Hello!

I've just turned 24 and me and husband have just started TTC first baby. Thought that it would be good to have a thread going with a few people in a similar situation! Very few of my friends are in the same situation as we got married early and now thinking of babies whilst lots of friends are still at uni :)

Anyone one to join a group discussion with how things are going?

@cc1616540 Keeping my fingers crossed for you that this is the month.

cc1616540 · 19/04/2019 21:30

@Rosie2531 yeah, I definitely had decided I'd like children before I was 30, thankfully my DH (to be) agrees and is the same. We never really thought about putting it off for anything! With us getting married in October it was a 'worry' that I wouldn't fit in my dress, but now I'd be over the moon so I don't think it would matter that much to me now.

You definitely could think of a thousand reasons not to right now, but it's like that with everything in life, there's always a better time that never comes

AF started this morning, 3 days early so my cycle was 25 days instead of the usual 28 days so officially starting cycle one of TTC.
Hoping it's just a one off and my bodies messing with me, now I'm a bit unsure when ovulation day might be this month, normally i get some symptoms so could make a good guess. Don't want to put stress on things too much and use OPKs or anything to start with, just going to see how this month goes and DTD around when I think ovulation time might be.
I've been trying to get used to not using antihistamines with hayfever, and using prevalin and eye drops instead but have caved a couple of times the past week, so really going to try not to take them from now on as i know it's not ideal to in pregnancy.

mrssunshinexxx · 21/04/2019 12:13

1990 you sound similar to be I just use an app called ovia to track my period that will then tell. You when you are ovulating x

1990shopefulftm · 21/04/2019 12:56

@mrssunshinexxx
Thank you for the recommendation, I'll check it out :)

mrssunshinexxx · 28/04/2019 08:21

How's everyone getting on x

1990shopefulftm · 28/04/2019 11:04

Not much happening, waiting on ovulation which should be in three or four days time. Keep browsing mothercare's website to pass the time.

Roo3125 · 28/04/2019 12:43

@1990shopefulftm I'm in the same position. Ovulation should hopefully be in 2 days time. Using OPKs to identify exactly when (hopefully). DTD every day just in case! 😂

1990shopefulftm · 28/04/2019 13:36

@Roo3125 Sounds like you're doing everything you can, hopefully this is your month. I'm just going to see how this cycle goes, then if AF comes I'll try OPK's then. Bit TMI but i'm horrendous at peeing in pots, only done a few urine tests in my life so hoping I don't end up needing to do many PG tests when the time comes.

Roo3125 · 28/04/2019 13:57

@1990shopefulftm I wasn't going to use OPKs but then, after having no af for over 55 days coming of the pill, I want to make sure that I'm definitely ovulating! :)

We were going to dtd every other day but I'm worried we miss the 'right time', so aiming for every day! 😂

Just found out that a close friend is pg, so I'm even more determined as would love us to have kids close in age.

I use a mug! Much wider and just hold it in the bowl :) try that and see!

1990shopefulftm · 28/04/2019 14:15

@roo3215 that's understandable, I ve not been on the pill for a couple of years so think I know my body reasonably well.
That d be lovely to have your kids grow up together.
That's a brilliant idea, thank you. we ve got plenty of old mugs lying around.

1990shopefulftm · 28/04/2019 14:16

@roo3125 sorry I typed your username out wrong on my phone.

Roo3125 · 28/04/2019 15:07

@1990shopefulftm I'm terrible at aiming, so the big mug works quite well for me! 😂

I really hope it works out :) I'm excited for when I do finally ovulate and then can start the 2ww!

mrssunshinexxx · 28/04/2019 18:21

I just hold the test under whilst I'm weeing- is this my accurate ??

1990shopefulftm · 01/05/2019 19:56

@mrssunshinexxx that's accurate if you can aim on it, i've only done two tests as i had one late AF a few months ago as my health wasn't great bit TMI but i invalidated one by aiming badly

flossy12 · 02/05/2019 00:05

Stopped my cerazette on Sunday the 28th and have just started AF which I'm happy about, expected it to take months, so nervous to start my TTC journey so glad for all the kind words you guys have daily x

1990shopefulftm · 02/05/2019 14:03

@flossy12 I took cerazette a few years ago, when I came off it my cycles got back to normal quite quickly so hopefully that's the case for you too.

flossy12 · 02/05/2019 21:30

I hope so! ☺️ as the days go on I get more and more excited and less nervous

Kermit1011 · 20/05/2019 11:26

Hello, I’m 24 and my partner is 27, we’re on our 2nd cycle of trying ‘properly’ I get acne on my jaw line and a few hairs under my belly button and now am convinced I have PCOS as I have stupidly gone on mad googling sprees! Have regular cycles of 24-25 days but can be heavy! I know I shouldn’t really be worrying after 2 cycles but it’s soooo hard not to, and feel like if there was a problem I’d rather know sooner than later....?

Pinksunset1 · 23/05/2019 23:02

Hi ladies just an update I had my laparoscopic surgery last Monday still recovering they found stage two endometriosis and burnt it away glad I have a diagnosis as this has been ongoing since November and so had pain. I’m onto cycle 6 but still recovering so won’t be BFP anytime soon

L0205 · 27/05/2019 11:36

Update:
9 months after getting my copper coil removed, I have found out today I am about a month pregnant!!!!! Symptoms are: hunger, light headed once or twice a day, need to pee quite often and sore boobs. Didn't get implantation bleeding so I thought I was pmsing, but I was 9 days late so I decided to test with an eBay cheapie and the line was bright red. Went and bought a clear blue digital test and it shows 3+ weeks!!!! Bf and I are both over the moon 🥰😍

PeanutButter19 · 27/05/2019 17:32

Hi, I’m 27 and TTC baby number 1 if my periods ever come back again after the pill 🙈

lovesT · 28/05/2019 13:46

@Pinksunset1, that's good that something has been done about the endometriosis, I really hope you recover well. Another step closer to a BFP :)

@L0205 that's so exciting! Congratulations :) how soon did you get your symptoms?

Hopefully everyone is doing well :) I've just come back from a family holiday which happened to be my fertile week! So we did as much as we could haha :) back at that TWW again!

L0205 · 28/05/2019 13:56

@lovesT thank you!!! So luckily I kept track of my symptoms this month after ovulation and looks like they started a couple of weeks ago, I had a bit of nausea (minimal), tender breasts, hunger and bloating. I also had a few cramps here and there and yesterday I had the most painful cramp that lasted like 10 mins. I actually started making my way to the hospital but the pain disappeared so we went back home. I did some research and seems to be normal in the first trimester.
Today I've not had many symptoms and they come and go, the only symptom which doesn't seem to go away is breast sensitivity. Oh and also my breasts have grown and my nipples are huge!

Pinksunset1 · 28/05/2019 23:37

@lovesT thank you I hope so to it's been a long wait to be diagnosed but got there in the end. How are you getting on?xx
