Sorry posted too early .. I didn’t have any further fertility treatment than collection though. But I think the hormones and the procedure will undoubtedly make you crampy and sore and not to mention the stress. I have fingers crossed for you

I think my tww kinda over... I feel all kinds of pmty and I did a first response test today and it was negative 😞. I think the pmt hormones have sapped my positivity too. My boobs are super sore and I’m off to bed

Realitysucks · 20/03/2019 20:42

@Cleozeta 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I just nearly peed myself. To be honest I’d say at least 30 mins!!! I’ve had a bad day with it today! I was late this morning with mine but luckily wfh. Only Managed 23 mins before I couldn’t cope anymore then had three trips to the loo before 9am 🙄🤣🤣

Realitysucks · 20/03/2019 20:43

@Cleozeta basically don’t chance it unless your near the loo🤣🤣🤣🤦‍♀️

Cleozeta · 20/03/2019 21:58

Reality - we don't want to end up firing it out again do we 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Gizmojo - well the natural cycle IVF sounds a bit pointless, might as well just save the money and dtd! An attempt at more eggs would be required at least. My doc says it would be like 3 attempts in one cycle, sounds almost worth doing....

Hobbes39 · 20/03/2019 22:36

@Cleozeta - I found with the cyclogest that they irritated me... (apologies to everyone here for tmi but there's not a clean way of explaining!) whichever location I used: caused some spotting when I'm the front, and 🙈 also made me need to 'go' in the back....
so I actually alternated - in the morning would use back (much less messy, but only after I'd had a coffee and had been to the loo after.. 😂🙈
But the nighttime one would go in the front just before going to bed.
I actually had a different type of progestin this time and it was so much better than either cyclogest or crinone (which had its own special clumping issues!) can't actually remember what it was called but suspect it is more expensive than the others which is why the don't prescribe it more... but it was a lot less messy!

Congrats Ameliel!

Not very good at keeping up here I'm afraid and I'm a bit lost with some of the IVF chat but I hope it works out for those who are engaged with that.

Little mimosa , that must be tough. 42 is very young I'd have thought .

Me I'm.ib the midst of a shagging window with ovulation having occurred today or yesterday ...well who knows because the bastarding digital ovulation kit doesn't seem to be working properly. I've realised it maybe doesn't like being used over 2 cycles? Anyone else come across this?

With the prospect of ovulation that may be happening today tomorrow or already happened we are just going free for all. After 5 what's in 6 days in knackered and losing my mojo. It's all become a bit mechanical .....

littlemimosa · 21/03/2019 07:29

Thanks everyone. You’ve all cheered me up with your peasary talk too! Lol.
I’ve been to my doctor who just said it’s unlikely to be actual menopause yet. Said it’s just peri. My bloods were done at least a year ago when I got referred to the hospital (also had scan and hsg and sperm count - all good) and all was fine but no I never had fsh or amh. He said it was pointless as it wouldn’t really tell us much as fsh fluctuates hugely at our age. Actually no, I did have fsh done, it was 6, but it was day 21. I think all amh would do is stress me further. He said stress is causing the problems so I’m trying to de-stress, sort some relationship issues out.
My cycles have become slowly more irregular over the past 2 years but much more so in the last year. I’ve now had 4 of these really long cycles accompanied by dryness, no ovulation and hot flashes. Which is no fun.
Anyway good luck with the pessaries ladies!

hmm123 · 21/03/2019 07:52

Hi

I'm back after dropping out for a while as I had a wobble over whether we are doing the right thing .. so I've decided we'll continue to give it a go until June and see what happens

Good luck to everyone on ivf and to those ladies who are pg

Dtd yesterday morning and got smiley face about an hour later. I don't know if that's enough though as I think smiley face comes 24-48 hrs before egg and dh is away tonight so won't be able to dtd again today

Timing everything is very difficult!

Cleozeta · 21/03/2019 09:34

Hobbes - alternating sounds like a good plan! I think this whole pessary thing may just take a bit of getting used to....

Mimosa - de-stressing is a great idea. Hopefully that will help. What cd are you now? You must be due for either ovulation or a breakthrough bleed soon? Hopefully next cycle will be smoother.

Welcome back hmm, you are starting well with the fact that you are still getting peaks! My peaks gave up on me about 4 months ago, never to be seen again. Still ovulating apparently, just no more satisfying smiley faces. Old haggered eggs must be just flopping out now.

BooseysMom · 21/03/2019 09:40

Morning ladies..the sun is shining and I've got a day off so gardening it is! Been feeling v. nauseaus lately so think ovulation is right now. Dtd once and will try later today. But omg the sick feeling is so strong! Anyone else get this around mid cycle?

@Hobbes39.. great to hear you are low risk! Congratulations!

@Littlemimosa..yes surely 42 too young to stop AF altogether. When did your mum go thru menopause? Mine had a 10 yr one .. lovely! .. and i think AF completely finished by 55. I still can't believe I'm having AF every month 28 day cycles at 47! This has to be last chance saloon for me now!

Love to all x

Rose68 · 21/03/2019 11:55

@Cleo and @Reality this pessary thing sounds interesting! And @Cleo I’m sure your eggs don’t ‘flop’ out 🤣🤣🤣

Welcome back @Hmm123, it’s good to ‘see’ you again, it looks like we are on a similar time scale.

@Booseys I don’t feel nauseous at ovulation, but sometimes I do a few days before AF. I know if I feel nauseous before AF I’m not pregnant. Have a lovely day off!

BooseysMom · 21/03/2019 13:45

Thank you Rose. Well I had a coffee and feel awful now and the palpitations are just horrendous. It has to be hormonal imbalance.

weasledee · 21/03/2019 13:48

Hi ladies, I'm still here!!!! :)
So it's been 5/6 months since we stopped ttc and it's getting a little easier (not much!)
We've booked a big family safari holiday for Xmas so it's taken the choice away even more so, as couldn't b pregnant.
I'm slowly forgiving myself for not trying earlier and also remembering that we did manage to have a 3rd pregnancy post 40, it just didn't work out...... (had T18)
Still keeping everything crossed for those trying..... :)

Realitysucks · 21/03/2019 18:49

Hi @Littlemimosa @hmm123 and @Rose68 haven’t seen you ladies for a bit so nice you are back x

Well this pessary business is really the only thing keeping me saine to be honest and making me laugh. I literally am standing on my tube in the mornings hoping the little bugger doesn’t fire out 🤣🤣🤣

So girls I’ve messed up 9dpo5dpt and done a test 🙄🙄🙄 and guess what ..........it was positive ta da !!!🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️😂🤷‍♀️ but of course it was positive cause the blooming trigger isn’t out my system yet so that was a blooming pointless exercise wasn’t it !

Hobbes39 · 21/03/2019 19:12

@Realitysucks - how many days past egg collection are you??

OP posts:
Hobbes39 · 21/03/2019 19:16

I think you are 6 or 7 days past egg collection? If so, then yes, it's probably too early, but you could test out your trigger if you are so inclined - that way of you get a positive once you've tested it out you'll know it's a real one! X

OP posts:
Realitysucks · 21/03/2019 19:17

@hobbes39 9 days since trigger, 7 since egg collection and 5 since transfer 😬🙄 too early I know !

Chatbash72 · 22/03/2019 10:37

@BooseysMom I don't get sickness but a stinking/stonking migraine at ovulation. Arrived yesterday.. but apparently an orgasm is fab for headaches... job done 🤣🤣

Realitysucks · 22/03/2019 13:06

@Chatbash72 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Cleozeta · 22/03/2019 15:54

Boosey - I think palpatations are quite common in perimenopause

Good to see you back weasle. Have you stopped trying but not protecting? If thats the case then clearly an awkwardly timed safari trip should do it! Sods law & all that.

Reality - fingers crossed for you.

AFM, I've just realised I have lost hope and didn't even realise. I used to get really excited and filled with hope over the 2ww, but I was thinking earlier, I haven't felt like that for ages, I'm just going through the motions, doing the pessaries, taking a truck load of suppliments, opk's, drinking the yummy chinese tea and collecting my ava data every day, just standard now and it doesn't feel like its working towards anything anymore, just going through the motions. I guess thats what happens after 2 years with nothing to show for it. It's become mundane. Does anyone else feel like this?

Snowie3 · 22/03/2019 16:21

Hi Cleo.

I have felt like that often. Like you have to do it to say that you've done it but kind of just watching the time go by until its finished. Or watching it run down..

However, i was like that before i met my DH at 38 and also for my son. When i fell pregnant with him through ivf i was so certain it had failed that month i was about to stop the pessaries to have a glass of wine. I was so just going through the motions it felt completely like that.

I would also feel like that now i think, but the year has been mixed with a miscarriage and then failed ivf for me so haven't really settled into the monotony.. yet?!

Anyway, my point is that it's probably ok and normal to feel like, that and means nothing. and after a while, as long as you are in the game and you have nothing standing in your way, your number might just come up! Eventually it has to!!

Sending big hugs xx

Russkispy · 22/03/2019 16:22

Clinic told me to do beta on Monday and Wednesday next week but will do HPT first thing on Monday morning and take it from there. Haven't heard from PGS testing yet, on my frozen embryo. Oh and I'm 9dp5dt. I'm sure it's "safe" to test now but I'm not caving in as never been an early tester Smile

Karigan195 · 22/03/2019 16:38

Totally Cleo only the irony is that’s when it happened and now I’m kicking myself because I stopped taking the folic acid etc I had given up so much. So now of course I’m worried about things being wrong at the 20 week scan.

Megan2018 · 22/03/2019 16:48

@Karigan195 @Cleozeta
I was not taking any folic acid etc so also worried about next scan results.
I seemed to conceive only when drinking a bottle of wine + daily (it was Christmas) and eating shite.
When I was being healthy and doing all the "right" things there was not a sniff of a BFP.

Not exactly helping the situation right now either as have just eaten 2 packets of crisps in one go. I should be eating grapes.

Cleozeta · 22/03/2019 18:10

Thanks snowie.

Russkispy - fingers crossed!

Karrigan - chances are all will be fine! But yeah, typical timing after you stop taking stuff!

Megan, I like your conception plan, maybe I will try that one out 🤣
