Sounds great russkispy!

Reality - if your is a definite bfp too then I'm totally signing up to IVF ASAP!! 🤣

Cleozeta · 25/03/2019 17:28

Hobbes good luck for tomorrow

Russkispy · 25/03/2019 17:38

@Hobbes39 good luck for tomorrow! I'm sure it will go fine! All crossed for you!

BooseysMom · 25/03/2019 17:40

@Russkispy.. I have never seen a stronger line on mumsnet! Congrats on HCG result x

Hobbes39 · 25/03/2019 17:41

@BooseysMom - first off he sobbed and said "I hate babies" take them back!! 😱🙈 and I felt like we had ruined his life... was a shock as for so long he asked for a sibling, but I guess he has stopped recently so wasn't in that mindset...
thankfully after about half an hour (so really quickly) and having a chat about it and reassuring him that he was still my baby he calmed down and started to talk to my belly and is now actually v v excited about it all! (Phew!)

@Cleozeta I’m not hopeful to be honest. I will be gobsmacked if it turns out positive. I literally had given up, this Ivf journey is so emotionally draining. Then had a massive panic about the house buying and whether we are doing the right thing. I kind of want to know before the mortgage appointment on Wednesday. Our credit checks passed so have to make the application Wednesday night. I know it sounds stupid but of it’s positive I’m gonna panic about using all my savings for the house as we would have very little left after. Omg and having a mortgage if I m pregnant the stress of it all !!!

Cleozeta · 25/03/2019 18:05

I think the two together would be a bonus. Try to think of it as gains.

BooseysMom · 25/03/2019 19:08

@Hobbes39... omg that must have been hard to hear when he reacted like that initially. I can imagine DS would say exactly the same thing..he has never wanted a baby in the house..he knows he's no.1! But that's great your DS has come round to the idea so quickly. I remember watching something on Cbeebies where the child gives a present to the baby when he/she is born and the baby gives one to the child. I always thought that was a great idea.

@Realitysucks.. yes two huge life-changing things is alot to happen at once. I felt the same when we bought our house a year and a half ago (although admittedly I wasn't preg then!) But the fact it would leave us with little savings really scared me.. but I'm really glad we did it now. We couldn't have carried on renting where we were. So it was all for the best and now we've got a lovely garden which we've never had before! Good luck with it all x

Realitysucks · 26/03/2019 07:19

I’m out girls AF has arrived 😭

Russkispy · 26/03/2019 07:44

@Realitysucks I'm sorry about AF and that it didn't work for you this time. SadThanks

Realitysucks · 26/03/2019 08:11

Sorry tmi warning ! watery red so will be here by tonight 😞 I am upset but to be honest I’m just going to focus on the house now. I think I’m going to have a break and get some more money together as all our savings will be going into the house. We have a cycle left so will have a holiday in July and try after. I was starting to worry over the house buying and being on maternity only two months after taking the mortgage. At least this gives us some breathing space so trying to look at the positives ( of their ereally are any!) . A bit worried about the bleed only 12 days after EC though it looks like my time is getting shorter so will ring clinic when I get to work 😞

KristieP2018 · 26/03/2019 09:21

I’m so sorry Reality

Hobbes39 · 26/03/2019 09:35

@Realitysucks - I'm so sorry.
I don't want to give false hope, but could it be implant bleeding? I had a bleed that was bright red and filled a panty liner (but no more) around my test date this time and so got v worried, but it was a one time only thing and was without cramps...
Might be silly, but have you tested again to check? X

Realitysucks · 26/03/2019 10:06

@Hobbes39 I tested this morning it was negative. Have spoken to the clinic they have said it’s really important that I keep taking the meds until Sunday and test again on Friday and Saturday. The bleeding is darker now not enough to wear anything. I know what you’re saying and I’m trying not to get my hopes up but I think that’s what the clinic were implying.

Cleozeta · 26/03/2019 12:09

Reality - fingers crossed its not af

As for me, LP was 9 days again, even with the cyclogest. I don't understand Sad

eloisa246 · 26/03/2019 12:10

hi ladies, I need your help - and sorry for barging in and asking for help when I haven't been on the board much, but hope you understand!
I've got a BFP (natural, just as about to sign up for donor IVF) - and at age 46, I know my chances are slim of this progressing.
But wanting to do everything I can, I asked my GP for progesterone support. He said no. So in a bit of panic, I rushed to order Biovea cream on-line. Do any of you ladies use it or know about it? Any advice or help very welcome. xx

Cleozeta · 26/03/2019 13:03

Biovea cream did nothing for me, but then neither did cyclogest pesseries, so I think thats just my old shitty bag of a body.

GP's are very reluctant to prescribe progesterone, you'll be lucky to even get a test. Are you worried about your progesterone levels specifically? Or just about mc in general? When a mc happens over 40 it's usually simply because of poor egg quality. Age. And sadly, there's nothing we can do about that.

Hellenbackagen · 26/03/2019 13:36

eloisa im rooting for you. i know nothing about the cream but i have everything crossed for you.

Rose68 · 26/03/2019 13:58

@Realitysucks I’m so sorry it didn’t work out for you this time. 😢

@Eloisa246 wow! Congratulations! Sorry I don’t know anything about progesterone, but I do think it must have a good chance of progressing.

@Cleo, that’s shit about LP still being at 9 days! I do still think the dhea is a factor. Will be interesting to see what happens with mine this month.

AFM I’m still stressing about my skiing holiday, but at the same time I am laughing at myself for even daring to be so ridiculous. 😁

BooseysMom · 26/03/2019 14:18

@Realitysucks ...So very sorry about AF coming. Sad

@Eloisa246 ... Congratulations on your BFP! Flowers I don’t know anything about progesterone either, sorry. I'm 47 and rooting for you! I have very fluctuating hormones atm but am convinced I'm still ovulating. I have a glimmer of hope left in me somewhere. It's not over quite yet! Good luck x

eloisa246 · 26/03/2019 14:22

Thanks guys. I know the chances are low but I could be lucky. Thanks for your thoughts on progesterone Cleo. Yes so true that egg quality is the big factor, but thought a hormone boost might not hurt (I don't have a specific progesterone worry, more about mc in general). You're right about GPs being reluctant though. Best wishes to all.

Cleozeta · 26/03/2019 14:50

Eloisa - you can try the biovea, it won't hurt. Just use a bit over different area's in rotation. I don't think its very strong though.
Also a good milti vitamin like pregnacare is a great idea as it contains many progesterone boosting things like vit C, and the B's which can help, as well as all the other goodies it contains.

Good luck to you, everything crossed

Hellenbackagen · 26/03/2019 16:39

I'm so fed up. 3 1/2 years now with no luck at all.

I knew af was coming but tested with an internet cheapie cos I've got loads and they'll just go out of date . Of course it was bfn which I knew . Cd 27 so any day ☹️. I don't get why my cycle is so regular and normal if I can't conceive anymore.

It happened at 44 within 2 months of trying ☹️ (ended badly but...)

Realitysucks · 26/03/2019 18:29

Thanks girls, well bleeding has not got any worse today but I expect it will just build up and start properly tomorrow. Have pain on the right side which is where they got the eggs from so who knows. On way home from work now to curl up on the sofa 😢

Hellenbackagen · 26/03/2019 18:31

Reality
Really hope it's not af for you x
