel too old now and I'm now really (unhelpfully) questioning my decision to opt for tfmr. I'm very sad really that we didn't consider continuing. It looks like that was my last chance. If I'd known I'd maybe do differently. She made it well past the first 12 weeks so maybe she should have been here ☹️ I was just too scared for her future knowing I'd have not been there to care for her as an adult...maybe if I'd been 25 not 45.
Anyway onwards and upwards. I need to throw myself into getting fit now and look forward to my holiday.

Realitysucks · 27/03/2019 17:26

@Ruskisspy ha ha you’re so gonna have twins that’s huge!!! 👶 👶!! 🤣🤣🤣

KristieP2018 · 27/03/2019 17:32

Oh I bet twins too @russkispy!!

Russkispy · 27/03/2019 19:19

We already have a DD of 21 months. I'm absolutely pooping myself but will deal with it if/when it comes to it. My clinic told me to have a scan on 17/04 and it's my birthday! So I'll shift the scan to the day after as got visitors then. Very anxious waiting time till then to find out if it's a singleton or indeed twins.

KristieP2018 · 27/03/2019 19:24

We’re almost birthday twins @russkispy! Mine’s the 16th Grin

Russkispy · 27/03/2019 19:36

Twins! 😱😱😂😂 I'll be 43 and you?

BooseysMom · 27/03/2019 19:45

@rubyroot.. so sorry about your tfmr. My cycles have gone weird in that I bleed for about 2 days, it disappears and then returns for a day, I have more clots than before..Sorry tmi. I think I ovulate around mid cycle. I'm still about 28 days each cycle.

@Samk79..welcome to our thread. Sorry to hear of your mmc. Good luck when you start ttc. I was 41 when I had DS

KristieP2018 · 27/03/2019 20:42

@russkispy Same! I’m a whole day older than you Grin

Hellenbackagen · 27/03/2019 22:09

It dawned on me today that I should have had my girl. She was meant to be. Feeling fraught and regretful.

rubyroot · 28/03/2019 00:04

Hi Helen I'm sorry you feel some regret- I am sure you did the right thing. I know I did as fluid all round baby which I think that early is normally linked to organ failure etc. I was told I would miscarry naturally eventually anyway. I truested the consultant- she was bloody good- CVS results given to me when I was already in hospital for TMFR and it was downs. The thing is Helen (and I dont know what the issue was with your baby) there are stereotypical ideas about downs and that is that they are loving cutesy kids with fairly severe developmental issues, but they are happy and healthy. But this is only a minority- many have massive issues with their organs and don't go to term anyway. We just see the ones that are born don't we?! I would also have given/be giving birth right now.
I really hope you learn to live with your decision, you did the right thing!

Cleozeta · 28/03/2019 07:23

Hellen - try not to regret. Would she have had a good life? Or would she potentially have always been in pain? Constant operations etc? Would she have had a quality of life?
There is a reason you made the desision that you did, try to go bsck to that place and remember why. I understand it can be easy to regret, but sometimes we look back with fuzzy glasses and it's not always clear the reasons we did things. But it would have been clear then. You would not have chosed lightly

Karigan195 · 28/03/2019 07:38

I’m really sorry to ask but what is Tmfr please?

Hellen there are good reasons for decisions that are made and there is no way you made it lightly. I’m so sorry for your loss. 💐

Cleozeta · 28/03/2019 09:23

So, I was wrong about my AF the other day, it wasn't, so now 12dpo, which is great, as it means the progesterone has worked in extending my lp. Hooray! Not sure when to stop taking it now though, sould I wait until 14dpo even though I'm definitely not pg? (RHR on ava has fully plummeted) or should I just stop now at 12dpo?

Rose68 · 28/03/2019 10:04

How do you know you aren’t pregnant Cleo? x
